I must say that I have come to respect the sign Pisces. I used to think that it was a dumb sign. After all, every single Pisces i knew in the past was failing at school, terrible at sports, in la la land, and play dumb a lot.

BUT...

Through my own 12th house experiences and lessons, ive come to understand just how smart this sign is. Here i was thinking that this pisces doesnt know how to stand up for themselves or they are aloof. But i have finally learnt that those techniques to seem deluded in the face of confrontation or conflict is the best defense mechanism there is. You cant control other ppl. You cant change them. Pisces simply deludes as a disguise and distraction and then succeeds once the enemy is gone. Then, whenever they can, they try their best to create an emotionally fulfilling and supportive environment to overcome the negativity. There are so many situations where an honest libra gets into strife because of those ppl who simply dont want to hear the truth and think they are the only one right. the same with analytical virgo. Mercury is ruled by virgo yet being logical isnt always what ppl want to hear, especially when dealing with a narcopath. Pisces always know how to peacefully get out of harms way.

I agree. Pisces is definitely not dumb, in fact I like this sign very much. A lot of famous people who achieved amazing things fall under this sign. The vast majority of Pisceans I've met in my life are rather gentle, giving and selfless, including my own mum, and intuitive to boot. They are actually the corporeal version of what most closely resembles unconditional love and being selfless without asking for much in return, which is quite refreshing. A lot of people do good deeds with strings attached. However, this also makes me worry about them a bit and feel bad for them, because some people can really take advantage of that.

I have a specific story of such a case. There was this Pisces girl who was friends with a Sagittarian who needed to have her furniture moved into her new home, but for some reason her partner wasn't allowing it, so the Pisces kindly allowed her to park the furniture in her own garage for "as long as you'd like". She probably shouldn't have said that, because the Sagittarian took that literally and ended up keeping her furniture in the garage for a whole year rent free, which started irritating the Piscean, but she was just too gentle to be able to tell her off. Even the times when she'd call her and ask when she was going to collect her furniture, the Sag would cry on the phone and say she wasn't allowed to cause her boyfriend didn't want it in their apartment, so poor Pisces had to grin and bear it.

Luckily she had a Capricorn friend who was living with her who started to dislike the Sag for her own reasons. After a year of this, Cap sent the Saggittarius girl a severe message telling her to get her stuff out of the garage, and if she didn't do that by the end of the week, they'd place it out on the nature strip for anyone to take freely. Suddenly the Sag found she COULD collect it and organised a furniture removal specialist to get her stuff collected. I do like Sagittarius, but I found that there's a specific type that manifests Jupiter's expansive energy in the sense that they keep pushing further and further with people and they really don't recognise when enough is enough.

Sometimes other people around Pisceans end up having to act as fortifiers on Pisces' behalf. However, Pisces does have subtle and clever ways of trying to preserve their own energy. I knew one who is a tarot reader, and if there were certain customers who were overbearing and pushy, she'd put a timer limit on the reading session so that she wouldn't get too overwhelmed by them, but she didn't do that with every customer.

YES!! So true. I can relate to this. Being a 12th house person and my mum and son having capricorn traits, i find they both stand up for me. theyre really good. when i do what they do ppl laugh at me. when they do it ppl shut up for good. amazing.

Also, i notice that mercury is in fall in pisces. but this is not a bad thing at all. it simply means the person does not use the logical, strategic, analytical traits of virgo, and often times i find it more beneficial. Every sign has a weak spot.

I'm a pisces and I don't think pisces is a bad sign to have.
Like the person above pointed out, some of the most successful people out there, were born under this sign like George Washington, Albert Einstein, Steve Jobs, Rihanna, Drew barrymore (the last two people are entrepreneurs in addition to being an actor/musician), Bernard Arnault, Sarah Blakely to name a few (and a lot of other musicians, actors and other types of artists thanks to pisces' artistry).
I'd say, why always focus on your weaknesses instead of the strengths? A lot of your traits can actually be great when you learn to use it to your advantage. And I don't think vulnerability is a sign of weakness but that of strength. Unfortunately, most of the world thinks differently and kind and altruistic people(many pisces)need to develop more assertiveness and discernment to avoid being taken advantage of.
Pisces is also one of the most creative and adaptable signs with a rich imagination endowed to us by the expansive Jupiter and Neptune. Our imagination is like no other and the possibilities which we can see are endless, which is why a lot of pisces do well in creative professions. Albert Einstein once said 'Imagination is more important than Knowledge' and I think he couldn't have been more right.
The mutable quality of Pisces can also be an advantage as it helps us adapt to any situation easily and take on multiple personas, making us almost chameleon like.(science tells us that adaptability is key to survival)
We are also gentle, empathetic, selfless, non-judgmental, and have a great capacity for unconditional love, which makes us good partners, friends and great at interpersonal relationships.
So yes, I have pointed out a few of the good qualities. You should use the good traits to your advantage and work on the weaker areas and improve them.
For me, personally, one downside of being a pisces is that it makes me indecisive and that's something I've been working on changing. So yeah!
I read somewhere that astrology shows us our potential, not what we are or what we become, only we can decide that.

I hope I contributed something.
-from a pisces with a virgo rising which makes me feel bipolar sometimes lol.

Lol about the last sentence. I can relate. My asc is scorpio and my mars is in virgo and my pluto is in 12th house with saturn and the sun. I feel torn between pisces and virgo energies all the time. that's why i turn to astrology and tarot for advice. sometimes the advice leans towards virgo, sometimes pisces.

It is true that the world see things differently. In particular I notice that these days the norm is to go fast and be busy. But for me that's exactly what makes me put on weight rapidly. If i slow things down, my health is much better. but that's almost impossible in a world where there's pressure everywhere. i was thinking about the pressure just today. with my son's food allergies, the pressure from others to get him to eat the junk most ppl eat. with kids in general these days, theres pressure for them to have all kinds of therapies, and if you as a parent do not do it, you can be reported to child services. then there's the pressures of mum's working as well. Ahhh i could list so many. Ima do my best to slow things down. it would definitely soothe the anger i see around these days.

Coming from a Piscean, we do tend to tolerate too much until we've had enough or face too many obstacles - then we become hysterical and can't control ourself - that's the part when you better run.

It's like complete opposite of Virgo - instead of being stable, patient and assertive, and turning around when we should, we accumulate all the unfairness and when our tank is full, we unleash it in order to survive.

It's all or nothing, baby!

But I think their/our biggest qualities are empathy and tendency to help others. And our biggest disadvantage - we rely too much on people we help(ed)

Pisces is quite warm-hearted. They can be crazy inside.

But usually they are well-feeling. They are never odd.

But Virgo are sometimes odd.

Laugh, therefore, see Pisces as good-hearted person, who likes to help others.

They feel good when you think that.

That's because pisces and 12th house peaople assume that other ppl have a good heart just like they do. So they give ppl lots of chances in hope they will learn. Eventually those ppl dont change and then pisces finds other strategies to get away.

I have had a VERY different experience with Pisces...

My mother is a Pisces, and my father has a Pisces moon, and I have never seen such emotionally immature and selfish people in my life. My mom had six of us kids, and has never been interested in nor able to meet our emotional needs AT ALL -- if we even try to point out that WE have feelings, not just HER, she dissolves into puddles of self-pitying tears and makes us sorry to even bring it up. As the oldest, I have had to provide the emotional support for my siblings through most of their lives, and NEVER got any for myself. I even went through a counseling program about "Re-Parenting" myself, so I could give myself what was so lacking in my parents.

She of course has other placements, and the aspects I'm sure have a huge part in how the Pisces energy manifests for her, but I have noticed the trend in other people with Pisces in a strong placement in their charts (Sun, Moon, AS)....it makes me wonder how OTHERS perceive those Pisces who have posted in this thread....do any of you notice how you feel towards the emotions of OTHERS?

I'm an Aquarius sun/moon with my former special ed school teacher turned to family friend a Pisces and also her husband is a Pisces sun (in sidereal, they're Aquarians like I am in both sidereal and tropical). They were born in 1963: she born in March, he born in Feb. However, they are very busy and Pisceans have a reputation for their workaholic lives, I wish to spend more time with them.
