Interpretive value of the ascendant being in the 12th house?

Sorry, but this is impossible. The ascendent is the cusp of the 1st house, it can't be in the 12th house.!
Do you mean the ruler of the ascendent?

Correct. But...

Hey everyone I know some of you have this placement
How would you describe your life so far?

Do you mean the ascendant, or the MC?

The ascendant cannot be in the twelfth house, as ElenaJ pointed out. Even in whole sign, the ascendant is always in the first. It defines the first house.

The MC can be in the twelfth house whole sign. It's another of those things that happens at high latitudes.

Is this one of those spider-web traditional vs modern sections that should be defined? It seems it is headed that way.

Clarification helps first before reassignment.

Look at the top of the board. Which forum are we in?

It's not the Traditional Astrology forum and it's not the Modern Astrology forum. That means any thread can include either or both.

It's every poster's responsibility to know which board they're posting on.

Not necessarily.
The AC and MC don’t have to be connected to the 1st or 10th h cusp

Use Morinus house system

True. But I do not believe by definition that the ascendant can be in the 12th sign or house of a chart.

As I recall, the ascendant is the degree on the horizon at the time of birth. It marks the first house, either the cusp, or within it depending upon the house system you use.

Might you have an example of a chart you could display for us that shows the AC in the 12th sign or house?

But even when they're not, the AC can only be in the first house. By definition, the first house in whole sign is the sign the ascendant is in, and in all other house systems, including equal house, the ascendant is the first house cusp.

Okay I attach chart.
The ASC is in the 12th. One is in the 2nd.

I think it incorporates aspects of the personality based on the house.
Kind of like floating IC/MC in whole signs, this could be a floating ASC too.

The first chart in placidus is attached. The ascendent is the first house.
The one you posted, Bunraku, is Ippocentric.
I don't understand this.
What is the advantage?

Elena
It starts from intersection of the equator with the meridian, and divide it by 30. But instead of projecting it from the pole of the equator it's projected to the pole of the ecliptic

True, but sometimes if it's just information for information's sake it becomes clutter.
The chart you posted has Liz Greene's name. Does she use this?

Liz Greene is just a chart design setting that turns off the colors (with the exception of the aspects which I haven't gotten rid of). I dislike too many colors in the chart. If I could find a way to turn off the house labels too I would.

It's okay, maybe the discussion can be had for another time.
We can let this thread slowly sink into the depths of the forum.
