Does my friend want to be my friend?

Me and my friend were good friends and were working together. However, i don't work with him now.

I am a female. When i message him, he responds and chats nicely. But, i don't know if he is also interested in this friendship. Since we both are married, i am thinking he maintains the distance. But, want to make sure he is also interested in this friendship.

The question is, is he interested in this friendship? Does he ever think of me?
