I'm gonna do this quite easily waybread. You asked me to show a lot of stuff and you have now pretty much refused to answer me.

Ok show me a socialist reform and how it benefited the economy of a given country?

I did this for you, so I expect you'll be able to do the same. Cheers!

There's no point in arguing with Waybread. She's utterly illogical. That's not meant as an insult; it's a fact.

Oh I know but I really don't care.

Her inability to answer just shows how weak her position is, which in the end is the purpose of this banter.

She tries to hide this with massive walls of text and links to news articles - but in the end she just circles around without answering any question.

I know right; it's pretty hilarious.

It must be so hard being on the left. You constantly have to dance around the truth and project a sense of superiority that hopelessly lacks on the inside.

No No No honey.

You asked me to prove to you the benefits of a liberalised economy(twice).

As you requested I did. I showed you graphs and economic data, on two examples.

And you can't even come up with a rebuttal? you simply link to an article on "income inequality" (which by the way is wrong)

I'm sorry but that is embarrasing on your behalf waybread.

Dirius, Sweetie, you will have noticed that forms of endearment intended to be pejorative are not used on this forum, even where the debate becomes heated.

Darling, where did I ask you to prove "the benefits of a liberalized economy?" Nowhere.

Sweetheart, your graphs are too simplistic to give a full picture. I gave you the opportunity to read some infill, which I don't think you did on such short notice. At least you couldn't have thought seriously about it. But then right-wing ideology tends to be simplistic.

Probably why intellectuals tend to be liberal.

And the irony is they have NO data or numbers to back up their economic system :whistling::whistling:

You see this is the problem with you waybread.

You dared me to show you evidence twice, and I did. I expected you to prove me wrong. Or at least try.

You dropped the subject completely, because you can't respond to actual facts.

Au contraire, mon ami. I answer your questions. I give you information to help you up your game. I play with one hand tied behind my back to make things easier for you.

Sadly, you still don't understand what I write.

Of course they don't! You have to be deliberately ignorant to history, and ultimately the truth, to actually prefer socialism over the free market.

That is because most of them, have usually worked for the government most of their lives. On a nice and comfy tax-payer funded salary.

They defend the system which benefits them, at the expense of someone else's labour.

No you didn't. You didn't answer a thing. You posted a link - which shows your lack of knowledge in economics.

Give me an example of a succesful socialist reform and how it benefited the economy of a country.

Of course they do because they are evil. Their jobs are so artificial and fake. They would be so lost in the free market.

I could quote you 100 hundred studies on Argentina's economy.

But for what? you can't even answer the data I showed you on two other countries.

At this point you are just denying facts, because you can't answer them.

Dirius, your form of debate fallacy is called a red herring. It's a form of distraction. ("Hey! Look over there!")

The last I checked, this was a thread about how to handle discussions about Black Lives Matter, not whatever digression you feel like bringing up about the economy of New Zealand or some such.

I pay far more income tax than I care to mention. In Canada, however, we normally feel we get value in exchange, like a country that runs reasonably well, public education for all, and a respectable health care system.

But by all means, cite any of those articles on Argentina's economy that are written in English. I would read some of them.

I'm still waiting for your rebuttal on my examples, or for an example of your own on a succesfull socialist reform.
