Uranus opposition Pluto transit

I take most transits with a grain of salt, but I cannot ignore this one which started two weeks ago for me because it is capable of suddenly destroying anything! I've just experienced several strange and disturbing omens in my life that confirm that this transit is ready to kick my ***!

1) When this transit began, a huge 400 year-old cottonwood tree next to my rural art studio broke at the base (from heavy winds?) and crashed to the ground! It was my favorite tree and even had an abandoned treehouse in it where I used to meditate sometimes. It may be symbolic of my studio situation (or even the city I live in), since that place has been my solid, secure cornerstone, my sylvan sanctuary of solitude since I arrived here in '02. [ It's my Saturn in Taurus.]

2) I read Lyn Birkbeck's transit description:

3) Yesterday I drew "The Tower" from the Thoth Tarot and that is easily the most destructive and powerful card in the deck -very Plutonian! It has almost the same exact meaning as the Uranus/Pluto opposition....so I am a bit on edge right now!

4) Today while running errands, a truck pulled up next to me and the driver was the spitting image of my friend Bob who died in 1998! It made me do a double-take!

Uranus is transiting my 3rd house so that has me a little concerned even with driving around here.

Looks like you already had yours.

Been going through the same transit and I don't think it has affected me all that much (natal Pluto in 7th and transiting Uranus in 1st house) in the grand scheme of things. Or, perhaps I should say it hasn't affected me much in a negative way. My entire life as I knew it changed already when Saturn entered my 7th house a few years ago.

There have been sudden changes but I'm looking at them as new opportunities rather than desperately trying to hold onto the old. The ship of steady career, husband, nice house in the suburbs with 2.2 children, a dog and 1.2 cats has sailed, already. Leaves me lots of room to embrace these changes/opportunities and explore. I don't look at it as a bad thing.

Yes ... this is what Pluto is about ... letting go of the past and embracing the new. I wrote on the "Pluto transits" about how my life has totally changed since 2007. I've only realised in the past few weeks how much of a transformation / turning point in my life that was. It never hurt because I embraced it and wanted it. It probably helped that it was a Pluto trine.

Oh, don't get me wrong, my Saturn visiting my 7th house hasn't been fun and it then hitting my natal Pluto was pretty brutal at first. I am a Cancer Sun so 'trying to hold on' is a natural response. But I feel I have let go of it so now I can actually move on. As for the current Uranus transit, I will deal with sudden changes when they hit me. It's not as if I'm not expecting them. But I now know better than to get stuck in rigid thoughts/expectations/situations.

the survival tips link is very interesting.

Im not experiencing and exact opp to natal pluto in virgo (conj natal uranus)

however I am having problems sleeping and can relate to the hormonal problems.

I feel that this retrograde of uranus back into pisces is making me revalue my working life(natal pluto/uranus in 10th) but also some of my friendships which at quite a deep level Im just not happy with.

Im someone who deliberates over everything. uranus is definitely something 'kicks you in the b**t!!!" no pun intended.

Yeah you've already lost the stable structures, are hanging loose and flexible, and your Uranus opp. Pluto doesn't really kick in until October. The effects will be on the 1st/7th house axis so changes within yourself or relationship, you seem ready to go with whatever comes up.

Mine is in the 3rd/9th house axis -the travel houses- which is what has me a bit concerned, because I don't see how it could smash 'philosophy religion higher and lower education', etc. I guess I'll find out (gulp!)

Uranus is transiting my 3rd house so that has me a little concerned even with driving around here.

Why? If you have a Day Chart your Sect Ruler is the transiting Sun in Virgo, so what's the problem? Unless transiting Uranus in the 3rd will square your natal Sun in the 7th House, it shouldn't be problem.

If the Moon is your Sect Ruler I'd be inclined to stay off the road a few hours while the Moon transited the 7th House, but other than that, it's no big deal.

I love Uranus opposition Pluto (and Pluto opposition Uranus). Lots of dead bodies pop up. It's great way to find MIAs from the various wars, as well as dead people who are missing.

Did you hit-skip a pedestrian? That might come back to haunt you if you did, but if you didn't then you can look at something in the past related to 3rd House things, like your siblings, your cousins, nephews, nieces, someone in your old neighborhood, someone you went to elementary school with might pop up.

You'd be surprised how people in their youth (especially at university) might write something nasty and then later on in life their political, religious, social or personal views change drastically, and miraculously, a written diatribe comes back from the past and gets thrown in their face. You see that a lot with politicians, especially in the US at senate confirmation hearings for cabinet positions and supreme court nominees. Maybe in the past they had a stance on abortion or free speech and that has since changed radically, but that doesn't stop people from digging up an old term paper or thesis and posting it all over the internet to embarrass them.

If you're dragging old luggage around, now is a really good time to throw it under the bus or over the side of the boat. You don't need it anymore and hanging on to it will only cause problems.

So essentially a few skeletons in the cupboard!

Funnily enough I just began an overhaul of my paperwork / filing today. I've let it slip to the extent that I had 15 months worth of credit card slips unreconciled! I do check the bill every month for any obvious anomalies but have got slack on reconciling. It actually seems pointless to bother as I couldn't complain if I wanted but my saturn-mercury square wanted to know it was done.

So now I'm looking at all my old statements and utility bills and wondering whether I really need to keep the ones dating back to 1995 when I first moved into my house changed bank. And whether I need the credit card / phone bills from 2003 ...

Whatever I decide it's part of my fresh start ... getting rid of stuff that I've been keeping around too long ...

having said all of that its hard to fathom how so many transits sit together, I mean I’ve just gone through a Pluto opposition Venus transit and apart (opp.) from a much higher (Plu.) appreciation of music (ven.) I felt nothing, absolutely nothing at all that is remotely Pluto venusy to speak off (opp., right?).

Earlier in the thread posters mentioned that you have to the two planets in aspect in your natal chart. That said, while I didn't have any obvious effect from pluto to venus when they trined, I did get a transform when it touched moon/sun which are part of my Leo stellium ...

Not quite a dead body ... but as I said in my earlier post I'm having a big clearout of my old paperwork ...

... and in the process I've just discovered a cheque for a reasonable sum of money that my mother gave me last September. I didn't realise I hadn't cashed it. It's part of an 'early' inheritance from my grandmother who is still living, but by giving out some of her money now it will legally avoid being chewed up by nursing home fees and taxes.

Added to that the whole reason I began this clearup was to find out some info for my tax return that needs to be done by end of Sept so that I can get some money back off the taxman that I know they owe me. Although I've known about that for a while now (possibly dating back to when Jupiter was opp pluto in March.

So in the world of pluto/8th houses - other people's money/inheritances this all seems a fairly typical symbolism of Uranus opp Pluto and Jupiter opp Pluto which is also due very soon.

Hello, I am going through this transit and there is no natal aspect between these planets. Pluto is the chart ruler near cusp of h11 and Uranus rules h4 in h11.

I feel this transit very much. My day to day life bores me, bored of myself, groups of friends, want to move country, am totally itching on my many fronts.

I had a great reading last week and the astrologer said woaw you have a lot of activation now and for the coming year (t Sat on Pluto, P Moon will cj n Pluto, t Pluto will square Moon and opp Venus, Sun later followed by l Uranus opp in a few years). She pointed at this transit too and said it demanded a BIG change, big time but due to a prominent Neptune, she emphasied how much I need to be practical in implementing changes, think them through, plan ahead, know the how's and why's and make sure it's not an illusion but that I really want the changes (in a nutshell). This is spot on with what is happening to me, scared and excited to what lies ahead

That's the perfect description of what I'm struggling with ... boredom. Feeling blocked and delayed. Any time I get a glimmer of hope that something will happen or come to fruition, somehow it mysteriously turns out not to.

Oh well, perhaps in a couple of weeks when this transit has become exact and begun to separate I'll begin to be able to move on.

In the meantime, today I have t-Uranus trine n-Jupiter and t-Jupiter trine n-Neptune; t-Neptune square n-Jupiter at the weekend; plus the new moon next week falls conjunct my mars return. Happy & excited times ... that are blocked and delayed!

Nothing significant happened in my first two waves of this transit (thankfully -sometimes no news is good news) but my third wave of this one starts this week and that may be where it really has its effect. Third time's a charm! I am working to expand my career, about to go on two tv shows, participate in an expo, looking for additional part-time work too, so big changes are afoot. I think it helps alot if one is aware of the Plutonian energy and can consciously guide it. The unpredictability of Uranus has me a little on edge though. Being of aware of outmoded things in your life and not clinging to them will probably make any "sudden" changes easier.

I noticed I have this coming up next week (again in Sep and finally Feb 2011).

Being slow-moving generational planets, I didn't actually expect it to be much of a transit but then I read this article:

http://www.thirdage.com/today/horoscopes/another-early-40s-life-transition-uranus-opposition-pluto

That sounds a bit more interesting ... Uranus opposition Pluto can be scary, and it is usually quite stressful. I actually thought I was going to physically die during mine.

This transit has happened recently to anyone with Pluto in Virgo. Anyone got experiences to recount?
Bearing in mind these are both outer planets and all in your generation would have it but in different houses. However if you natal chart does not have a strong connection with these planets, not much effect. If they do, then there will be major events according to your chart.

Didn't notice this post by Spicadilly ... but this one also resonates strongly with me ...

My Pluto is in 5th house and rules my 7th ... I've definitely spent the past couple of months looking at my past relationships. The conclusion that I've come to is that I need to exert my personal power more often, too laid back and humble for my own good. It's not that I don't want to do this ... it just the scares the hell out of me ... !

I thought this change was the result of last year's Neptune transits (which natally resides in the 7th house and causes me difficult in close relationships); and the two are probably connected.

As someone said elsewhere ... restlessness is a sign that Uranus is doing its work ... it is ... I didn't really expect this to be a major transit because it is generational but it does seem to be in the process of making a difference.

Oh and just as an offside, I'm surprised that this thread hasn't had more interest............ considering its a huge transit which will affect many forum members.

My Uranus opposition Pluto has already started since they're within a 5 degree orb of opposition with Uranus currently at 28 Degrees Pisces(6th House) and my natal Pluto at 2 Degrees 58 Minutes Libra(1st House).

When the exact opposition occurs, Uranus will also be conjunct my Vertex, Venus and Sun in Aries(7th House) while sextiling Mars and Jupiter in Aquarius(5th House), trining my Neptune in Sagittarius(3rd House) and squaring my Midheaven in Cancer(10th House).

I got a feeling something good will come out of it.

A friend reminded me that being in the middle of the volcanic ash last April was a good manifestation of this transit. I felt like doh of course!

This is the last pass for me now and having a couple of paid readings helped descifer what I need to do. I need a new life, a new me no joking! I started to stop smoking and want to spend more time in London with a job there, do artie stuff, meet different people and feel energise by it. I feel clearer now and convinced a new me needs to emerge and be better and truer than before. This is coupled with the P Sun changing sign in the summer, a turning point is coming.

Deperez, maybe something good and transforming in your relationships?

Inside, I get Pluto in the 6th for you with Placidus, which system are you using.

I came across this thread and felt the need to resurrect it. Today I have this transit - Transit Uranus opposition Pluto - exact. For the last 6 months I have had a restless feeling, bored with every thing in fact ... now I know. Uranus is in my first house (natal) ... I am looking forward to some change ! I am in a rut right now ...

I know it’s an old post but has anybody had any experience with tr Uranus in Aries opposing natal Pluto in Libra?

If so, what happened in your life and which house were involved?
