I noticed this recently. Here's a list of NBA "stars" by their Sun Element:
Earth
Taurus: Paul George; Chris Paul; Kemba Walker; Domantas Sabonis; Victor Oladipo
Virgo: James Harden; Jimmy Butler Trae Young; Donovan Mitchell; Brandon Ingram; Kevin Love; John Wall; CJ McCollum
Capricorn: LeBron James
Water
Cancer: Kawhi Leonard; Damian Lillard; Bradley Beal; Ben Simmons; Zion Williamson; Rudy Gobert; Bam Adebayo; LaMarcus Aldridge
Scorpio: Russell Westbrook; Karl-Anthony Towns; Devin Booker; Jaylen Brown
Pisces: Steph Curry; Anthony Davis; Joel Embiid; Luka Doncic; Nikola Jokic; Jayson Tatum; D'Angelo Russell; Blake Griffin
Air
Gemini: Jrue Holiday; Al Horford
Libra: Kevin Durant
Aquarius: Klay Thompson
Fire
Aries: Kyrie Irving; Kyle Lowry; Pascal Siakam
Leo: Khris Middleton; Ja Morant; DeMar DeRozan; Kristaps Porzingis
Sagittarius: Giannis Antetokounmpo; De'Aaron Fox
I probably missed a name or two, and I have no bias in this, as I study NBA analytics (and played bball growing up) and happen to be a Libra Sun.
I take it because the best players often have to be receptive before being assertive, in that they have to intuitively feel/analyze what the defense is giving them before acting. Obviously, there are many great NBA players who go about it differently too, but in today's game, being intuitive seems to be a huge advantage.

I feel like the last era of stars (00s) was mostly made up of Feminine Suns as well: Shaq (Pisces); Kobe (Virgo); Duncan (Taurus); KG (Taurus); D-Wade (Capricorn) etc etc...Though there were exceptions like Iverson (Gemini) and Dirk (Gemini).

Strangely enough, I feel like the best players in the 80s-90s were mostly Masculine Suns: Jordan (Aquarius); Magic (Leo); Bird (Sagittarius); Hakeem (Aquarius); Karl Malone (Leo); Pippen (Libra); Stockton (Aries); D.Robinson (Leo); M.Malone (Aries); Kareem (Aries)
