Hillary Clinton started out a Goldwater Republican, before coming to her senses and joining the Democratic Party. The young are allowed to make foolish choices.

Not fake! Hillary Clinton received nearly 3 million more votes than Donald Trump, and is therefore our (and Donald Trump's) Popular-vote President. Just as he received substantially more Electoral votes (due to our flawed Electoral College winner-take-all system, which includes outdated affirmative action for the less populated States), and is therefore our (and Hillary Clinton's) Electoral-vote President.

People forget that it was sainted and martyred JFK and his brother Bobby who were in office when the Vietnam War began in earnest. They actually thought it was a good idea! One theory is that JFK changed his mind, and the Military Industrial Complex used clandestine means to have him assassinated for that very reason. If so, he was the last President who actually believed he had the power to run our foreign policy. The Mainstream Media was all for that war, and for the Iraq War as well. Liberal politicians supported war, just like in the Vietnam era. What concerns me is that Trump not only looks like the Media's image of a Commander in Chief, but had its full backing when he used missiles in Syria, and a bunker buster in Afghanistan. If the M.I.C. is planning to unleash the full power of our military, killing thousands, if not hundreds of thousands, Trump will be portrayed as the strong, heroic leader, sacrificing our troops in a "necessary" and "righteous" military action. It won't be the relatively low-keyed, "low intensity" violence that is GOING ON NOW, under Trump, and was happening throughout Obama's time in office. If Bernie Sanders had been elected, the odds are he would have sought peace, and paid the ultimate price. Another "lone nut", perhaps. No way Trump would resist escalating the current conflicts. Like Bush Jr., he would relish his role as mighty Commander in Chief. And not only his supporters, but the Mainstream Media also, would be loudly applauding his "heroic leadership"
