Love how you assume that child poverty is a problem. What about all the other problems in the world?
Love how you assume welfare is the solution. What about charity? What about businesses providing jobs?

Not to mention poverty is a rather undefined term. Where is the line that distinguishes poverty and prosperity?

AppLeo is on record as being okay with children not having enough to eat, a place to live, or even shoes on their feet.

I, for one, disagree, but we're each entitled to our own opinion.

Lol the deliberate dishonesty to paint me as a bad guy

Hey, it was New Zealand that decided it needed a welfare system. Argue with New Zealand about it.

Fire deparments and courts have existed at least since Greco-Roman times.

What data suggests these social benefits were beneficial to society?

So, the Greek and Roman economies included some socialism.

What data suggests these social benefits weren't beneficial?

Building Code regulations
Speed limits
Traffic signs
Armed forces for defending the nation

They actually were.

They did have the first form of welfare system known in history, in the form of grain for the poorest citizens.

Dunno you think armed forces are ok? You believe the armed forces have been used for good? Its your statement, you have to explain and provide the data of why they are beneficial.

Wait--you're in favor of dismantling the U.S. Military!!!?

[Fake News Alert:]

Osa's aunt was NOT seen marching in a BLM protest carrying a "Never Trump" placard. I repeat, Osa's aunt WAS NOT seen doing this, nor is there even a shred of evidence that she has ever been a supporter of BLM!

BAHAHAH
virtue just means moral behavior. in the dictionary. that doesn't answer anything. Goodness is highly dependent on the persons idea of goodness.

What is moral behavior waybread? What is a virtue? What is a vice? You actually have to think for this

Well, I have to think that you're attempting to use a stiflingly self-righteous hijack of this thread to flog your same old tired Ayn Rand ideologies.

Not interested in your repetitious narcissistic ideology, which you sneak in at any opportunity for digression.

Focus on the thread topic, AL. Focus.

Oh I see.

Well why don't you explain to us why it doesn't scratch the surface of the issue they purported to describe then?

No my honor thesis was on fiscal policy and inflation cycles related to debt applied to Argentina and Uruguay. I don't think you would understand much of it.

If it's in Spanish, you're right. I wouldn't.

Here's one you'll probably have research in order to attempt to prove it's incorrect:
In 1973, the Trumps, Donald included, were charged in court with housing discrimination based on race and ethnicity. They fought the charges for 2 years, spending $$$millions attempting to beat the rap. They lost.

Not to mention that the courts found Trump guilty of fraud with his bogus Trump University and charity.

Not to mention that he is in debt to Russian mobsters. Investigative journalists have followed this trail.

Not to mention that the state of NY has charged him with cooking his books for tax fraud purposes. They have the paper trail.

But my, oh, my, you conservatives out there, you do love to talk a virtuous blue streak regarding your hero Donald Trump.

and you put virtues in quotes

independence. isn't a virtue?
honesty isn't a virtue?

What even is virtue to you waybread? Lol do I even dare ask?

Greed is a vice. Everyone knows that. It's even listed as one of the Seven Deadly Sins.

You can approve of a vice, if you like, but it's still a vice, not a virtue.

So, how's Osa's aunt reacting to Kamala's candidacy? Anything new?

Glad you asked!

No reaction at all to Kamala on her Facebook page, at least not that I noticed. Not much politics lately, mostly just sappy quotes, including a few religious ones.

But I was scrolling through today and saw that she'd recently posted a photo of the Trump family (Donald, Melania, and Baron) with the caption, "Do you still support us?"

I couldn't resist. I posted, "No, and I never did!"

Careful! She might be a secret QAnon agent!
