Can someone tell me which house rules a hormone specialist? I'm seeing one tomorrow and I want to see how it will go by looking at my diurnal. Thanks.

I know doctors are 7th house, but I see specialists different cos in my life I always have great experiences with specialists and terrible experiences with GP's.

A hormone specialist is by function a "consultant"; 7th house. He offers expert advice in a relationship of equals.

Astrology compresses the universe into a handful of symbols. It simplifies.

You wish to complicate, confuse.

If that's the case then I'd have to disagree. And as for GP's. I wouldn't call a gp an expert, that's why they're called a 'general' practitioner.

If I go to a chicken farmer, boots flecked with manure, bib overalls and floppy hat...and I consult with her on the best way to raise chickens...

Then she, in her immediate function as my consultant, is 7th house.

She may continue as my 11th house friend, my 5th house lover or neighbor in the 3rd. As a chicken farmer, I place her in the 6th.

But if my primary interest in her, in the context of the question, is as a consultant (I seek her expert advice), then she is 7th house. House assignment relies on Function.

If you are about to read a horary chart for a client and you find Saturn in the 7th, you might decline to read the chart, for the chart is saying that the astrologer is somehow disqualified. [deleted attacking comment - Moderator] But in the question clouded by Saturn in the 7th you are fulfilling that function.

In natal astrology I use Moon as principal symbol of "Mother." It doesn't matter if she is a good mother or a bad one, an expert mother or a novice. She functions as "Mother" and is represented by Moon, just as "consultants" fall into the 7th.

Ok so I'll use the 7th.
I did the blood test today. Any chance I can use astrology to find out if the blood test will show what I have? If so how?

Hi,
Just to confuse issues, I would place a medical specialist under Jupiter as the individual giving advice that goes further than generalised medicinal information. This could bring in Sagittarius?
O.T.O.H, many 'specialists' aren't medically trained; e.g. those offering a 'healing service' through means other than of the physical body itself.

Hormones regulate (im)balance within the physical body. They are usually given general rulership by Libra, although each hormone's 'function' can be given a planetary rulership.

In the medical astrology section Abby once provided her natal chart for 'weight issues'.
That chart now shows Jupiter in Sagittarius transiting her 1st house (physical body/constitution).
Mere co-incidence that it is now sextile natal 12th house Sun in Libra?

Jupiter reached its return (and square Venus - ruler Libra) end 2018. Other transits were activating the chart around the same period. A connection with all ?

Practical example:
Following a bi-annual check up in 2nd week April, with Tr. Jupiter in 4th house forming and retrograding upon an exact degree opposition to his natal Saturn on 24+degrees Gemini, my husband developed pain 'under' a tooth. He complained to his dental hygiënist in May, who merely gave him a prescription for specific pain killers. He was dissatisfied and sought a second opinion from my dentist. Photos showed 'deep root canal' issues ( 4th house???) that he was not qualified to do. He was forwarded to a specialised dental practice, who still couldn't take action because it involved dental hospital surgery.
There was a waiting list and even with priority, it was 25th June (a cancellation?) before he underwent the operative surgery. Tr. Jupiter retrograde had trined his 12th house Jupiter on 18 degrees Leo the previous week, with transits Saturn (in 5th) and Neptune(anaesthesia?) in 7th each on 18* Capricorn and Pisces!
All has gone well, thanks to the specialised dental practitioners????

Yay I'm so happy to hear from you frisiangel. So you use Jupiter on every occasion? You don't use houses? Yes when I use tarot cards asking about hormones I get Venus ruled cards as well which says Venus rules hormones. In my natal it's when Venus progressed in libra that I got hormonal problems. Specialist thinks it's ovaries, adrenals, and/or insulin. I see her in two weeks. But I'm anxious to know.

And yes, the day I saw the specialist the ASC ruler for the diurnal chart was applying sextile to Jupiter 😊.
