This is something I've been thinking about and contemplating a lot, discussing with a friend of mine. I've been thinking about war as well as symbolic war, every kind of destruction
One fact I've known for a long time is that without darkness, we don't know light, without death, life is meaningless, if we were constantly happy and in a state of peace or bliss, we'd have absolutely no reason to think about the nature of ourselves and of reality and to contemplate the truths, understand, know ourselves, transform
Destruction is the catalyst to evolution. Stagnation is ultimate death
However, there is a lot more to the picture. I question myself what a theoretical 'peaceful society' would be like. Would there be no chaos? Or would we simply know how to handle the chaos in productive/creative manners? Is there another way?
What I do believe is that we have a lot of fragmentation within our world that is pure illusion. We don't operate as one and if we were able to truly empathize and realize we're all basically the same, things would be a lot different. There are many divisions between us all that are just unnecessary. We all as humans have the same basic needs yet at the complex level are intricately different. Yet there's still some running thread that connects everyone. We all experience death and our life is ruled by the knowledge that we will one day die and that death is impending. In a lot of ways, life is about how we respond to that fear or that truth
Some of us respond to it by disassociating from the concept, some of us obsess over it, some of us attempt to achieve power over it either by causing death of others or by trying to transcend it. Some of us become anxious and hide. Some of us use that truth to drive us to the most meaningful and pure living possible
So death is inescapable for us, but how we choose to let it play with us governs its true nature beyond the fact it's an end to our current life
I guess to explore the topic we have to understand what causes war. Ultimately it goes down to power and money. It's not about truth, it's not about understanding, it's not about unity, it's not about living, it's not even about death, it's just about power. But power is baseless. What's the point of having power? Does it bring true satisfaction? Power is just a safety blanket for people who are too afraid to face themselves or the truth of their universe
If people were to theoretically transcend, we'd still have chaos, we'd still have disagreement, we'd still have evolution, but maybe we'd be a little more aware of what's truly driving us and what we really need. Power is a filler for things that we truly need on a spiritual, emotional level. Some people are just not aware of that
The world we live in is supposedly advanced, but if you pick it apart, we're still running on all the same primitive **** we were hundreds of thousands of years ago. We just have more means to chase our primitive desires such as power plus we are very humancentric and believe that all of nature and all of what exists is for us, so foolish to believe we're the chosen ones
