David and Leomoon, you impeach someone who is a current holder of an office, not someone who has, what, 9 days left until he's supposedly out the door? If Nancy wants to make sure they get Trump so that he can never run for office in 2024, then you still don't need to impeach to do that. You prosecute him, sue the heck out of him once he's no longer president, and if he has really committed such atrocious crimes against humanity like what you believe, then he'll either be executed or end up in prison for so long that you won't have to worry about him running for election in 2024 anyway, or ever, really, because once someone has a criminal record, they can't really ever run for president. Also, when you think about it, he'd be 78 by then, no spring chicken, so why the concern?
But Trump hasn't committed any crimes, he's not on his way out, he HAS won the election, all of which Nancy knows. Now she's panicking about the fact that her laptop has been taken and she's about to be exposed, so in this context a hasty impeachment makes sense. Get em before they get you, hey? But Nancy is fighting a losing battle, this is just her last ditch attempt, and a sad one too.
