I don’t quite get the nodes in synastry.
For example:
I have node square his venus and he has node square my mars.
Does this mean that relationship is not meant to last- that it’s only purpouse is growth?

hi Ori

these placemnts are favorable for looking further into a relationship as it shows he is very responsive to you emotionally and like wise his presence has favorable affect on you. this is not about some undefined future growth ,but he immediate emotional/mental interactions right now.
you might post a midpoint composite to see if a serious relationship is possible or probable.
