Wow Neptune in 4th too, me also, you weren’t joking when you said your family was dysfunctional.

All these placements have given you psychic ability too but Neptune in 4th can cause you to need to drink or smoke your prohlems away, which puts up a barrier to your psychic ability.

Thank you for talking about this too it’s just what I needed also :)

It’s weird, both my mom and dad were really selfish and basically brainwashed my brothers and I into believing that we had no one in the world to count on and that they didn’t really have any responsibility to us. Basically so that there wouldn’t be any expectation of them sharing their resources with us. I didn’t even realize this was weird until I became an adult and saw how supportive other families were. Now that I have kids of my own,I can’t imagine just tossing them out in the world and telling them to fend for themselves just so I could keep what I have to myself. So weird. And yes, I do have the Neptunian weaknesses. I’m proud of myself that I don’t drink anymore, that was huge.

One of my brothers ended up homeless with a heroin addiction. He is a genius though and figured out how to go to university and is now the head of the engineering department at a state college. He’s a very sweet person, but has cut off all family contact for like 2 decades and I totally support that choice. I think the problem is largely on my mother’s side: her father was another brilliant engineer who helped build the Kennedy space center in Florida but he had serious mental health issues, and raised his family in the most ****** up way.

Yeah, i don’t have children yet but I just can’t imagine being as ruthless to me as what my dad was. I don’t know your parents backstory, but my dad lost his wife (my mum) to cancer and it seems all he cares about is seeing himself as this golden boy he was thought of as growing up. It’s pathetic and cruel but also really sad I think that fear can cause you to become so cruel to someone that needs you.

Dysfunctional people just continuing the cycle. I see it everywhere now and I keep my circle very small because most people are ultimately being selfish and will therefore not understand they are trying to drag me down to the same mindless thinking.

I actually started socialising and drinking again after a 3 year hiatus when I isolated myself from most people. Met up with some old friends and also immediately this guy was putting a lot of pressure on me to be with him and even last night asking me to go for a drink with him even though I said no like 5x’s. The Neptunian in me still want to help people but they don’t understand or want to see and he didn’t want to be my friend when I told him I didn’t want a relationship ‘because he likes me too much.’ It’s all selfish bs based on fear, but I recognised it and put a stop to it...and today, I am talking with you about this, as id to set me on the right path again.

You were meant to talk about this and us both questioning our pain has led us to help each other, how amazing is the universe. As soon as you start questioning your own pain, it brought you to me.

I know you’re scientific but the universe is screaming at you to become a sort of advisor to people.

It’s funny your family has connections to the Kennedy’s in terms of Capitalism - the whole structure of society is poisoned and connected to everything. The Kennedy’s being another family full of dysfunction themselves, and their success just attracts more dysfunction to it.

Eugh, the world is sick.

Does your brother talk to you or was it easier to just cut off ties altogether? I also understand wanting to cut off ties, it’s each to their own in the sense that you wish them well but too much damage has been done. It’s sad really but I’m the same.

My sister was eating me alive with her narcissism, a carbon copy of my dad. But I know, she will return one day and I will have to finish some karma with her. But that’s because I have Chiron in Gemini and gemini is associated with siblings.

Where is your Chiron?

My Chiron is in Taurus in the 9th house, trining my ascendant and sextiling my Jupiter and mars. Thank you again for the encouragement, I absolutely love being there without judgement for people. I feel like everyone has this divine self you can see shinning through and we all just need to be seen in that way.

And my brother cut us all off. It has been really painful for me because the two of us were like twins, but I really do understand it. He needs to never be reminded in any way of anything that happened (his childhod was far worse than mine)

At least you understand his boundaries. Have a hug :)

which house does this conjunction occupy in your chart.
i have read that when moon and venus are conjunct, moon takes over venus and depending on the house this conjunction lies in, moon forces venus to act as a side kick. in such conditions the house that moon and venus rule also contribute or effect the factors that shape the impact of this conjunction. so its not something you can read in isolation. you have to see the whole chart.
i would love to see your chart because i too have this conjunction. it is in my natal 4th house but not in leo and my house, family and personal life is ugly and messed up. there is no vanity anywhere to be found in areas related to this conjunction. so it would be interesting to look at your chart.

Yep, it is a lot more complex. To be fair, I have a problem with exaggerating my flaws, so I’m not sure I’m seeing myself clearly here, I don’t get negative feedback In this regard, but I’m really interested in exposing my own dark sides to myself so that I can bring them into the light and hopefully discard some unhelpful patterns. Anyway, I’ll post chart later but it is actually also easy to find on my other threads here. Thanks for replying and I’m interested in what you said about “Venus as sidekick” . That’s an interesting thought...

Btw this conjunction also includes Saturn and is in the 12thH

It’s an interesting discussion about which planet rules in a conjunction, I’ve been looking into it myself, although with the Venus-Mars conjunction.

I have so far learnt that it depends which planet is the strongest which will decide which will dominate and which will lead. For eg, with a Venus-Mars conjunction in Pisces, Venus would lead.

In your example, I think moon is comfortable in the 4th house since it is naturally ruled by Cancer, although I think 3rd house is actually better suited than the 4th house, although you would think it would be the 3rd. Sorry, I can’t remember the reason why.

But yeah, check which planet is strongest by sign and house placement and also look at the native’s personality and life dynamics for further clues, and the chart as a whole. I don’t say aspects because in a conjunction, they’re most likely equally affected by aspects.

WHEN TWO OR MORE PLANETS OCCUPY A HOUSE

The most powerful action on the house significations is from the house ruler
then, from the exaltation ruler
then from the planet with closest natural analogy with the house meanings.
