Ascendant = Planet Earth ?

False. The earth in our normal geocentric horoscopes is where you stand. Think of it as the AC/DC axis, or even the entire lower hemisphere of the chart. The earth isn't somehow up in the sky from your viewpoint. The rising sign is the sign that would appear to be rising in the east at the moment of your birth. If any planets were located in these signs, then they would rise with this sign, as well.

Hi. The glyph for the Earth is a circle with a cross inside it. In a geocentric chart, the observer is at the centre where the horizon and meridian axes meet to form a cross. The Earth itself would be a small circle around that centre.

The axes show the orientation of earth and sky, as 'seen' from the observer's location. Thus in one sense the first six houses represent the earth, and the ic represents the centre of planet Earth (as an approximation of the nadir).

But the asc is sometimes described as the point of ongoing 'incarnation', moment by moment, of the self into the 'world'.

Hi. Yes, which is a bit confusing. Often the Part of Fortune glyph is drawn with the cross not touching the circle circumference. The Part of Fortune is of course intimately associated with the asc. Its relationship with the asc mirrors the relationship between the Sun and Moon.

I read from here:

http://www.librarising.com/astrology/misc/planetearth.html

That ASC is actually the planet earth that we live on.

So ASC is actually a planet, instead of a point like MC.

What do you think on this idea? True?
Although 'the Ascendant is not a planet'
visual 'space-time reality' from a Geocentric natal chart's perspective
requires planet Earth

i.e.

The 'Geocentric Ascendant' may only be demarcated by standing on planet Earth and looking East
to the place of the rising Sun

The 'Geocentric Descendant'
may only be demarcated by standing on planet Earth and looking immediately opposite to the West
to the place of the setting sun

by the way
the curve of Earth's surface
and therefore the entirety of planet Earth
is a necessary component
in order to demarcate the Ascendant
and
illustrate on the natal chart the place at which 'Sun rises and Sun sets'

Look at the circular geocentric horoscope chart.

Where is the Earth in that chart??

Hint: It is not at the Ascendant. But it does have a definite location in the chart; you can point to it.

The whole sphere (the circular horoscope chart) is the earth I suppose.
The outer circle of the horoscope chart is a 2-dimensional illustration of the APPARENT PATH OF THE SUN
'apparent path of the sun' because
Earth orbits the Sun
BUT
circular horoscope chart illustrates AS IF SUN ORBITS EARTH
i.e.
A GEOCENTRIC PERSPECTIVE

i.e.

Geo = Earth
Centric = Center

'....Greek kentrikos of the center, from kentron

As a prefix: geo- is taken from the Greek word γη or γαια meaning "earth"
usually in the sense of "ground or land".
Geo- is thus a prefix for many words dealing in some way with the earth,
including:
geo-, geography, geology, geopolitics, or geothermal Wiktionary, the free dictionary.....'

What is the horoscope chart?
A map of the heavens.

From what perspective is the map drawn?
The Earth's p-erspective. It is a map of the heavens as seen from Earth. It is geocentric.

Therefore
Earth is at the CENTER of the horoscope chart. It is GEO - CENTRIC.
If Earth is at the center of the chart, then it cannot be at the Ascendant.
What is AT CENTER in any affair is Most Important. All else revolves around it.

Earth is YOU [It is whatever is the "present center of attention." For example, in a horary chart, it is The Question.]
The map is drawn with YOU AT THE CENTER OF THE UNIVERSE
Which is an actual fact. See Brian Greene's The Elegant Universe.
If the universe evolved from a Big Bang, a radiation from a singularity, then all parts of the universe are one and all are at the center. You are the center of the universe objectively and subjectively.

If Earth is You, and Earth is at the Center of Heaven....
Then you are smack dab in the middle of Heaven and don't know it.
There is no need to die to go to Heaven; you're already here.
You need not become perfect, nor meet any particular standards of behavior. There are no conditions. You are in Heaven. All you must do is see, become conscious.
