Hi Aquarius,
I think I used confusing verbiage...My Rising sign is Leo. My moon sign is Aquarius. My ASC node is in Taurus.

I mean how can my rising sign be my ascendant when there is the north and south node to contend with? So confusing...

So, by that logic, the north node and south node should not be referred to as ascendant. I have a North node in Taurus and South node in Scorpio---but I think I see the difference those are ascendant nodes. Maybe that is where I get messed up...lol.

Your chart doesn't look so bad, actually. Saturn transiting your natal Sun was quite a while ago. And Jupiter is already in Scorpio, your Sun sign.

From the vedic perspective, however, it does all make sense. You are currently running your Saturn-Moon dasha. In the vedic chart your rising sign is Cancer, with Moon in Capricorn. Your identity is usually defined by ASC, Moon and Sun. So currently there's a strong Saturn influence on your ASC and Moon. Saturn is also moving into the 12th house from the Moon and the 6th from the ASC.

Can you help me understand what the Vedic version means? Asc in Cancer and Capricorn moon, etc? Why is this different than the what I know as to be my rising and moon sign?Thanks for your help.

Vedic astrology uses the sidereal zodiac, not the tropical zodiac. Which means aspects stay the same, but planets usually change signs and houses.

Like me, you have Natal Saturn squaring transit Saturn, Uranus, Lilith and Chiron and Mars and benefic Jupiter!

These are worth taking into concideration .
With Uranus retrograding back and forth, you may feel your moving forward then being restricted once again.
With Chiron, old wounds from the past may re-emerge.
Mars brings frustration and anger
Saturn- You may feel like your reaching a crisis point. letting go of out dated behaviours that no longer serve your higher purpose. Anything you began 7 or 14 years ago may crop up, urging you to complete.

Once a month, your Moon will Square all these positions, heightening emotional awareness. This may feel daunting (moon is squaring now).
It would be worth keeping an eye on your transits so you don't feel your going crazy. Your not.
However, You now have Jupiter squaring Natal Jupiter bringing new optimism and faith.
You will feel more alive and ready to achieve better things. Thus will last for a year. Jupiter retrograde once in this period . Giving you a second blast of expansive joy! (That may sound over the top) but take advantage of this time.

Yes, things are starting to appear to move forward instead of backwards as of this week...yeah. I am wary. Treading lightly and prepared to absorb instead of resist the challenges coming my way.
