Pali = “non-self”
or
“substanceless”

Sanskrit = anatman

in Buddhism, the doctrine that
there is in humans no permanent, underlying substance that can be called the soul.
Instead, the individual is compounded of five factors

Pali = khandha
Sanskrit = skandha

that are constantly changing :smile:

Death being ones Moksha came from Shakyamuni Buddha, I think. Always thought it was an interesting stand point - the most logical one one could apply to the world as it is.

Anatta is also interesting. Another meme for the thread!

One wonders though: Was Shakyamuni wrong? How do "we", to "ourselves", explain the experiences of deep meditation? Complex delusions created by a powerful mind in a near dream-like state?

When death is upon us, we will know. Quite exciting, eh? :biggrin:
