Is the age of Aquarius a real thing?

If it is, are we living on it?

Yes, and yes. But only at the beginning. Each age lasts about 2000 years as the Solar system progresses in its 25,000 year orbit around the galactic center.

Well, but where does this theory come from? And how did someone find out that we were living in the age of Pisces, not Capricorn, Libra or any other sign?

There is always a bit of talk about the "Age of Aquarius"
in astrological circles.

Ironically, Tropicalists seem into this topic considering the
tropical longitude of the VP is 0 Aries 0' 0" for all time by definition

Totally agree. Which is why it's so important to determine the Astrological Ages tropically, as well as sidereally.
