(PS: for me, I only take a comparison of the natal chart with the locational elements into account, when making a locational evaluation)

In the posted natal reference chart, Saturn applies to square of Pluto: this aspect alone would be sufficient reason for me to recommend staying away from being on a Saturn/Pluto line.
Dr. Farr, see my post above. I have Saturn conjunct Pluto, both conjunct the Midheaven. I also think that the conjunction between these two planets requires you to stay away from Saturn/Pluto lines as well!

I agree!

(Unless, under rather unusual circumstances, Pluto and Saturn both happen to be highly dignified, in which case such a conjunction would be +; but in most cases we do not find this, so such conjunctions are usually difficult)

Absolutely! I actually "hired" an excellent astrocartography specialist to look into my particular situation. I've never paid for an astrological consultation before, but I feel like now is the time, especially in this particular branch of astrology. I really believe that location is everything, and I know for a fact that where I'm living now is working against me career-wise.

My main area of interest is in death, specifically forensics (medicolegal death investigator). If I can somehow get my Saturn-Pluto conjunction away from my Midheaven and placed into a better house, along with placing more fortuitous planets on my Midheaven, I think that will help me tremendously.

Re: NEVER move to a location with "Crossing SATURN/PLUTO" !!!!!

This may be off topic, but I have a question regarding relocation charts + synastry. Would a person relocating affect synastry with their significant other?

On the travel map option on Astro.com the aspects I have for where my boyfriend lives is Venus/MC Line. This looks to be a favorable aspect, however I also have Uranus/DS Line.. which would negative. Does this mean I would be there to be with him but then ultimately break up? Also, if he were to move to NY it looks like he has Pluto/MC Line and Jupiter/DS Line - which almost are contradictory, no? Based on the Pluto aspect I do not think it would be a good idea for him to move over here at this time. But could it mean that there may be some changes that are for the best where he may prosper from? My final question are these aspects forever or do they change over time? Would neither of us ever be happy in the other's country?

I only ask all of this because we are trying to figure out what would make the most sense for us and I am more in favor of me moving there. Thank you!

We can all agree that Steve Jobs is one of the first people that come to mind when we think of successful, correct? Steve Jobs was born, lived, and died in San Francisco. San Francisco is the location for a Saturn/Pluto line crossing (or a "paran") for Steve Jobs. People tend to forget how powerful these two planets can be if they are mastered.

I just think that sometimes Saturn can be a big ol meanie and most people just want to make sure that they don't live near it. I currently live in a city between my moon node and my Saturn placement.

Restrictions and limitations, the planet of restrictions and limitations I tell you, especially in the career field. Can not get to college because there is no public transportation to the campus locations. Sister in law said that there are plenty of jobs, yet it took me two years to find one and now it's taking me another year or more to find one.

We had a choice of heading to Oregon or to the southern states to be with my husbands family. We should have headed north to Oregon where my venus and jupiter cross. Unfortunately, I can't get him to move there. My husband should stay away from Las Vegas.

Re: NEVER move to a location with "Crossing SATURN/PLUTO" !!!!!

This is a pretty old thread but I'll reply anyway.

Where I have lived since I was little child I have a Saturn AC Neptune MC crossing and it is horrible. I also have a bunch of other bad crossings like chiron DC venus IC, chiron DC mercury AC, moon AC mars MC and a uranus DC line. (Only partially good crossing I have is Mercury AC Venus IC).

I had a lot of issues with the other people here and from reading your post I think the main culprit is the saturn neptune crossing (and maybe also that mars and moon crossing). First a lot of people missunderstood me, like I will say something in a nice way but it comes out as super rude and my tone sounds rude and even aggressive. In my ears it doesn't sound aggresive but to others it does and they will be weirded out by my ''aggressive'' behaviour. I also have a hard time finding people that agree with me exactly like you said, people seem to think the opposite of what I think, especially people that are from similar cultures/countries as me which is weird since we should have many things in common.

I also feel very limited (thats a saturn thing :P) in my everyday life and with whatever I do. Like I feel like I can't go out whenever I want or do whatever I want it feels like something is holding me back the whole time. Also I read about the neptune saturn crossing on astro .com and it was so accurate. It basically said that neptune would put these dreams into my head but then saturn (like the death star it is) would proceed to destroy them and bring me back to reality. Saturn crossings seem to be best for people that have problems in their life and need to mature or grow out of those bad habits or people that want to work, not people that want to have any type of fun.

Re: NEVER move to a location with "Crossing SATURN/PLUTO" !!!!!

According to my relocation astrology chart...I should avoid the Saturn AC/Pluto AC crossing line in or near...Thule, Greenland. Why would I wanna move close to the North Pole for? Unless I was in the US Armed Forces, their base is in the vicinity of Thule in northwest Greenland, an air force base above the Arctic circle.

Re: NEVER move to a location with "Crossing SATURN/PLUTO" !!!!!

On my relocation astrology chart, the state of CA where I live has 2 planetary lines: Venus MC line in the eastern portion where the Palm Springs area is and I live there, and there's the Saturn IC line in the Pacific coasts between L.A. and the Bay area. I say I'm caught between a good and a bad line conflicting each other and it's an indication of an experience of a rough neighborhood (Indio) and to the west, a more desirable place (Palm Desert), not in sync with Venus to the east and Saturn in the west. Venus in it's highest over my hometown or 115 degrees west vs. Saturn in the lowest along 120 degrees west Longitude.

Haha, I was born and still live on my Saturn line. No wonder the battles never end.

Re: NEVER move to a location with "Crossing SATURN/PLUTO" !!!!!

Should I relocate to eastern Oklahoma next year, the state where I have Pluto IC line cross almost exactly along the Ark-Ok state line. I have maternal family history in Pattillo Mountain about a few miles west of Fort Smith, Arkansas. I'm worried that decision can be a mistake, a place along the Pluto line, but like someone said about Steve Jobs' career moves were influenced by his natal chart astrocartography, the Saturn/Pluto lines crossing heavily benefited him.

Re: NEVER move to a location with "Crossing SATURN/PLUTO" !!!!!

I have lived in a place with Saturn/Pluto crossing... I felt repressed, powerless, and unhappy, but I was a very successful student in that area... and now I live in a location that has put Mars in my first house (while it was in the 6th, on DC, in my hometown), and this feels quite terrible because I find myself fighting with people and attracting very aggressive and unkind people, so I understand how you feel.

Re: NEVER move to a location with "Crossing SATURN/PLUTO" !!!!!

It has been a few years since this post and I joined this forum only a few days ago but I hope you are still a member and can answer: who was the prominent relocational astrologer that you have hired and how did your relocation work out? Are you happy in the new place?
I relocated three times already but I do not seem to find the right place. I want to find a good astrologer now. Can anyone help me with that?

Re: NEVER move to a location with "Crossing SATURN/PLUTO" !!!!!

Then there's the Local Space chart that radiates from where you're born and/or where you live. From what I read, probably based on my sun sign Aquarius' traditional ruler is Saturn, the Saturn AC actually is a beneficial line I should reside in (i.e. Utah), except Saturn was retrograde in my chart. And a long Pluto AC line crosses the middle of California, the state I current live, indicates I shouldn't move anywhere along/near the Pluto AC line which is the majority of the state.

And it's also said the sun and moon in 8th house...should a 8th house-ruled Scorpio planet Pluto lines be ideal for me, esp my travel charts or my local space one (it goes towards the North coast of California right near the Oregon state line).

I agree that relocation astrology works. I am relocated in a place with Pluto and Uranus in the 4th house, yet a strong relocated MC near my natal Sun and Mercury. As others have said, the MC helps my work be seen and appreciated, yet Pluto Uranus in the 4th / IC cusp are bad. It is a location where I cannot relax, cannot enjoy a beautiful house, as always something dramatic is happening at home/family setting.
The problem I see with astrocartography is that no matter where you move, you can never find perfection. Something's got to give. You fix one life aspect, yet you have a disadvantage or tension in another.
Especially for people (like me) that have natal oppositions or squares, you can never escape from the natal aspects.
