My thoughts on Neptune in Aries and Pluto in Aquarius

Hey guys, I thought since we’re a few years away from Pluto entering Aquarius and Neptune entering Aries I’d give my thoughts on what could happen during those transits. Neptune is one of my favorite planets to study since it’s always fascinating to see how it influences the culture of an era, so I thought it'd be fun to brainstorm possible manifestations. So here we go....

Neptune in Aries

A lot of people glorify the themes related to the sign Neptune is going through. With Pisces it’s been meditation, self-care (a form of emotional healing) and binge watching (a form of chronic escapism). Possibly with Neptune in Aries martial arts or bodybuilding might become huge. At the very least there might be a collective interest in staying fit or even brushing up on your survival skills.

With Neptune in Pisces there’s a PC culture going on in the western world. People trying to avoid offending others to a point where it seems like a form of self-censorship. Some consider this PC culture too sensitive, soft or weak, some traits associated with Pisces. I wouldn’t be surprised if it becomes okay to be offensive about anything when Neptune enters Aries as a response to the PC culture.

Neptune rules art and music, and currently with Neptune in Pisces aggressive music isn’t mainstream like it was when Neptune was in rebellious Aquarius, back when punk rock and Nu-Metal were mainstream. With Neptune in Mars’ sign aggressive music, music that really gets your adrenaline flowing, most likely will be back in the mainstream.

The 100-year anniversary of World War 2 happens during the time Neptune is in Aries, so don’t be surprised if some of the most popular movies of the era involve themes related to that. The most popular movies and shows tend to reflect the sign Neptune is going through. Other possible themes that may appear in popular movies during Neptune in Aries are sports, martial arts, action-oriented movies with lots of violence or movies involving warriors.

Besides the sign Neptune is in, we also see themes related to the opposite sign pop up in pop culture, so Libran themes like peace, romance and law might appear also.

Neptune also rules fashion, and the sign it’s going through reflects the popular fashion of the era. I wouldn’t be surprised if military or army inspired fashion becomes popular with the collective during that time. Aries rules the head, so perhaps we’ll also see military hats become a thing?

The Neptune sign of a generation also reflects the kind of fashion that’s popular with a generation, the kind of fashion that reflects their generational image. Perhaps eccentric fashion, futuristic fashion or group fashion (everyone in a group of friends wearing the same thing) will become popular with Gen Z? During the Y2K era there was fashion that was inspired by technology at the time, so maybe something like that will be popular with them?

Neptune rules drugs and addiction, so perhaps drugs meant to induce adrenaline or build strength in the body will become a thing by then.

The Neptune in Aquarius generation will be the ones in the mainstream making the music during the era (especially with Pluto transiting their Neptune), so I expect them to make music that’s rebellious, eccentric or electronic (with Aquarian themes like futurism, rebellion, freedom or friendship) but with an Aries flavor i.e aggressive, fast-paced or passionate. If you want to see what kind of music or art a particular Neptune generation will make you can look back at the era they were born in to get a clue.

Neptune in Libra in the 50s was a time that glorified marriage and peace, and that generation became the flower children of the 60s and 70s. Many of their songs had the themes of romance. They use the flower as one of their main symbols, a symbol of peace.

With Neptune in Scorpio in the 60s it was the sex, drugs and rock and roll era, and the generation born then became the hip-hop and heavy metal generation of the 80s and 90s. Notice that metal fans wear band t-shirts that are black and have skulls, monsters and demon designs?

With Neptune in Sagittarius in the 1970s grew an interest in eastern cultures and media. Kung-fu movies became huge in the 1970s with the rise of Bruce Lee and other films, and it was a time when cults appeared (even negative ones like Heaven’s Gate which was founded in 1974). Many members of Christian rock bands like Pillar or Red were born during this time also, religion is ruled by Sagittarius. You can also thank this generation for making eastern media like anime popular in the western world.

With Neptune in Capricorn it was big business and corporate culture. This was also a time when Capricorn themes appeared in shows or movies like the Golden Girls or Who Framed Roger Rabbit. On a side note this was also the time when Cartoon Network came into existence, a channel that was originally dedicated to only showing vintage cartoons from the golden era of animation (Bugs Bunny, Tom & Jerry etc). Neptune in Capricorn generation glorifies classic things like vinyl, retro inspired art and music, and starting their own business.

With Neptune in Aquarius Nu-Metal (a form of metal music that combines elements of other genres like hip-hip), teen pop, autotune, punk-rock, boy bands, girl groups and hip-hop were popular during the era. The use of technology in art, music, movies and animation grew. Aquarian movies like the Matrix and Avatar were popular with the masses.

Pluto in Aquarius
This one, to me, is a bit worrisome. Pluto exposes the dark side of the sign it’s going through. Anything disgusting that’s been swept under the rug for so long comes to the surface for all to see. With technology and the internet being so deeply ingrained in modern day society, all I can say is yikes. Pluto changes things for better or worse, so I’m hoping that, at the very least, people will develop a better relationship with technology by then, and that we’ll see a waning of this smartphone, social media addict culture that Neptune in Aquarius left us with.

The last time this happened was during the industrial revolution, so best-case scenario would be that technological advancements will skyrocket during this era? Uranus in Gemini will happen during the Pluto in Aquarius era, so we might also see technological advancements involving short distance travel. Self-driving cars? Electronic cars? Maybe communications technology will evolve, and we'll see something that will surpass the smartphone?

Maybe there will be more scientific studies (Aquarius) regarding death? (Pluto) We might finally become enlightened on what truly happens after we die.

Perhaps it’ll be a time when the collective’s relationship with technology changes. Right now it seems like people think that the internet and technology is the answer to all our problems, and we’ve come to develop no boundaries to technology, even if it means developing addictions, all courtesy of Neptune in Aquarius. The thing is, the internet isn’t what it used to be in the late 90s. Nowadays companies harvest our data and privacy online is a thing of the past. Perhaps during this transit the collective will become more mindful of their online privacy?

Increasing paranoia involving technology. Even now some people think smartphones and smart devices spy on everything we do. Perhaps during Pluto in Aquarius we’ll all come to see if that’s completely true.

Scandals (especially sexual ones) tend to be common during Pluto transits, so perhaps we’ll see scandals involving technology? Deepfake technology, a type of technology that creates a convincing fake copy of a person’s face placed on someone else’s body in a video, has become a thing, and during Pluto in Aquarius it might grow out of control, thus, leading to a lot scandals online, especially involving pornography.

Technology meant for sexual gratification will probably be a thing during this time. It doesn’t have to be just sex robots, but it could also be to enhance sexuality. This isn’t a bad thing, but some people will see it as bad or disgusting. There might be controversy surrounding it.

Neptune in Aquarius generation might feel this transit the most since they’re the first generation to grow up completely in the digital age. Perhaps Pluto in Aquarius will be a time when the collective will learn to depend less on technology, so for this generation that might prove to be a challenge.

It started when Neptune was in Scorpio in the 1960s, a mass reaction to the way society was in the first 6 decades of the 20th century is widely rejected by the then young adult Baby Boomers who were the most numerous in number of any previous generation in human history. I think this increased when Neptune was in Capricorn in the 1980s and Aquarius in the 1990s when less people are openly bigoted and downright racist/sexist/homophobe/xenophobe, then the PC movement was shutting down "conservative" and mainstream opinions or dissent . This is now comparable to the anti-communism the USA had in the period from WW1 to the time JFK was assassinated, peaking in the 1920s and 1950s "red scares" that de-legitimatized "liberal" and non-mainstream opinions or dissent.

Very interesting subject. :alien:

Neptune makes it to 29degrees55minutes Pisces in the summer of 2024.

It gets to 29Pisces in May and sits there until it hits stationary retro on July 2nd @ 29'55....and is still retro @ 29 until September....

It hits Aries on Mar 30, 2025.

Here is a very good article from 2013 about Neptune in Aries:
https://harenewscorp.wordpress.com/2012/10/06/neptune-in-aries-in-2025-civil-war/

Neptune in Aries in 2025: Civil War?

Aries is the sign of new beginnings and at this time a very bloody birth within America was taking place. Aries is also the Greek God of War. The American Civil War from 1861 to 1865 would ultimately cost the lives of over 600,000 people, it would forever prevent the breaking apart of our nation and it would end slavery and the beginning of freedom for many.

The geocentric transit of Neptune entering the constellation of Aries occurred for the first time on April 13th, 1861: the exact same date exactly Fort Sumter fell to The Confederacy. This date marked the beginning of the Civil War.

The Neptune in Libra generation grew up in a culture influenced by the period from 1900-60 (the Victorian age ended in 1900, the Progressive era 1900-35 and New Deal socialism 1935-60). They grew up and inherited the country from their elders to changed it under their brand of social liberalism (the Civil Rights movement, 1960-85 and Political correctness 1985-2020). When they were children, they may heard their parents or grandparents made some derogatory comments about groups of people (i.e. the Irish, Italians, Germans, Poles, esp. Jews and even Mormons) in the 1950s to now in the cusp of the 2010s-2020s, it has became unacceptable to make any comment about groups of people (i.e. Blacks, Latinx, Native Americans, Women, esp. Gays and even Down's Syndrome).

The 3 cycles of US history: Foundation as a colony 1607-1776 (then came US independence), the period from 1776-1860 (Civil War broke out and the US won to reunified their country) and 1860-2020 (the current period). I can see up to 600,000 die from the current COVID pandemic which is uprooting society like every major crisis event, so expect a change in social mores and norms after the pandemic comes to an end (maybe 2021). The most tense periods were 1775-1787 (12 years) and 1861-77 (16 years), but expect 2020-28 (8 years) under Neptune in Aries while Pluto makes a Capricorn-Aquarius return to have a very wide gap of culture: the "people" drives out PC culture from power.

The last time Neptune was in Aries was during the US Civil war (1861-65) and the end of it came in 1865, about 89 years after the US declaration of independence, and 90 years later was Rosa Parks' defiant act to launched the Civil Rights movement. In 1941, the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor made the US enter WW2 and we fought for 4 years (within a 76-80 year period). Now in 2020 within another 76-80 year period, this time Neptune is back in Aries.

And while we're at it (talking about Neptune Aries/Pluto Aquarius social revolt), can I slaughter the sacred cow of Reaganomics which eliminated the once large middle class for 4 decades and get rid of the half century old neoconservative presence in the government pushing us to get into wars in the Middle East?

We're entering a period of "civil war" involving politics, religion, culture, class, races, sexes, LGBT and provincial/state level, so we can't handle another "holy race nuke world war for god, oil and profit" against communist China, Islamist Iran and our biggest adversary in US history: the Eurasian Giant-ess of Russia.

I want to add Uranus is in Taurus after it's brief stay in Aries in the 2010s with Eris in Aries (great disasters) and Sedna in Taurus (our current stage of world or human civilization). Having Uranus in Taurus represents natural disasters, then it includes social disasters of brighter magnitude to darken our moods.

And currently, Neptune is in Pisces, to represent an "end" of an era, esp. the 164-165 year orbit the 8th official astronomical planet represents to the USA. Same with Pluto when it leaves Capricorn and enters Aquarius in the 2020's, note they are Saturnian ruled signs: modern Capricorn and traditional Aquarius.
