Hello,
I am looking for an ephemeris table for 2011 suitable for the Southern Hemisphere which will tell be the changing sidereal Moon/Zodiac relationship for every day of the year. Do you know where I could find such a table on the net? Your help would be much appreciated. I apologize for the inconvenience. Stefan

Hello,
I am new to astrology and astronomy. I want to learn how to read the data tables in " Neil F. Michelson", heliocentric and geocentric Ephemeris.
1) Where can i get information how to interpret, read and understand this information in the ephemeris?
2) How to know in ephemeris: ie: when a planets nodes cross?
3) what softwares can be used that are visual and have user input for criteria, i.e. when the planets nodes cross in both helio and geocentric
and
4) other basic learning information centering on ephemeris, dealing with astrology and astronomy

Cheers

Here's a link to software that - among other options - calculates the 'Heliocentric Key Cycle' http://www.astrsoft.com/

There seem many software which works out Ephemeris readings, positions and even readings recently.

But would it be possible to be able to do all that manually using the Ephemeris books?

What would be the advantage of using the software? - apart from maybe they do it faster?

What would be advantage of using the traditional way of using the book Ephemeris?

One of the disadvantages of software is that different programmers
program their software differently
and so their calculations differ
but with an EPHEMERIS then one may do own calculations

I hope this isn't a stupid question.

I have a copy of the New American Ephemeris for the 21st Century 2000-2100 at Midnight.

My question is midnight where? It's an AMERICAN ephemeris so I assumed before i bought it would be set to the eastern or pacific time zone.

Thanks

It should be midnight UT.

And, you can convert that to the Eastern Time (NY Time).

You can use the following link to convert the timezones: http://www.timebie.com/timezone/utcest.php
