Hi, I've searched the forum for a thread on comparing these synastry aspects, but I found nothing, so I'm posting the question: which aspect would be considered stronger? Sun conjunct moon or sun trine venus? Or would you give them equal weight? (ok, I know you must look at all aspects, but as an indication...) Thanks in advance!

I also think so. Cafe Astrology has a compatibility score sheet and they give 3 points to both aspects, but I think sun trine venus is more of a gentle and kind feel good factor that could be found in a friendship, whereas sun conjunct moon can never be friends. But of course for a specific synastry case all aspects must be considered.

i disagree. my current love's sun is conjunct my moon and though we are lovers, first and foremost we are friends. as this is happening in scorpio, there's nothing superficial about it.
i also have another very special friend whose sun is conjunct my moon.
personally, i love this aspect in synastry.
Pls don't get me wrong, sun conjunct moon is a great aspect for love relationships (it makes you feel like it's The One). I just meant that for the same reason it's hard to be "just friends". With sun trine venus I see that being easier.
But again, we must look at many other things. I have natal moon sextile venus, so sun conjunct moon also sextiles venus, but sun trine venus opposes moon, so maybe that's where I'm picking this up from.
