The archetypal categories explain the confusion. For example, the early Roman Catholic Church had to contend with the belief that Jupiter was King of the gods, and labeled Jupiter as a real entity, but in reality a Satanically-inspired "demon", with characteristics similar to the Father in the Christian Trinity in order to mislead the populace.

You still haven't given a reason.

Yes, why would they correlate?

The Greek gods are one way to describe the archetypal categories, not the actual deities as worshiped in the Greco-Roman era. I also use Sumerian and ancient Egyptian deities for that purpose.

Odd question. Can one see God in a chart?
No, but you can see gods - archetypal and partial representations of divine energy.

No, I don't share your paganistic worldview, and I do not think that astrology is divinatory. I think that the planets themselves have a discernible physical causal effect transmitted upon the terrestrial realm that accounts for some results of astrologers. - https://www.astrologyweekly.com/foru...d.php?t=130820

Interesting.
I would prefer a physical explanation myself, but traditional interpretations of my physique - where one would expect to see results - are wrong 🕵️*♀️ Confronted with conflict between theory and data, I am willing to open my mind.

I would be conflicted with contrary data as well, if someone can show me the falsification of my results, and the verification of his results.

That said, when there is limited data, I would prefer a consistent, plausible and rational theory over nothing, like what david offers.

So, no effects when the Earth's blocking them when they're below the horizon?

You think that the Earth immediately cools to 0 K when the Sun goes below the horizon?

Moon and the five planets have minor effects, but significant in the final admixture with the major consistent effects of the Sun. Besides, their qualities are all different, even with major differences of quantity.

If you can't see them, the have no effect, according to Traditionalistic astrology. You can't see them when they're below the horizon.

If the Moon can influence tides, the effect must be more than minor?

If Merc can influence thought, that's a major effect.

Yes, I believe that is why it is more important than the five, why it is moist and cold, and why only the Lot of Fortune is another Ascendant of relative importance.

Re: Random Thoughts, strictly Text

Like Ptolemy, I think that the Hour-Marker, the Sun, the Moon, the Lunar Hour-Marker and the Midheaven are the five most authoritative places at the nativity. They are authoritative at every nativity, the others - more or less accidentally. He says that the Sun and the Moon are the marshals of the planets.

I have Venus in the 3rd. But I don't believe in goddesses or that God is boxed in a cadent house.

Meaning, in the context of astrology, we can see effects, but not the cause of the effects, or the reason behind the correlations.
