The skies

Hello,

As most are already aware, Uranus and Pluto are still fighting it out in the skies between themselves. These are times for big-time reforms, be they Obama's health-care reforms in the US, or reforms on the save-the-Euro front in Europe. Nothing has yet been finally decided, and the Ura-Plu struggle will go on for quite some time due to Ura's forthcoming retrogradation, and then again its forward motion.

It will do well to be that extra bit cautious in all activities that involve especially physical activity and travel, with Mars joining into the Plu-Ura conflict between the 12th to 26th of July. This is certainly not a time to try out bungee jumping, as this can be a highly explosive mix of planets. Be careful also not to make a mountain of a molehill on the personal front (see the natal houses these planets are transiting in your chart to see which area of life could be activated), or a small argument can turn into a full-blown confrontation. Caution, especially starting middle of July into August, would do very well with Mercury turning retrograde (rx), a time when misunderstandings are pre-programmed.

When Mer is rx, it is better not to sign contracts of major importance, or else at least to read the fine print twice. Travel delays and sudden cancellations or change of plans may occur. It is also better to avoid 'starting' driving lessons during this time (you could continue with them though if started before the rx period). With Uranus also going rx as of July 13th, it is best not to purchase expensive electrical/electronic devices during this time.

On the upside, Jupiter sextiles Uranus, which should bring in some sudden bouts of optimism in situations that seemed hopeless, and maybe give them a sudden turnaround for the better.

Hi,

As we still struggle to maintain some equilibrium under the (retrograde) Ura-Plu square, trying to hold onto what we can, the Saturn-Mars conjunction will set in as of 7th Aug until about 25th Aug. This will heighten the potential for conflicts and short-fuse reactions immensely, so be wary of blocked aggression erupting like a volcano especially around the middle of Aug, which might make one do things that one might later regret. On a macro level, the Euro might face another major dip (Sat) losing its power (Mars). Matters in Syria might take a more difficult and threatening turn.

Luckily, until about Aug 20th, grace is bestowed upon us by the Ura-Jup sextile, which might bring unexpectedly (Ura) reasons for optimism (Jup) and things might take a good turn.

Hi,

As of August 7, Mercury, the planet of contracts and communication is in forward motion again. It will pick up real momentum as of Aug 12, so we are now free to sign any important contracts, plan overseas travel, etc.

Jupiter (good fortune and optimism) is in sextile to Vesta (asteroid of depth and dedication) the whole of Aug. So, August is a good month to take up projects in hand, like applying for jobs, completing your dissertation, etc. Jupiter should certainly guide and provide a certain amount of ease.

Add Vesta in your chart at astro.com to see which house it falls into. The matters of that house are worth attending to in this month.

Re: The skies in Spetember 2012

Hello,

Around September 17th/18th, the Pluto-Uranus square will be exact once again this year. An aspect between these two powerful planets may mean, in general, revolution (Uranus) and re-form (Pluto). Even if the culmination of revolution, and the product of reformation itself might not shape out in the near future, the square may have, or may set the ball rolling in these days.
With Uranus in Aries and Pluto in Capricorn, the process can be said to involve sudden/impulsive/agressive (Aries) energies on the one hand, and resisting/of the past/involving governments/social and political structures (Cap) on the other. For e.g., the Syrian war might once again intensify. There might even be intervention of other countries/from outside (Uranus). The Euro crisis might also be in the public mouth again for obvious reasons. With Chiron (healing, also wounds) in Pisces (water), there could be severe weather conditions. On the 30th of Sept. there will be an Aries full Moon conjoining Uranus there. The Sun will be in the opposite sign of Libra and will form a t-square to Uranus and Pluto. Caution and a peaceful attitude will do good.

Starting 7th Sept. until about 18th Sept. Venus will form a trine to Uranus. On a microcosmic level (and with a personal planet involved), we can expect excitement in matters of the heart, a sudden desire to patch up things/ disturbed relationships/friendships (an excellent time to patch things up, so don't let ego/hesitation/fear of rejection get in the way)! Most certainly this aspect will help one to be more tolerant (Uranus) towards others (Venus). Ura-Ven is also a very creative aspect, especially for art and poetry. There could also be unexpected financial gains (even if only small ones).

The Jupiter-Mars quincunx from about 7th to the 24th of Sept. could, on the other hand, be quite energy-draining and obstructing in the things we just want to do (Mars), those big plans (Jup) we have. With a quincunx involved, we have to know that things will certainly not fall in our lap, so, if we are not ready to give it all it takes and make enough efforts, frustration can be the outcome. Another effect of a Jup-Mars constellation is the tendency to be very self-opinionated/ dogmatic/arrogant/too fearless, especially with those, who also have this constellation in their natal charts, and if it is being triggered. It is also, sometimes, an aspect of falls and accidents out of being too fearless and risk-loving. Once again, when Jup-Mars or Ura-Mars are involved, it is not the best of times to go bungee jumping or paragliding, especially if angular houses are involved in your own chart. If such hobbies can be called off for some time, please do so. Avoid doing things on sudden impulse/without forethought.

As of today, for about a week (till 6th/7th Sept), Mercury will start entering into a trine to Pluto. This can fortify our power (Pluto) of convincing (Mercury) others in that we communicate more in depth, and are also open to others' viewpoints. With Pluto and Mercury involved, we have the power now to get to the depth of our thoughts/mind/ things we have always wanted to know/ probe into things that have remained hidden from us, yes, ever certain secrets. Especially for authors/composers/psychologists, these are 'brilliant' days, in the literal sense of the word, in terms of intellectual depths/ to research 'new grounds', or for rhetoric brilliance (for writers and composers). And, with Mercury in forward motion, these are some of the best days to go ahead and start research work/ that mystery novel you always wanted to write, etc.

Best

Hi,

Beginning of Nov. until the 28th, Ceres trines with Saturn. Ceres is known to be the Goddess of Agriculture and crops. Also, second to the Moon, Ceres signifies motherhood. Hence, coupled with Saturn, it brings in assertiveness and a stable caring attitude. It teaches us not only to care for ourselves (selfless as a mother), but, just like mother earth that gives food for us all, to care for others, too. We can only do well and feel satisfied, if this is how the people around us feel. Ceres also teaches us to value all that we have been given, to nurture it and share it with others. Saturn, the Lord of time, teaches Ceres that we are the 'owners' of nothing in 'reality', only users of earthly goods for a given period of time. This constellation, through a caring and giving attitude, can brighten up November as winter sets in.

From the 14th to the 21st of Nov, the Sun, Mercury and the Lunar Node (North Node) conjoin together in Scorpio. This could ruffle up unpleasant issues, or perhaps even bring us some pleasant surprises. With Mercury being retrograde, something from the past might come to the forefront again and give the native a second chance to rectify things, or complete what had once been started. Look at where this conjunction falls housewise in your natal chart, and, where your natal Mer sits, and pay attention to those areas.

20th Nov triggers in a conjunction between Mars and Pluto, two powerful planets. This can have gunpowder potential, and calls for a LOT of calmness and good sense. Any feeling of impulsiveness or agitation should be curbed, or unplesantness could be the outcome. This combo is known for its high conflict potential triggered by a big ego trip and a propensity for going to extremes. Diplomacy and moderation should be written in BIG, BOLD letters. On the upside, the Mars-Pluto energy can be used for completing half-done tasks with determination and a strong will power now.

A conjunction between Lilith and Jupiter leads us into Dec, starting Nov 22nd. This first happened earlier on this year, in Taurus, and some of us were faced with unpleasant financial issues. This time, the conjunction repeats itself in Gemini, hence beware of challenges in the areas of communication, contracts and daily-commuting. If possible, with Mercury being retrograde until Nov 26th, it is best to avoid signing contracts, booking travels, possibly even going for a conjugal agreement (esp with both Mer and Jup being rx) during these days. If any contract should be signed, please read the fine print at least twice.

Thanks for the update! I'm particularly about Saturn's entry into Scorpio, as we know will be 2 years+ transit. TR Saturn will make the inconjunction aspect to Uranus in Aries very soon (Saturn at 4 degrees Scorpio, Uranus 5 degrees Aries). This inconjunction is the next stage in the Saturn/Uranus dance and as we know the aspect signifies having nothing in common, a need to make adjustment. Saturn is the faster moving planet and will cast to Uranus in Aries.

TR Saturn will also form a sextile to Pluto in Saturn's sign of Capricorn, Saturn again casting, with Pluto currently at 7 degrees.

The time difference between these two transits is quite short (Uranus 5 degrees, Pluto 7 degrees). Would I be right in thinking that Saturn reaching 6 degrees will be activating both at the same time? Saturn, Uranus and Pluto all in contact at the same time?

Hi

Byjove, you seem right about that. All the 3 planets will be in close contact with eachother. For inconjuncts though, some take a tight orb, and some do not even consider it at all.

Re Saturn in Scorpio, well, it is said to have a propensity for diseases, so it is best to stay medically alert.

Re: The February skies

Hi,

The Pluto-Saturn sextile continues into Feb. Some of us can feel some basic changes in life in the offing. Pluto will help break down old Saturnian structures that might hinder growth and progress in one's life. It will help get rid of old, die-hard habits, in other words, cleanse our lives in some transformational way. Look and see where these planets are placed in your natal chart, as well as the current house transits of these planets to get a closer understanding. With Saturn, one of the main areas could have to do with one's job and career, or issues that might be pending with govt. authorities in some way. Pluto will give the necessary will-power and staying power to see the changes through, and not back out in between. With the Lent season starting off Feb 13, those with addictive habits, or even issues of overweight, could use the power of these two planets to now give the addictions up.

Additionally, the Pluto-Mars sextile between 10th and 22nd Feb will give that further push into actually putting one's plans/aims into action. It is best to thus use this high-voltage energy into achieving one's aims, rather than investing it into some egoistical, destructive rows with others.

Saturn goes retrograde as of Feb 18th! Try not to move any important documents (esp having to do with constrution of house, etc, inheritance, etc) with the local authorities during this time, until absolutely necessary. If so, read through it very carefully, express your self and your objectives clearly, and, most certainly, do not get into any arguments or blame games with higher/govt. authorities, before it turns into a long legal issue. Be careful of not defying your boss (Sat) or ruffling his feathers the wrong way at work either.

Mercury goes retrograde February 23rd for around three weeks. Travels to be undertaken are best booked before that, so are contracts to be signed. Otherwise, please read the fine print at least twice, if signed during Mercury rx. However, this period is good for 'taking up' any travels that were called off in the past, or people one has been putting off contacting.

The Uranus-Jupiter sextile still has its protective hand over us in February. It may also bestow a sudden fortunate turn of events, esp with Jup now going forward. Things that felt stuck may start progressing now.

Excellent obnservations, Aquarius7000!

Newtown massacre occured December 14th, 2012 (2nd worse school massacre in US history) Pluto/Mars were in the rising (whole sign) first house in the 9:35 AM event chart; Lilith, conjoined a detrimented Jupiter, was partile quincunx the (detrimented first house) Moon, the event chart Part of Murder (@10 Aries in the 4th whole sign house, within 6 degrees of Uranus in that same sign) was in a chain of exact aspects to Moon and to Lilith...

Re: The skies in March 2013

Hi,

With the New Moon (new beginnings/a new chance) on March 11 in Pisces, and the ongoing Plu-Saturn sextile, this time is rather conducive to let go of our addictions and bad habits - be it alcohol, drugs, or simply binging and sweets. The Pluto-Saturn sextile gives us the necessary energy in terms of strong will and determination to start anew again, if we want to. With Saturn and Pluto at work here, the good thing is that one does not feel one has to give up or sacrifice something one 'likes' to do, or is simply used to doing. It feels rather like getting rid (Plu) of a burden (Sat) that has stuck to us like a parasite.

Beware of Mercury retrograding in Pisces and meeting the Sun in close combustion between March 2nd and March 6th!! Be wary of lies and deceipt (self-deceipt even more), and trying to run away from uneasy but important areas that might be needing one's attention.

Come March 15, come Uranus-Mars conjunction in fiery and nervous Aries. Be careful of short-fuse reactions, highly nervous and excited energy that could easily lead to falls and accidents out of carelessness or rashness, if not paid heed to. Since the energy will be there, whether we like it or not, it is best to employ it in something useful, like a pending task that is overdue. It is even better if the task involves some physical action, since Mars likes physcial movement in Aries. Movement, but careful and mundane movement is required. Please, for the love of whatever/whoever you treasure most, do not try out or even out of habit take to any things/activities that are (even remotely a bit) risky. This is not the time to bungee jump or paraglide!!!!!!! The combo gets even more volatile as of 19th March, when Pluto joins in a square to the Uranus-Mars conjunction. And, why should Saturn stay behind then, so it forms a quincunx to the gunpowder Ura-Mars conjunction. Relax and, no matter what, do not make any decisions out of any pressure (internal or external), or haste into action. You might really regret just a few weeks down the line!!!!!! With the likes of Saturn and Pluto involved, it will be anything but easy to call such decisions/actions off, or change them once sensibility sets in again. Just relax and let the stifling boulder roll by, slowly but surely. :)

Worry not, as, despite what Uranus does above, its sextile to Jupiter is still very much there in March as well to guard us in moments when we might feel lost. Since Ura is being sextiled by Jup, and is in a conjunction with Mars; hence, astro and logically, Mars will also be in a sextile to Jup. This will give us large scoops of energy to move ahead with confidence and keep our chins up. However, as we all know, with Jup in the picture, beware of overdoing things, or being too rash with Mars there. Strike a balance.

Mercury retrogrades until March 17th, and Saturn for quite a few weeks. More on this can be taken off my February post.

Best

Re: The skies in April 2013

Hi,

In addition to the Jup-Ura sextile (happenstance-luck), which is still on until mid April, and the Sat-Plu sextile (iron will and perseverance), Pluto (feeling of crisis) is now in a quincunx with Jupiter (faith). The latter can trigger a crisis of faith, or a deep feeling of unease, but you got to hang in there and trust in the Higher power of the universe. It is important during this 'transitionary' aspect to not throw in the towel, but to 'stay with yourself' and keep the faith! On a mundane level, look at the extremes N Korea is going to, with the idealistic world the country's people believed in, breaking down. Of course, the Plu-Ura square can lead to a revolutionary transformation there, coupled with violence with Mars in the mix, in Aries.

Yes, keep the faith is also the motto behind the incoming trine of Saturn (maintain)and Neptune (inherent belief). You know that He is always watching over us (says Neptune as the higher octave of Jup), but we have to also do our bit on Earth (says Saturn). With all the outer planets presently quite active, there are lots of lessons for us to learn.

Keeping to Saturn and Pluto, Saturn recently turned retrograde, whilst Pluto turns retrograde April 12. Forewarned is forearmed says the proverb. Both these planets symbolise power and authority! And, during retrogradation (rx), it is best to not start out into the territories of those planets. Heeding that dictum or rule, it is better to not take on a new role of authority, if possible, during the rx period. It is also advisable to not challenge (Plu) the power of law (Sat), or of any person in authority (be it the father figure at home, or the boss at work). It could have long-term (Saturn) and bitter (Pluto) consequences. With Pluto retrograding, any 'unfinished business' due to power struggles in any type of relationships is now on the agenda. Do NOT feel challenged (Pluto) and go to extremes (Pluto), and take any decisions or break any ties out of bitterness (Plu) simply to have the upper hand at all costs (Plu). It may result in a close-to irreversible break-up and may make it extremely difficult to pick up the threads later! All pent-up bitterness and suppressed anger (Pluto) is now out to challenge us, so find another channel to let that energy out of your system. --> With Pluto's energy, what functions well is focussing on some task that may seem challenging. For example, if you have been long wanting to start out on a diet or an exercise plan that you have always given up on earlier, now is the time to grit your teeth and with all your determination to go through with that plan.

Lilith continues its conjunction with Vesta - an aspect that may have been causing either dissatisfaction or anger at your work place. With Lilith, it is easy to feel threatened and rebel (sometimes even w/o much of a cause), so do play it cool, as things get better here as of April 25.

The universe always means well and blesses us with a sextile between Ceres and Pallas till April 20th. This combination can most aptly be described as emotional intelligence and creative inspiration. It will also help ease the 'inter-relational' tension with our fellow beings that may have built up in the past few weeks.

The skies in March 2013 and North Korea

Hi,

Kim Jong Un, Date of Birth : 8th Jan 1984. Pulled his natal (without his TOB) using Pyong Yang as his birthplace.

What scares me with this bloke's astrology, besides his heavy Cap-iness and its ruler, Sat in ruthless Scorpio, and, to make it more ruthless a Plu-Mars conjunction, is the chap's Ura-Moon aspect. That can tick him off 'in the wrong direction' in a fraction of a second. So grateful this bloke does not have a Ura-Mars as well, or his chart would have been one gunpowder mix.

In the N. Korean (mundane) chart, 9th Sep 1948, Pyong Yang, Mars is at 3° Sco. Hence N. Korea's Mars is conj Kim Jong's Pluto. Technically, Mars-Pluto conj signifies powerful determination, or extremely inflexible will, extreme ego, which will go for high stakes and being baulked by nothing. If this were a regular relationship synastry, one would say, the Plu person will ruthless want to dominate over the Mars person, which will revolt. Need I say anything more even with this pair!!! Ultimately, a synastry with this aspect often results in one annihilating the other. N Korean Army, or some civil war could cause annihilation. I wouldn't also be surprised if there was some assassination attempt on him again. Also, there is a lot of fire in North Korea's chart with Moon, Jup, Saturn, Plu and Ven - all in fire signs. Who knows, perhaps the country's Asc is also in a fire sign, but, even without that, the rest of it in fire reflects an agressive nation

Peace

Re: The skies in September 2016

Hi,

So, what is happening presently up above in the sky?

Venus, as of September 23rd, leaves its domicile of Libra and enters the deep waters of Scorpio. This is a time of deep feelings, but also of manipulation and control in relationships.

Mars, as of September 27, 2016, enters Capricorn, where it is elevated. This means it is under the influence of Saturn, which tames its energies and channelizes its focus on the goals to be accomplished. This time is perfect to start a new project, especially one that involves a lot mobility, action and stamina. A perfect e.g. would be, banal as it may sound, joining the gym or a particular sport, say if you want to lose weight. This is because Mars is more disciplined and goal-oriented now in Capricorn with Saturn as its commander-in-chief.
On a personal level, look at the house/s your Mars rules in your natal chart, and think about what you want to achieve in that area of life. Say, for instance, Mars rules your natal 10th house, are there any career goals you want to achieve? Needless to say that, for a well-rounded picture, the complete natal chart needs to be looked at.

The square between Saturn and Neptune continues until around the middle of October, after which Saturn finally moves on and out of the square-orb. This is a time to pull oneself out of one's dream-world and into reality, as Neptune is challenged by Saturn. Neptune has an escapist and illusive tendency, whilst Saturn, being the Lord of Time and Karma, urges one to focus on the 'here and now' and to get one's act together.

Jupiter, as of September 9th, is now under the calming and 'balming' (soothing) influence of Venus as it entered Libra. Luck in love and relationships! This is a good time to clear the air on any 'issues' that might have been nagging your relationship. Venus will lend Jupiter a helping hand to smoothen out things and bring in ease, harmony and empathy in all kinds of partnerships and relationships. This also holds good for business partnerships.

Pluto, as of September 26th, resumes its direct motion after many months. Pluto is said to work on a more subconscious level, as it brings change and regeneration from the inside out. The retrograde period was used by all, mostly on a subconscious level, to delve into the deep realms of the subconscious self and seek the inner truth (what is it that I really want, what do I seek in life). It is the best time to mull over the lull (as Pluto can also show you the emptiness inside). All the repressed force and power potential of oneself that we mulled over during the Pluto retrograde will now gradually culminate into formative change.

Finally, on Sept. 30th, there will be New Moon in Libra (8'15"). The New Moon time is good for setting new goals, starting a new project, and, for those interested in gardening, to plant new plants. This is because there is a new energy which grows as the Moon waxes (increases in size).

Good luck to all!
