The Kryptos Code is a mind bender for me, being fixed by time (Longitude) and Latitude to where Sirius rises, it will take me time to answer with science, as yet i can only find the location of the area around Rosslyn Chapel as a location on 3rd November 1990 when it was dedicated.
I will continue to search, but does seem fixed in this area....it could be a clue? If i do find other locations, they will be few!

I thought i would leave a link to the Knight's Templar rule book, it really looks like a boring existence, and smelly!

The date of Friday 13th October 1307 has gone down in history, many think it is where the superstition of Friday 13th came from, however it was the date that many of the Knight's Templar were rounded up to be placed in prison, as shown on link below:-

The legend is that many escaped to Edinburgh with treasure that could be buried in Rosslyn Chapel.
But what really made them choose Edinburgh?
Perhaps the date means more than we know, for using midnight day marker, perhaps the stars favoured the Knight's going there in their beliefs, for both Regulus (Richard the LIONHEART) and Sirius was rising on that day.
It wasn't easy calibrating midnight during that time, clock towers were only just in use, but using local time it was possible to calcalate when the Sun was near the Nadir.
It may have influenced the escaping Knight's Templars on 13th October 1307 to make for Edinburgh for astrological beliefs.....who knows?

Interesting that the Black Death followed shortly after they were attacked.

I have read that many cases of the bubonic plague were misdiagnosed. That in actuality it was ergot poisoning, whose symptoms mimic those of the plague.

Ergot poisoning makes the skin discolour, as bruised. It gives fever, rotting of the flesh, and death within three days.

Ergot is the fungus that grows off of rye. When it gets ground into the rye flour, (as it still does sometimes in our time) all who eat it die.

I believe it was Nostradamus who had the rye flour disposed of in one city and was accredited with the cure.

When ergot is placed in water, it distributes equally and is used as a hallucinogenic, as when drank it contains LSD.

The alchemical uses were taught in the distant past. As now, not all were aware of it properties.

Roslyn Chapel also has South American indigenous Aloe Vera carved into the decorative stone. This is before Columbus discovered? the America’s.
