What's up with Leo Asc/Aries MC people these days?

Among the most recent threads on this board, three are from people with Leo Asc+Aries MC who are lost at what to do in life.

No passion for any occupation - what should I do? - started Feb 12
http://www.astrologyweekly.com/forum/showthread.php?t=22437

What could be this person's job? - started Feb 11
http://www.astrologyweekly.com/forum/showthread.php?t=22403

Anything positive in my 10th house? - started Feb 8
http://www.astrologyweekly.com/forum/showthread.php?t=22344

Given that Vocational Astrology does not see a huge number of new threads, I think this is an interesting tendency. Question about Software Startup (http://www.astrologyweekly.com/forum/showthread.php?t=22278) is from person with Leo Asc and Aries Sun (not MC) - still somewhat in line with this tendency.

What's up? Is it retro Mars?

Well, maybe the Pluto-Saturn square has something to do with it. For Leo Asc people like me Pluto in Capricorn is transiting the 6th house. The 6th house is traditionally attributed to Virgo and that's where Saturn is currently performing its retrograde motion. So definitely a strong emphasis on work and health-related issues. Mars Rx in Leo may cause extra inner pressure to give the upcoming transformation direction. I wonder what will happen to us once Uranus completes the Grand Cross (once from the 9th house in pisces and once from the 10th - so pretty close to our midheaven).

(Ok, so I do apologize for the fact that this might actually be the first time I register to an "online" community , and I´ve got no clue whether I´m actually writting in the correct box or not, etc.) .. So yeah, humm.. well this topic :What's up with Leo Asc/Aries MC people these days? got my full attention since I have been "battling" (so to speak), with my vocational purpose in this life ..It has become a bit of a burden , honestly every single person I know has a slight clue regarding their career or life´s mission , yet as much as I´ve felt & gone through a myriad of jobs and tried loads of different activities(even from different perceptual positions) , no powerful or substantial "passion" emerges , nothing seems to "ring a bell" , and my occupational indecisiveness or my current lack of passion for any job-activity is just becoming a heavy load! I am helplessly & desperately trying to find out what to make a living from ? I would appreciate any insights. I Seriously feel I was led to this website upon asking for help-guidance and I´m grateful w/source for finding this community. I´m currently undergoing an unprecedented shift (saturn return , plus all trans-generational planets changing etc. etc. and so on )and my story is I used to rank really high in my family´s “love-chart” back in the days,(me a brilliant & promising talent blah blah) … , BUT now only a few days away from my 30 B-day ( oct.24th) after not complying w/ their long-cultivated expectations , my popularity has now plunged, hitting rock bottom, all the way down to where I am basically seen as a lost, lazy, paralized crazy-delusional “alien“ who can´t or won´t walk his talk !.. and I just had a painful confrontation w/mom which is the immediate reason I felt compelled to search for clarity before discovering this site… - I´ve come to be taken “literaly” as a weekly recreational pin-point game-SPOT where my whole family can just target and mirror their own loads &fears ... Waves of Love , & thx. for reading ! :)

[MODS............you may wish to create a new thread completely using javowiz's last post as the opening post, given this is a personal request from him, and not related to the thread itself.]

Now to you, javowiz............
Firstly, your struggle to find your career path through life is not unusual or unique. Those born from the mid 70's onwards frequently struggle with finding their way through.

Now, the main reason astrologically for this is that you have natal Chiron in the 10th house, and this describes a `wound' of having any or all of the following:

  • difficulties in knowing if where you are going and what exactly is `right' for you.
  • difficulties with people in `authority'.
  • being able to see where others need to be going and how, but having little insight into what actually suits you.
You also have your Nodal axis forming a Grand Cross with your MC-IC axis.......what this may mean for you is that you will feel drawn in several different directions at the same time, and then if you feel you are `getting there', something about this will still not feel right for you.

You have a Libra stellium in your 3rd house, and this is being activated currently by transiting Saturn. This can have you feeling somewhat hard on yourself for not having got it all together by now. You have only just completed your Saturn Return - something everyone experiences at age 29 - and this is a time of reviewing your life so far, throwing out what doesn't work, and attempting to replace what doesn't work for you with something which does. Thus your sense of having drifted through jobs and not having hit upon the `right' one.

Let me suggest to you that this is not a waste of time. You have had a lot of varying experiences, and this in itself is a valuable life lesson.
I have a sense that you have a profound ability to help and serve others in some way, but before you do that you have to walk a difficult road of your own. After all, the best people to help others are those who have actually `been there'.

Your Scorpio Sun is conjunct Pluto, so you will have to change and transform throughout your life. This means that what suits you now will no longer work for you in 5-10 years. I think that you are meant to try different things, and to see what `fits'. It's just that this probably feels uncomfortable and wrong to you. And your family's reactions to your `drifting' is about them and their expectations of you - it is not about you at all. They have no doubt been bragging about their brilliant son to all who would listen, and now they see that (in their expectations at least) you have `failed'. I think that you are a success for not having bought into that stuff!!! And who says you have to be a professional something-or-other and make lots of money?

You have a lot of `talent' in your chart, but that Chiron in the 10th says that you have some kind of Higher Purpose. Many priests, nuns, popes and other religious/spiritual devotees have Chiron in the 10th.

(And I also sense that what you are actually asking is for `permission' to be the way you are, and to follow your path, rather than the one your folks have set for you.)

I wish you well.

It's strange that I came upon this topic...or maybe it's not. Maybe it's just fate.

I have been feeling, amongst other things, lost at what to do in life. I don't have a Leo Ascendant (Mine is Gemini), but I do have my MC/10th House in Aries.

I've actually been feeling really, really bad and lost for the last few years. It's up and down, but mainly down (I'm probably miserable or close to misery 90-95% of the time). However, it's probably been most prominent at the moment, in the last few weeks and months leading up to today. So I was kind of wondering...is this because of something to do with the stars, or is it just my life?

I have more questions, but too many for this topic. I think I would like to get my birth chart looked at by a really professional astrologer with a good reputation, an astrologer who is really thorough in their analysis of the birth chart. I may have to post another topic about this, for now I'm going to bed.

...and I thought it was just me...
(Leo Asc/Aries MC)

Important to consider other transits to our natal Mars', which rules our MC's. Are any transiting from within the depresso houses? Uranus and Pluto have recently been engaging in a little assault and battery on my natal Mars 0' Cancer, moony ruler of my 12th. I don't want to leave the house lately. But natal Mars retro turns inward naturally, also this Mars retro transit recently conjuncted my natal Pluto in 2nd, and I've been able to make a few bucks doing on-the-down-low work from home kind of private investigating.

Have a look through our recommendations forum

With Aries MC, transiting libra will be opposing that and asking you to put more effort and hard work into 3rd and 4th house matters.... T Saturn opp sun can drain your energies, create self doubt

Astrology can explain lots of things, especially regarding your personality, traits etc but it's entirely upto YOU to make changes in your life, you are the captin of your ship no-one else. Knowing astrology is not going to change you or do this for you! We all have to go through rough transits, to learn and to grow as a person, so in that regard you are no different...

It's always worth posting your natal, progressions AND transits [for me at least], as this give us a much fuller picture to work with - found in Extended chart selection on astro. I reduce the orb ratio to 85%

I'm 24, so I'm not having a mid life crisis lol. I'm turning 25 in January, so I be having a mid twenties crisis, although I've probably been having that since 21 onwards.

And thanks, I'll check out the recommendations section

Saturn in Libra is near or into 4th in our charts. No one wants to leave the couch. Too much to fear out in the world. Better the devil you know than the devil you don't?
We'll get over it soon enough. Hang tough, G's...

I have 29 Cancer Asc with Aries MC.

I spent years trying to determine what my next career should be. In 2007 I was all set, financially and psychologically, to make the big move, but then then the sky fell. Now it appears that all my thinking has been undone by the economic and political chaos these last four years.

What really makes me freeze up is that I've had really bad luck in everything I've done during this time frame. I've lost all my appetite for taking chances. All I have to do is lay low for another 4 years. It's only 8 lost years I can't get back. It could be worse.

I was thinking Pluto in 6th house may be the biggest trouble maker here. Yet it seems that the other outer planets, like Neptune, are working in concert as well. The timing of all these stressful alignments from the outer planets is incredible and completely overwhelming.

Mine too, but it rues my 1st. Having it in the 12th can make one withdraw under stress. In 12th/cancer, the withdrawal will most likely be at home.

with aries on mc, we are best suited for positions that require self interest and self motivation. Sad, unsunny leo's when we're not happy and fulfilled. Throw in Saturn and Uranus and Pluto ~ all heading for a showdown with MC via the house that our natal mars occupies. my mars is in 11th, but 3 degrees from 12th. I usually first go into some kind of shut down mode when mc is aspected, then a*ss kickin' mode follows. natal mars retro.

Like being Self Employed? I've been considering doing a couple of jobs in which I would be my own boss (which would be just how I like it ;)). Whether that's to do with an Aries MC I'm not sure. Either way, I prefer not to work under a 'boss', especially if the boss is a **** fool...

well, think about leo and aries. neither likes told being what to do. it seems natural in maturity that top-down authority would be bristled at. i feel pretty certain that i won't work for anyone else again. i know i'm over it. creative action is our particular calling.

Ah yes... but how do we make money off our creativity? This is what's puzzling me

It's interesting I came upon this thread. I always thought I was just a lazy Libra, but maybe it's the Leo :pinched:

Hello People:

I am a Leo rising with Aries Midheaven. I am certainly NOT a spokesman for every Leo rising person, but with transiting Uranus in Aries in effect for the next couple of years, I think that you LEO/ARIES MC folk will need to re-invent, yourselves, and also, take a good look in the mirror...

The time for b*llsh*t is OVER, people ! It is time to pay the piper and look that grim b*stard Saturn square in the eye...

If Saturn gets in my way, better watch out, 'cause he better NOT mess around with the RJ... LOL

Self-employment is NOT ALWAYS an option or the 'quick fix' for ALL Aries Midheaven people. For example, if you have lousy credit or bad credit, then who the h*ll do you think is going to loan you money for your small business... Not me, that's for sure....

The best way to resolve this issue is to critically examine where the natal SUN (ruler of the 1st house) and MARS (ruler of the career 10th house) reside in your own natal charts...

Astrology ALWAYS WORKS through critical analysis, not through anecdotal evidence, hearsay or gossip...

I have natal Mars in the 9th house, in Aries. Mars likes Aries, cause it's in its own sign.

Aries is a sign of self-employment. Thus, I have run a successful business for nearly 17 straight years...related to sports and recreation...

I am very good at what I do, among the best in the country...

I have also worked in the transportation business for nearly 20 years (Mars in the natal 9th house). I have logged over 1 million miles on the road...

That does not mean that YOU, the Aries midheaven gal or guy, will be successful in self-employment or transportation... Self-employment requires a certain amount of self-enterprise, discipline, 'b*lls', computer skills...advertising skills, media skills, etc.

I have natal Sun in the 11th house... I have been active in community groups and volunteering since I was 6 years old..

I am also an expert at fundraising and organizing events...I have many connections...

Working for others is inevitable, but the Leo/Aries person needs freedom of mobility.

If laziness creeps in, then the following saying takes effect:

"He who attempts to spit on the ceiling...is likely to get soaking wet ! "

- Oriental proverb

best regards,

R.J. smith

Janus and MaeMae, I totally agree with you.

RJ, it sounds like you are confident in your current position and not really confused about the next step. Everyone else in this category seem to have mentally abandoned their previous ambitions and are confused about where they belong next.

I always thought I was just a lazy Libra, but maybe it's the Leo :pinched:

No, Libra is very lazy at times. Libra is more than willing to drop everything to socialize and enjoy the moment. Leo is about laboring to get other people to do work for you. With aries there is and attitude that, "I should do it because I'm the only one that can do it right."

I'm more willing to drop everything to play games and have fun!

But I have both of those energies in me, trying to get others to do work for me, while simultaneously complaining that I'm the only one who can do it right
