Are you sheltering in place?

In quarantine?

Sick or know someone who is? (Hopefully not.)

Going out and living your normal life?

Has it affected you financially?

Do you see some astrology in this?

Due to my normal lifestyle, I pretty much shelter myself already. However, I am going to see my "boyfriend" on Friday, and a part of me feels that I shouldn't to avoid spreading the virus. There's also the potential that he could cancel due to how stressful things have been for him. It's really disappointing because he canceled last Friday.

I've heard that people can spread the virus without realizing it because some don't display any symptoms.

My dad's friend's wife is sick with the virus. She just barely got back from a trip.

My mom's business has been struggling a bit due to people deliberately not coming to avoid spreading the disease. I haven't been able to go to my job since all restaurants have been closed in my area. And due to all the sheeple hoarding toilet paper, I haven't been able to get any freaking toilet paper myself. Thankfully, I still had some rolls stored at my dorm. Oh yeah, classes have been moved online for me, and I've been forced to move back home.

The Jupiter, saturn, pluto conjunction is obviously tied to the coronavirus, but I think there's going to be a lot of other stuff that takes place. At the end of March Jupiter will conjunct Pluto exactly and that will signal something crazy; I'm sure. Not to mention, Saturn is moving into Aquarius for a bit, and then retrograde back into Caricorn.

I live in Utah and we just experienced an earthquake this morning. It was totally unexpected and shocking, and of course just what we needed with the virus going around. That could possibly be explained with Mars currently conjunct Jupiter. Not to mention, I got in a car crash two weeks earlier due to these stellium of planets in my first house.

Hi Waybread,
I am suffering from a bad flu bug but thankfully isn't Corona, however i am in Quarintine because i live in an extra care flat in a complex, i don't want to give it to other older people who live here.
As you know i have a broken spinal cord with complications so have no wish to catch the virus.
My complex now doesn't allow close family to visit me, and i'm not allowed out except for hospital appointments, but i try to be positive as we all are in the same boat, i worry about my mother who is 93, who is getting depressed as she can not visit me.
I'm well looked after, so things are not as bad as some other older people!
I wonder how many people will die regarding this awful virus?

Living in the UK and 29 weeks pregnant, so very anxious at the moment. I am self-isolating with my husband and daughter. We live 60 miles north of London, so hopefully are shielded from the bulk of the pandemic. Husband is working from home indefinitely. I am very nervous to give birth in a hospital in June. Haven't looked to astrology because I don't want to worry myself further. Whatever will be, will be.

Saturn/Pluto/Jupiter conjunction is currently in my 12th house, which I don't like. Hence why I want to just stay ignorant to it all. Same conjunction is conjunct my husband's MC. He works for a company that specialises in virtual meeting software, etc. Interesting how this transit is affecting some people differently. My thoughts are with everyone during this time and I am finding it to be a really anxiety ridden time because of all of the unknowns.

Not having stated how you yourself are affected by the pandemic
and assuming your residency in snowy icy Canadian realms
i.e. "The Rockies" as you have mentioned in the past
already to some extent "isolates aka quarantines you"
the impact is probably less on you personally
in contrast
those living in cities
particularly the larger cities
such as Paris, New York, London, Rome
are greatly affected
the fact is
unless one is resident on a small farm of some kind
clearly food supplies are likely to be impacted"
as shops stocks decrease due to worldwide "panic buying

Pretty much staying home except going on daily hikes. Trails have more people. Being winter here, no one is usually hiking. Going to the grocery store at 7 am and notice a total lack of people on the roads going to work. I've decided to learn a new skill and learn to speak Spanish.

For a year my son has been begging his employer to let him work from home. This crisis is giving him the opportunity to prove himself and hopeful make it permanent. His doctor has given him a medical note saying he's high risk and needs to stay home. Until he gets everything set-up to work at home, he's still going into work. If I'm reading his horary right, he will not come down with the virus.

No one I know knows of anyone with the virus.

Home!

In quarantine?
Finished it two weeks ago, I had contact with one of the first cases, but I was negative. Luckily.

Sick or know someone who is? (Hopefully not.)

Not me, but yes, unfortunately.

Going out and living your normal life?

Not permitted, I need a certificate to go to the town for food shopping or to the pharmacy. Everything is closed down. If you are just going outside your own town without a reason you are fined. Finished Spring cleaning early this year!

Has it affected you financially?

Not at all.

Do you see some astrology in this?

Yes, Lots.

I am in Italy, you probably have heard we are heavily hit. One problem is that people without symptoms have been moving around, and bringing it to relatively isolated areas. A lot of people ran from Milan when the first lockdown was announced, estimated 2,000 alone went to Puglia, where there were no cases. Example. One woman from Milan who has a summer home in my area came here, stopped off at the cafe for a coffee before going to her house, and she is positive Thank you very much, we are so glad you feel safer coming here, but now we have other cases thanks to you! Apparently there are more fines for people violating the lockdown than there are positive cases.

Some random comments....

"people can spread the virus without realizing it because some don't display any symptoms."

When you are positive, the symptoms don't show up for two weeks.

"people deliberately not coming to avoid spreading the disease.... all restaurants have been closed in my area"

Very wise precautions.

"all the sheeple hoarding toilet paper,"

Jupiter of excesses conjunction Pluto of excretion....

"classes have been moved online for me"

Jupiter of learning being transformed by conjunction with Pluto.

"don't want to give it to other older people who live here."

Very humane and correct.

"i worry about my mother who is 93, who is getting depressed as she can not visit me."

I love this, mother's love knows no quarantine!

"how many people will die regarding this awful virus?"

Too many, too suddenly.

"suffering from a bad flu bug "

Take care, Monk, and precautions, this makes you very vulnerable.

"Living in the UK and 29 weeks pregnant, so very anxious at the moment."

This is normally a period when a woman feels vulnerable. They say newborns are immune, so wishing you well.

"I am self-isolating with my husband and daughter....Saturn/Pluto/Jupiter conjunction is currently in my 12th house, which I don't like. Hence why I want to just stay ignorant to it all."

Self fulfilling 12th house energy!

"We live 60 miles north of London, so hopefully are shielded from the bulk of the pandemic."

Don't count on it, this is nothing for the virus. You only need to come in contact with ONE case! Wash your hands often and well, use disposable gloves and mask when you go out in public. Depending on where you live, take your outside shoes off before you enter the house. The virus lasts on surfaces for days.

"I am finding it to be a really anxiety ridden time because of all of the unknowns."

Listen to relaxing music, don't watch the news, keep busy, you owe this to the little one inside who doesn't want to be anxiety ridden! Keep in the forefront of your mind your quote from Anais Nin!

JupiterSac, virus thrives in cold and dry environments (i.e. Capricorn). When the warm weather comes, and perhaps April showers, we should see a lessening up.

"to learn a new skill and learn to speak Spanish."

Jupiter of learning on Saturn of discipline.

"begging his employer to let him work from home."

Saturn of work in Capricorn being transformed by Pluto conjunction.

"National parks to waive entry fees during coronavirus pandemic"

Actually, they should close.

Stay well everyone, thanks to all for their input, and thanks to waybread for starting the thread.

In regards to the National parks, "the outdoor spaces in the parks will be open to visitors, though many of the parks’ facilities will be closed." They also recommend keeping 6ft from other people and wash your hands. Of course some worry there will be large crowds at the parks.

In fact. With everything else closed, people go where they can. And won't really keep the distances.
Plus, if someone sneezes, it remains in the air for hours, so you may pass through without even knowing someone before you had polluted the air you are breathing.
Here they have even closed park areas in the cities where people walk their dogs or jog.

My husband and I are self quarantined in our cottage.

Our daughter has been helpful and done some of our shopping for us, leaving our groceries on the front porch. I have bad asthma and so I need to stay isolated if possible. :bandit:

The Capricorn conjunctions are in ny 8th house, so I know I need to be serious about these transits. :ninja:

I miss seeing my little grand daughter. But her other grandmother is in the hospital receiving chemo treatments for cancer. So I am not going anywhere near my son or his wife, as his wife cannot bring any possibility of illness to her ailing mother. :crying:

It is such an intense and strange world, all of a sudden. :pouty:

We are trying to stay positive--although there is so much uncertainty.

ElenaJ: I can even imagine what it is like to live in Italy right now! People who go for walks around here (let's say in their neighborhood) are all reporting people will cross the street if another is coming towards them. Did not hear about the virus staying in the air for hours. sheeze Staying on surfaces for a long period of time, yes.

"Viruses are difficult to live in the air. Viruses are weak in the light, especially, UV rays kill it. For this reason, it is extremely unlikely that the virus will spread in general space or outdoors solely through the air."

Here is one, but there are many:
As the coronavirus outbreak continues to accelerate in the U.S., cleaning supplies are disappearing off the shelves and people are worried about every subway rail, kitchen counter and toilet seat they touch.

But how long can the new coronavirus linger on surfaces, anyway? The short answer is, we don't know. A new analysis found that the virus can remain viable in the air for up to 3 hours, on copper for up to 4 hours, on cardboard up to 24 hours and on plastic and stainless steel up to 72 hours. This study was originally published in the preprint database medRxiv on March 11, and now a revised version was published March 17 in The New England Journal of Medicine.

Thanks to everyone who responded. To those of you who are shut-in by health or living in the midst of a government imposed lock down, I hope that a lively set of discussions on this forum can help make life a little more stimulating.

Being shut-in is probably a 12th house phenomenon.

My situation is that I live in a rural area. My PO box is for a small unincorporated community. The nearest town has about 5,000 people, with more like 15,000 in the valley as a whole. It's about 1.5 hours drive either east or west to a bigger town, and then one of them requires a journey over a high mountain pass, which can close in the event of a heavy snowstorm. We're not so far from the US border to the south, but this border is soon to close to all non-essential traffic. Not much north of us for a very long distance.

No COVID-19 cases in our community so far, although I doubt that we'll be spared. It would take only one infected person from another area passing through or returning home, to set up a chain reaction.

We are something of a retirement community, and the elderly are a high-risk population. We have one small local hospital and doctors who are mostly in family practice with ER qualifications. Anyone who was seriously sick (and not in hospice) would probably be airlifted to a bigger medical center. So while isolation probably offers short-term protection, we don't have the medical support services of a city.

When this is feasible, local doctors are now consulting with patients by phone, vs. office visits. As precautions, a lot of social gathering places like the library and senior center have closed.

Yes, the Great Toilet Paper Shortage of 2020 has hit our 2 supermarkets, as well. Along with shortages of flour. (People bake here.) While there is an active local food movement here, I heard from a local farmer/market grower the other day. (I'm on her customer list.) She expressed frustration that she's getting a lot of calls now for their eggs and meat. Which is good for her business in a way, but it shouldn't take a national emergency for people to consider buying natural locally grown products.

So in one way, if you're in a rural area with a local food culture and gardening capability that's good. On the other hand, a lot of goods are trucked in from afar, and they can't bring in goods that are unavailable at the urban distributors'.

Rural people are not disconnected from the greater society. My son and family live in the US. They are keeping their little son home from preschool, which is playing havoc with their work-from-home arrangements, as demanding work must still be done, regardless of a toddler underfoot. Normally I would offer to babysit but the US/Canada border is closing to all non-essential travel, and I probably stand some risk of picking up the virus and transmitting it. (My son is an asthma sufferer.)

I don't know what is the astrological explanation. My sense is that it has to do with Saturn and Pluto's long sojourn in Capricorn, but in and of itself, that doesn't seem like an adequate explanation.

Anybody?

Please stay well, everyone.

Here is the event chart for the virus. It is the exact time that WHO, the World Health Organization, announced the existence of the virus and pout forth a warning.

https://www.astrologyweekly.com/forum/showthread.php?t=131867

It is a fascinating chart. Five planets in Cap, in the 10th, with Jupiter right on top of the MC.

I think Jupiter is very important in this pandemic. I believe it was the combination of the Saturn/Pluto conjunctions, AND the Jupiter/Pluto conjunctions AND the Jupiter/Saturn conjunctions that ushered in this global crisis. :bandit:

I think extroverts are being affected quite badly by all of this. One of my best friends is a huge extrovert (Aries sun, Leo moon combo type) and she has become very withdrawn, quiet and anxious. She is not dealing with this well and I wish I could do something to help her but I'm 3,500 miles away. We are in a group chat with my other friend who is also a Pisces Sun and we both seem ok and are coping in our own way. We both agreed not to share any news on the chat anymore and just send it individually because we don't want to upset our other friend anymore. So we just send funny memes now to try and lighten things up.
