My poor venus?

I´m trying to understand myself, life, astrology here. Venus is my chart ruler, and now it looks like she`ll have to go to work:crying:

In a month t.saturn will be inconjunct my venus and as this lasts, next summer t. jupiter will be semisextile venus.

The inconjunct is something about making two different energies work out but it will not come easy. Right? Interesting I read in the book "saturn in transit-boundaries of mind, body, and soul " about saturn-venus transits in general. According to the book it´s not at all a bad thing; "saturn venus contacts will activate one´s awareness of instinctive animal needs". Or "stimulate a longing for times of sensual and pastoral tranquillity" etc. I liked that book. So an inconjunct between these two could meen focus on a relationship, dealing with many deep issues of who we are in the relationship, bringing up difficulties. Fertility issues, and the need to be primal versus morality? Something like "the beauty and the beast"?

First my venus was all shooked up by t. pluto trine in the beginning of 2008.

Jupiter was trine my venus in 2008, next summer it will be semisextile and then in 2011 conjunct. What do you say, I´ve read that semisextile is not an all- easy transit?

For me these things are important because due to the outer planet´s movement the mentioned transits will last quite a while. Second, to my personal planets there are no big transits coming up (except a dreadful neptune square).

As I have kept a record, transits from fast moving planets hardly affect me at all. Sometimes a mars transit can do something if combined with another transit.

Anyone have any experiences to tell about t. inconjuncts or semisextiles?

Hi Gwennyhfair, when planets are linked together by a quincunx (and also when linked by a semi-sextile) because both are based on the number 12th, the quincunx being equal to 5/12th of the circle of 360°, there is the potential to realize some kind of ideal through a combination of aspirations (3) and effort (4). 3x4 =12. and thus you have the chance to make deliberate and conscious progress of self-awareness and personal growth. It is actually a very creative aspect when it is properly handled.

Because the quincunx is 5/12th of the circle, this aspect puts an extra emphasis on the role of conscious awareness ,(5th house, 5th sign, Leo, the Sun).
This aspect does two things, it excites you into doing something which you love to do (3) but at the same time it also demands effort from us (4). So it is therefore very possible that the energies work against each other: fun opposed to work and also you get the idea that one time you do this, the other time you do that which keeps you constantly on tenderhooks, nervous.

Because the inconjunct is related also from an other point of view to the 6th and 8th houses (because the natural ascendant cusp is 150° away from these two house cusps), you often see that people with inconjuncts have a tendency to get ill (6th house)because of psychological stress (8th house).

So if you now get that Saturn making an inconjunct to your Venus, then that could create some subconscious stress related to everything Venus represents and also to the houses which Venus rules.

I´ve read that semisextile is not an all- easy transit?
The semi-sextile you will get from tr.Jupiter to Venus can give the same sort of restlessness as it is also an aspect which relates to 12. (3x4).

I dont know which houses Venus rules, but that house will be the focus of either great creativity or restlessness. If Venus should rule the Asc. the inconjunct from Saturn could cause some health problems as the Asc. represents the physical body.

Thank you so much starlink!

Now I see! I have planned a project for myself. It is demanding but yet what I most love to do and always dreamed of (a house of my own). I am looking forward to a very creative process and time. That my life has not been lately. I can already feel the transit, if it's as you say. Cause something forces me to do something I love yet it won't come easy.

And what I fear will bring stress is a relationship. Venus does rule my seventh house. I 'm prepared to give my all, I know this project requires effort and I'm willing to do so. It's a project about MY home and a relationship that is not easy, yet I know we are ment to be.

Could it be the home issue is represented by t. saturn being in opposition to my fourth house? My fourth house is empty but, hey all these planets in virgo lately must have stirred up the whole thing, that I decided to get a new home.
Love

Basically, need to see the chart for proper evaluation here as we are all visual..

In a month t.saturn will be inconjunct my venus and as this lasts, next summer t. jupiter will be semisextile venus
I have Saturn - venus quincunx natally and that venus can be very very giving, but somehow men, father or authority don't always quite understand what brings you pleasure (venus) and as with all saturn venus aspects -- saturn wants to test and re evaluate romance, finances and self worth..

Saturn is the Lord of Karma and master teacher, but really he's trying to teach us about ourselves. It wants us to be responsible, hard working, dutiful and learn our Lessons properly, so they won't have to keep being repeated. Therefore, is usually suggests things slowing down, delays, limitations and restrictions so we can learn these Lessons.

What Saturn does is 'test' what is of value to you and what is working in your life. It wants structure and hard work. If something isn't working--- it may well end--- so something better can be put in it's place.

The semi sextile aspect will be negliable as it's a 'minor aspect' inanyevent.

First my venus was all shooked up by t. pluto trine in the beginning of 2008.
That should have been something easy and falling into place, depending of course of the condition of natal venus.

Transits are not all that noticeable and hard, it all depends on the condition of the natal planet as to whether you have a good or bad time with it. Plus you need to take into consideration secondary progressions for a fuller picture to.

Your natal chart is like a photograph as unique as your fingerprint, BUT the 10planets in the sky have not stayed where they were in your natal chart, they have all moved. Predictive astrology is mostly maths where those 10planets are now and the mathematical aspects they make to your natal charts ie: 180'=opposition, 90'=square, 60'=sextile and 120'=trine.

So your personality, grows, develops, changes, matures as we get older, this is reflected by your sun sign changing from it's natal position to the next sign along, so does your Asc and MC sign change. In fact from sun to mars espec are important, as the outer planets really don't move much, using a 'day for a year' secondary progressions.

The reason I feel confused about the inconjunct transit is a) I do not have any other transits to natal planets in nov & dec (this IS true, a professional astrologer pointed this out to me) and b) I have been single for many years. As A50 says "(Saturn) usually suggests things slowing down, delays, limitations and restrictions so we can learn these Lessons."

Venus is my 7house ruler and the planet of love and relationship. MORE bad news on this sector, karma? :pinched: The love life of mine has been nothing but slowing down, learning lessons, bad karma for the past six years or so. Even w/o saturn transiting my chart ruler venus. In these years the only time I had a relationship was actually when the pluto tri venus transit was exact. And it was indeed a very plutonian affair.

Progressions are difficult to me. Tried to learn every once in a while but...

So which house is venus in? it's bit like having a 2nd venus in 7th house though---
Regarding transits for nov & dec--- you will have some inner/fast moving transits

astro.com has fee six month transit forecast plus when you get into Extended chart selection, look at the three tabs after calculating a chart under ‘method’ default is circular wheels (on left), middle is special charts and in their you get graphic ephemeris 1yr (or 5years) with natal = transits for 1yr and lots more. BUT you first must learn or memorise the 'glyphs' ie: shorthand for recognising what these maps/graphics mean.

For example when you post or reply to a chart the 'smilies' to the right and just under them [more] if you click on there it will bring up a whole loads of 'glyphs' :mercury:Mercury :uranus:Uranus :conjunct:conjunction (+or - 8') :trine:trine aspect 120' :libra: Libra

Venus in 7th House feels a great need for a committed relationship in order to bring love into his life. With this placement there is frequently a marked lack of self-love: self-worth comes from being in a partnership. Venus in its own House is usually faithful and anxious to fulfill the partners expectations but the eagerness to get into a relationship may make a person indiscriminate in his choice and too willing to expect the formal trappings of marriage to be a substitute for true compatibility. In all relationships Venus places too much faith in the superficial indications of suitability.
