WELL!! I just began reading into natal charts, planets, the zodiacs, etc etc and stumbled upon some EXTREMELY interesting things today regarding "inherited" planets or traits.
A brief summary of MY aspects (relative to this discussion):
Sun/Venus in Taurus
Moon and Mars in Cancer
Saturn, Neptune, Uranus in capricorn- all in Retrograde
Pluto in Scorpio, also retrograde.
Ascendant is Sagittarius
North Node is Pisces, south node in virgo
Now here's a look at some of my dad's aspects:
Sun/Saturn in Sagittarius
Moon, Mars, Neptune in Scorpio
Pluto in Virgo
Lilith in Pisces
North node is Scorpio, south node taurus
and my mom's:
Sun, Venus, Mercury(retrograde) in Taurus
Moon in Cancer
Jupiter in Virgo, retrograde
Saturn in Sagittarius, retrograde
Neptune in Scorpio, retrograde
Pluto in Leo, retrograde
North node is Scorpio, south node Taurus.
WOW!!! I can't help but notice A LOT of similarities here... Scorpio being heavily dominate in both parents charts and in mine from Pluto being in Scorpio, also having moon and mars in the same house together like my dad. I get my cancer moon, and Taurus nature, from my mother as well as several retrograde planets.
My ascendant is Sagittarius, and my dad and I have always gotten along well for the most part and have a good relationship. His Lilith in Pisces and my north node as Pisces draw us together to achieve goals and dreams together, we help each other often and he is very understanding and supportive of my artistic aspirations.
My mother and I however, have a very difficult and sometimes disturbing relationship. We relate together on many issues but completely repel each other on others. It seems her north node being Scorpio causes conflict with her Taurus nature, and it has in her life. She is 55 and after deep reflection she admits that she has "never really lived"..
What can the significance of this positioning mean?? And what about inheriting several retrograde planets?!?! Neither of my parents have ANY Capricorn in their chart yet it dominates mine- could this possibly explain why my parents are very against my Spiritual calling? They do not want me to grow close to my native roots out of fear... they are both lonely and unhappy, I want to help them. Any advice is greatly appreciated!!!
