'Far too many people make the mistake of assuming the process of spiritual development to be one of 'sweetness and light', a misconception fostered primarily by Christianity. THE TOWER points out that inner growth must be a painful and overwhelming process. Nature is not always kind to us. Once we invoke the inner forces we soon discover that what we get is what we need, and that is not always what we want. Most of all, it is often not what we expect.'

I very much agree with the above statement.

In the same wavelength and in that context, someone once told me that 'A weed is a treasure'. And I can attest to that, too.

The Hierophant shall be the next.

Hmm, my love life is always a bit Plutonian, and I came to this thread with a general question about this, seeking some advice!

Interesting that the Lovers (6) comes after the Heirophant (5). Perhaps this is just what is happening for me at the moment. I like Aeclectic Tarot's version of the Lovers. The card appearing could be an indication of finding the soul mate.
Seeing her, he feels as though he's just been shot in the heart with cupid's arrow, so shocking, so painful is his "recognition" of her. ...... like finding a missing part of himself, a part he's been searching for his life long. It is clear that she feels the same about him. They finish each others sentences, think the same thoughts.
I replace the 'her' with a 'him'.

The description describes a soul mate. This card is perhaps asking me to recognise this, and look beyond the surface of my own insecurities that usually come up in these situations. To recognise that I'm with my soul mate, and whatever happens, that will always remain. The insecurities that come up are also lessons for each of us to learn with each other.

The Lovers also indicates I have a decision to make regarding this. I have to take the step, take the plunge and trust that the path I follow with this fellow will be the right path, wherever it leads.

The Hanged Man

The hanged man symbolic of all gods who die on the cross, odhin, jesus..

Symbolic of giving of your physical form to the eternal intelligence, the mystery of life.. The whole idea behind the tarot is summed up in this card, The lessons of life.

Self sacrifice to lead you to becoming one with the universe. This card is the most esoteric in symbolism, Giving of yourself, to become all knowing.

I see your hanged man, and give you death.

The Crowley death card, Crowley has a unique language to me. I couldn't resist another peak at this thread today. With the transits I have coming up, Saturn to my Pluto to start it all off, Death is quite appropriate.

At the moment I feel like the hanged man, they are kind of similar cards in a way. Alot to do with self sacrifice in order to make a change in the life.

Death, to me, is showing me there is transformation occuring, the seeds are being planted now. I realise alot of aspects in my life are not leading me to where I want to be, wherever that is... I feel alot is going to change in the next year for me. Saturn conjunct to my Pluto will begin the process, maybe triggered by an eclipse square to the Pluto this summer. Alot of things in my life to be released, alot of philosophies, dreams, ideals (Pluto in my 9th / Death card), and this will and has to happen. Its only when we hold on that things get really painful. Then the Tower comes up! With the Death card, as well as with Pluto, its best to go with the flow of what is happening, because it will happen anyway. Things to be released, for new things to grow. I am used to change (Sun square Uranus, Moon trine Uranus natally), the Death card signals necessary change. It also shows significant life points, the times in our lives that we remember as something important. Evolution.

It seems that I made the full trip, from the 6 of Pentacles, to the Page of Swords and through the Tower, for finishing back into the Realm of Beauty and Balance, of Consciousness and Devotion, of the Sun. I had to learn generosity, to face my insecurities, to recognise the treasures hidden in the adversities for allowing myself spiritual renewal before I declare myself armed with courage to start anew.

The Knight of Wands is the Air in Fire, he is a storm of heat, he is energy, creativity, impulsiveness, Passion, he is the force pulling you into the future.
He can be a trickster too, an abuser of the powers of the mind, capable of impatience, of violence, of destruction.

A symbol of departure, of journey, of absence; a symbol of change in residence. I will take it as a good sign then. :)

We are just before the Summer Solstice: the next to open will have the pleasure to face The Sun.

the sun card,

this card sums up everything it is, to live in a physical world.
the duality of existance, protected by the dragon, holding the sun and the astrological wheel on its back akin to atlas.

The divine spark that inspires all men to create and build, the energy the lighting of the god to manifest things into existence.

I see you're card...

And raise you...

temperance.

This card earlier, applies very well to my day and weekend. Thanks Niplan even though you are no longer at the forum.

I've had Mars opposition my Moon this weekend, as well as Chiron conjuncting progressed Sun/Lilith. Been through the ringer this weekend, now on Sunday evening a sense of calmness has returned. Temperance sums that up nicely. This card seems to appear in my spreads when there is apparent chaos all around me. Its a sign to try and find a balance with all that is going on. To blend the oppositions around, and find a middle ground. Almost like, sitting in the middle of a hurricane cross legged, closed eyed and just breathing in, absorbing the energy but not letting it take over you.

Temperance is also known as Alchemy in the Thoth deck, the blender of base metals to form a gold. To take the ordinary things that are happening all around, absorb and make it into something valuable to the soul. Its also ruled by Sagitarius, the teacher, philosopher, the sign of learning and the higher mind. To learn also from what is happeneing, which is valuable indeed, a gold for the soul.

Next card (which I got before in this thread funny enough)

Page of swords

I'm needing alot of advice lately! Came here again to find Strength.

Still alot of chaos going on around me in my life at the moment, maybe being triggered by this upcoming lunar/solar eclipse. Still chaotic, the Strength card often comes up in times of chaos, when I tend to give in to my more impulsive nature! Sometimes situations occur that I have to use my assert my will, to get my message across, at least this is what I feel is the best at the time, and this time. Strength is reminding me of my inner strength. I have reacted to a situation to which I thought was very inhumane, and I reacted with my own hot passions very impuslively - Strength says to me I will need my inner strength to get through this situation, and maybe I need to control my passions a bit. It could also show I am using to my will over the situation.

Next card: the High Priestess

Well, well well -

The High Priestess seems to be about the flow of life which is beyond the realms of the conscious mind. The answers lie in that which is hidden and not conscious.

This certainly makes sense to me. I have only realised in past 24 hours that healing remedies I have been using over the past few months have been for the purpose of healing my son - who shares my house. I have been wondering why I was not receiving much benefit from them. Fact is, I have not needed them, but he has.

Ok the last post here left the LOVERS, but when I posted my reply, their post disappeared, but Im still going with THE LOVERS.
This card was quite fitting for me....as my question was about romance and lack of...and whether I would find someone special soon. I know the card had other meanings such as decisions to be made or even a third party in the picture....but my question is based on love and maybe this card is saying to me that the universe hasnt forgotten my wishes...............

my card is

Hmm thats a nice one! Twice now I've got that... love the way the tarot can be so straightforward

Same description applies, things are ending to make way for new things. This occurs just at the lunar eclipse 1st/7th house axis, followed by solar eclipse also aspecting natal planets. Its always a bit sad when things end, but its also a release, and whatever it is that is ending, is meant to end just at this time. Everything changes, and endings are changes, transformations. Letting go is difficult when we hold on, just through the desires of the ego feeling that it owns anything... then true healing comes, Pluto the ruler of the Death card, when the desires of the ego are released, and true compassion comes. Lyrics from a David Bowie song remind me of the Death card, and releasing the ego's wants:

"Don't believe in yourself
Don't deceive with belief
Knowledge comes
with death's release"

Ok next card up:

2 of swords

2 of Swords, this is a good thing for me to consider. It might just be a nice idea to look at the ways in which my Ego gets in the way of what I truly want, which is freedom from the repressive demands of the Ego. Kind of funny how that works, isn't it?

So with that said, I pick up this card:

cups-9.jpg

This card is said to bring contentment and satisfaction in romance, friendship, or other relationships. Achieving your deepest desires and savoring beauty and sensual pleasures. A state of joy and abundance radiating fulfillment and bliss.

'This card reflects happiness which is either health, finances, work, luck, love or relationship. Your desires will be fulfilled, and this fulfilment will bring with it much satisfaction and contentment. This is the traditional wish card, so whatever the querent desires here can be theirs -- however, everything does come with a price, and they should be careful what they wish for because they are likely to receive it!'

The next card is THE CHARIOT

This card was meant for me, I saw it yesterday at work, still here today.

7 of wands shows me there is a challenge going on for me at the moment, I cant lay back and enjoy the seeds of sucess just now, I have to use some sort of creative effort to maintain my position. There can be competition, or challenge posed by other people which means I have to be on the ball, aware of my motivations to ensure I stay on the path (if I'm meant to be on this particular path). It can indicate a time of change in a mundane sense, in that things are being challenge, the energies are up which can be indicative of change. I have to stand up for what I believe in.

Next card:

King of Pentacles

Eight of pentacles, shows me that I need to concentrate on the work that I'm doing. It relates to mundane work, the work that we can give to serve the community. So this doesnt include my yoga teaching studies as I'm not teaching anyone yet. But I'm concentrating on the small details. In the card, the man has isolated himself from the town in the background, which is what I'm doing socially, spending much of my time studying a bit like a hermit. I'm hoping that it means also that my job will continue until the late autumn, until I go travelling, its a positive card to have in a job question.

I saw the 3 of Wands and thought it was for me, but did not make on time to answer: during the weekend I have been thinking about how, in defending my work against a collaborator not in my specialisation who wrongly accused me of having made mistakes and absurdly demanded my explanations immediately without even being my superior, I came through at the end as 'unnecessarily rough' on him and not collaborative. I have clearly spent so much energy on the shadow side of the 3 of Wands, exploring the limits of rudeness, of insolence, of defensiveness...

Forgetting in the meantime that the 3 of Wands has a light side, the drive of creativity, the sparkle for new collaborations, the confidence in the harmony of virtue. Actually, this is where I should turn my attention, as I am currently discussing the possibility for a job opportunity which fits exactly my skills and experiences, matches my interests and means a brand new beginning for me.

So the FOOL came now from EJ to remind me the light side of the 3 of wands, to put me back on the right track, of where I should focus my energy and remind me I should think positive and save energy for positive scopes: The Fool is the Air, the Joy of a child starting down a new Path with all its enthusiasm and positiveness and trust that the path will turn out right, a card of self confidence, not that much thought-out but more a trust in your instincts and your strengths. Thank you, EJ :)

The PAGE OF CUPS follows.

I asked about healing:

I received the Hermit:

the_hermit_tarot_card_keychain-p146920013224170951qjfk_400.jpg

After a long and busy lifetime, building, creating, loving, hating, fighting, compromising, failing, succeeding, the Fool feels a profound need to retreat. In a small, rustic home deep in the woods, he hides, reading, cleaning, organizing, resting or just thinking. But every night at dusk he heads out, traveling across the bare, autumnal landscape. He carries only a staff and a lantern.

Please see the rest at this website for more vital information if you are concerned about healing! I know I am.
