The lady signed the same rental agreement I did. There is no suggestion that she is responsible if someone falls on the property she rents.
The stairs on her property were in poor condition when she moved in. She thought the stairs met the landlords standards even though one step on the stairs was in bad condition. She avoided that step. Visitors didn't know to avoid it.
I saw this lady tonight as I walked my dog. She doesn't even speak to me now. She feels it's my fault that she will be evicted. So sad. I encouraged her to go to Legal Aid. She says she doesn't have time. She wants me drop the claim with the property owners so she won't get evicted. No way.
