Solar return

I had an horrible 2008: got divorced, moved to another country where I am completly isolated, had problems with my work etc. I am now looking to return to my city (looking for a job there) and for a new partner. I would really like to get married again and have children.

I have made my solar return for 2009, but the prospects of finding love or a new satisfying work look not so good to me (number of illusions and another break up in perspective). Do you have the same analysis or should I be more optimistic? Thank you very much for your advice.

I don't know what natal house is rising.
I do see a new moon which implies a new beginning and tends to be a positive indicator. 12th is the house of endings and also of breaking free of imprisonment an end to confinement . It is also your own undoing and things hidden to you. A new beginning there may imply breaking free of your confinement and a new state of mind.
Saturn and mercury in the first may show the seriousness of your mind this year.
Uranus is in your 7th and may imply an unexpected romance. I tend to find uranus placement spot on to where I can expect the unexpected:)
It appears to trine venus and the moon. I am not so sure but I think this spells romance and maybe some interesting times ahead. Interesting that Saturn opposes this Uranus at the 1/7 axis. You may not be receptive to a lover but I think you will have an unexpected relationship cropping up. It appears there are two conflicting energies going on one for change and the other for committment. Mutable signs on the angles spells for change. With the moons last major aspect a sextile to uranus and then to the north node in the 5th I think you may opt for the unexpected romantic relationship.
Work wise mercury rules your 10th and your mind and energy (mars in the 10th) will definitely be a focused on this as mercury is in your first. There is a conflict between the 10th house ruler and mars which rules the 8th of others resources. There maybe some difficulty. Mars rules aggression and young males. Possibly someone at work will cause you trouble or there will be some rather assertive communication going on. See how mars is opposte Pluto inidicating power struggles and a great amount of energy. With mercury in Virgo you will tend to be very detailed oriented this year. Mars in Gemini and the 10th in gemini may imply two bosses or two careers. Money from work is ruled by the 11th (2nd from the 10th) . The moon rules this and venus is there too. I think it is a postive indicator and creativity will be the key with the moon in the 5th.
Again your natal house rising is a key and any natal planets at the top of the chart near the MC plus conjunct solar planets or cusps (within a couple of degrees) can add to the story. Also repeat aspects such as if you have mars and pluto in trine in your natal chart an oppostion will not be as harsh. However if you have them in square this energy will be a chance for you to work with it again. It may have more negative consequences too.
Hope this helps and I do wish you the best. Oh yeah...look at your solar arcs and progresssions.

Oh yeah you asked about a move. Hmmm.
The 4th house represents where you are now and the 7th where you will remove too. I find it interesting that the two rulers are together in the 6th house. Uranus in the 7th might indicate a sudden move and the 6th might indicate a move in regards to work activity. Pluto in the 4th indicates a transformation of home. I am not sure, Archnee. They both trine mars the planet of action. it is possible. Interesting that they oppose the moon and sun new beginning. Maybe things will evolve differently than you expect.
Please keep us posted.

Dear cassanra,

Thank so much for your analysis! I feel a bit better now.

I was also concerned by the opposing interpretations regarding the new romance and the possibility of a new move. The aspects of Uranus are not so clear...

I also attach my natal chart, for info. I will spend more time comparing the solar return and natal charts.

Many thanks again.

Hi Cass, I think that you are mixing up with horary here again......

The 4th house represents where you are now and the 7th where you will remove too. I find it interesting that the two rulers are together in the 6th house. Uranus in the 7th might indicate a sudden move and the 6th might indicate a move in regards to work activity.

The 4th house is the house of family and early upbringing, family hierarchy and can show a parent and the 7th is the house of relationships, not (as correctly in horary) the next house. So Uranus in the 7th could mean a sudden relationship or a separation from a relationship, or a relationship where the partners allow each other a fair amount of freedom.

A Solar return can be looked at as if it were a natal chart. Look at the personal planets especially in your natal chart Arachnee. See in which houses they operate there and then see where these planets are situated in this years chart.
Lets say that in your natal chart Mars is in your 2nd, showing a lot of initiative to earn money (to keep it simple:)), but in the Solar Return chart, you see this Mars in the 7th. Than it could be that in this solar year, your initiative is pointed towards finding a partner instead of concentrating on your income.
I will post a link to the Solar Return basic interpretation in the Education Board so you can go step by step. Also the link Cassandra gave is nice.

Starlink, actually I was using the article as posted below for my reasoning
http://www.typhonvision.com/art-solarreturn.htm
3. The Solar Return is a horary chart, and can be interpreted without reference to the natal chart. Special attention must be paid to the aspects of the transiting Moon, since its last aspect before it changes signs determines the final outcome of all issues
Maybe I took too much liberty with this concept:)
But the idea did not come out of 'nowhere".

Welcome,

The natal chart you posted has disappeared and cannot be viewed, can you repost or do bi wheel from www.astro.com

Sun/moon in 12th suggests a deep need for some peace and quite and isolation to regain strength. Venus in 11th suggests getting pleasure from friendships, group activities etc.

The house in which the Sun falls in the SR chart is the birthday month's forecast and influence, and each house after is the following month, since the Sun transits at the rate of one sign or house per month. Each house is treated as events in that month, and the sign and planet ruling the cusp influences the outlook for that month. The chart is used like a clock, with 12 months on its face instead of 12 hours. As the Sun conjoins or aspects other planets in the SR, it will generate events

Regards getting married and having children we need to see the natal, progressed and poss solar arcs charts. You can always ask a 'horary' question in their GLounge for this...

Dear All,

Thanks so much for your comments. I posted a bi-wheel comparing my natal chart and my solar return for 2009 (one with natal inside and one with natal outside: which one is relevant?).

With Neptune in house VII, I can see that I will face illusions with love during this year. And the positions of Mars, Venus and the Moon do not seem to indicate an interesting romance...

Cassanra and starlink, with MC in house X, I am guessing that I will be lucky with work, right? And planets in house VI are in favor of a move to a new work it seems to me (?). Sorry I am really a beginner...

astrologer50, thanks so much for the links and for the advice. I really appreciate your comments.

Well done, and thanks for posting the charts.

Virgo rising generally signifies a year of learning and study. You may become interested in something new and want to learn all you can about it. You will approach your studies seriously and will want them to have a practical aim, such as developing and enhancing your career or training for a new one. It can also be a time when you actually change jobs and have to learn new skills and new ways of doing things. In some way you will be learning new things which affect your daily routines and work so that you have to learn to be more flexible.

You are likely to develop a more conscientious and responsible approach to life, gaining satisfaction from working hard and doing the right thing. You will get on with what has to be done, in a methodical and efficient way. It is a time of preparation and reorganising yourself for a new phase of life to come. Your self‑image is going through a period of change and you are learning skills that will help you to become more yourself.

Pluto in 4th can show transformations/relocations. Saturn conj mercury in 1st will knock your confidence and speech patterns whereas natally your mercury is conj mars in this SR your mercury is conj saturn as well as SR mercury. Plus natal mars is conj SR mercury. So with all this heavy saturn influence I feel it will be much more introspective time where paying attention to all these details will be important. It's nice your natal venus is rising, but as it square natal neptune typice 'rose tinted glasses' aspect. In this SR venus is in cancer in 11th showing where you will socialise and get pleasure from family (cancer) contacts and friendships..

T Saturn will still have one last go over your natal mars, which is in 2nd house of 'how you earn your money' which will cause some frustration so try not to push too hard at that time.:w00t:

You are also having a Jupiter return (this only happens every 12years) returning to it's natal position. This could be good for work opportunities and when it conj 7th house could open up oppt for romance too.

Your natal first house is being worked on this year, but instead of leo qualities it's Virgo qualities and 'being of service to people' and changing your 'image and presentation' to something more quieter. Also some health issues possible. Plus uranus in 7th dealing with the breakdown of a relationship, opposing Saturn in 1st, 'Freedom v convention' aspect.

Dear astrologer50,

Thanks so much for your analysis, and for being soft with me regarding the romance aspect (giving me some hope with the return of Jupiter in house 7 - after some time). I hope you are right regarding relocation.

I've also learned new interpretations and I am grateful to you for that. Thanks
