IMO all too often words are apparently insufficient/inadequate to convey complex meaning, whereas fortunately Music/Songs are a wonderful way of simply and briefly communicating sometimes perhaps very intricate meaning

The inspiration for this thread is viewable at http://www.astrologyweekly.com/forum/showthread.php?t=53341 on which it is apparent some seem unfamiliar with the notion of 'The Wheel of Karma" so I thought I would open a musical theme thread on which we may all post songs on that note, as well as on closely related themes. It is frequently stated that 'karma'/'action'/'karmas'/'actions' are comparable to the 'action'/'actions' of 'a wheel'/'many wheels' that are continuously turning.

'The Wheel of Karma' is also known as 'The Wheel of Rebirth' and so songs related to the idea of re-incarnation are on topic for this thread.
'The Wheel of Karma' is far more familiar to many as 'The Wheel of Fortune' so songs related to the idea of “The Wheel of Fortune” are also on topic for this thread. IMO God, Spirit and Soul are all linked to the notion of 'karma'/'action'/'karmas'/'actions'

“Watching the Wheels” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qp9dc9im3-M&feature=related is a song composed and sung by John Lennon that illustrates the eastern concept of 'karma'/'karmas'/'action'/'actions'

interesting jupiterasc thank you

The song also points to not being caught up in Karma as well (no longer on the merry go round, watching the wheels go round and round)...

Also fwiw IMO... the intention of 'not being caught up in Karma' nevertheless indicates 'an intention to work out one's Karma in a detached way' ...i.e. 'watching the wheels go round and round'... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AIB2nkUfeWw&feature=related

95 word extract from notes accompany song “Living On Borrowed Time” by John Lennon http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TBLLIGzMjZI&feature=related

QUOTE:
“During 1980 sailing holiday Newport, Rhode Island/Bermuda a severe storm lasted hours. Crew being seasick/fatigued necessitated John taking wheel of yacht alone for hours. Terrifying experience renewed his respect for the fragility of life yet invigorated him

His recovery from heroin addiction years before had left him immune to seasickness, which paid off here. In Bermuda, he heard the line 'living on borrowed time' from Bob Marley's "Hallelujah Time" ... recalling his recent near death experience John wrote lyrics on that theme. The reggae feel of the song is inspired by Bob Marley”

No one ever said that "Chris de Burgh" was the best singer, or that he produced the best music as a folk singer, but in one thing he is equal to the ancient minstrels like Homer, there is always a story in the music, and this is an ancient story, there is now evidence that Troy existed:-

Hi JupiterAsc, i thought the ballad below would interest you by Chris de Burgh called "Crusader"! It shows the ancient skill of the minstrels!
