Hi,
Since I am new here.. I dont know which place I should post this new thread.. so I choose Natal house place to begin with my question.

I just read about the Secret of the 22nd Degree of each zodiac sign by Nikola Stojanovic in his website. http://www.astrologyinserbia.com/e/knjige/tajne/tajna_22.htm

Its about the Zodiac degrees has shown that the 22nd degree of any of the Zodiac signs was often active with the assassins or the killed.

I do have this degree in my Ascendant 22 cancer 15'50", and I dont know if Mars in 22 Aries 27'25" is included too.

This degree makes me so worry.. I dont want to believe it but should I just ignore it.. He gave so many examples thats makes me scared..

Worry
Wina.

This 22 degree concept (in my opinion) stems from the 22nd drekkana (decan) concept in Vedic (jyostish) astrology; there is (in my opinion) something to the concept, but please realize this matter must be evaluated within the context of the totality of astrological influences + trends regarding the particular individual involved-please disregard all blanket, one-size-fits-all, sweeping generalizations, whether in the field of astrology or healing or relationships, or anywhere else you run across them!!

Hi,
As I understand it, the 22 degrees principle applies to planets in fixed signs.Yours are in cardinal signs.Your Mars is exalted, by sign and house.

I find the website "lacking" it doesn't post the whole chart, or even consider any possibility that they may have something else in common, none of the charts are posted, Nor the source of where they got the DOB/TIME from.

They also include quotes without a source.

There are alot better studies done, a better one points out that astrologers and murderers have more in common based on astrological positions.

Not to mention that the site omits the gazillion charts of murderers and murdered who have no planets or angles in the 22nd degree.

maybe my worries is unfounded..

dr. farr> So you mean the concept in Vedic (jyostish) astrology is different with the western astrology. I never do my chart in Vedic astrology and I dont know if I have the placement in that particular degree.
Regarding with the context of the totality of astrological influences plus trends, I should not conclude the degree alone without taking the other aspects in my natal chart that supposedly support the outcome?

lilly> Where can I find about this 22 degree principle thats applies to planets in fixed signs.. any books or websites so I will understand more.. your reply makes me feel relieve.. thanks.

Niplan> Ya Niplan, you are very right. I should not believe on instance what I have just read. Thats why I post this to have others opinions. And thanks to all of you who just gave me some ideas about it.

Cheers.. No worries anymore

I have natal Mars in Pisces 22 degrees retrograde HOWEVER if this is a Vedic thing then that would change the sign and degree for many people.

In Vedic that changes my Mars to Aquarius 28 degrees retrograde.

To find out your Vedic numbers at Astro.com instead of western choose Hindu Lihri to the right of the word zodiac.

+The 22nd drekkana concept in Vedic is not found in Western astrological lore; in Vedic it refers to the 22nd decanate from the decanate in which the Ascendant degree of the chart is found; there are rather complex rules for judging the malignancy (or otherwise) of the 22nd drekkana, and the technique is mostly applied in predictive (rather than analytical natal) worik

+About the totality of astrological influences, your above statment is exactly what I meant:biggrin:!

Hi, you sound very new to astrology and I would suggest starting with basics and working your way around that, then secondary progressions, then transits and let's not forget solar arcs:love:

I have Saturn in capricorn at 22 degrees ( Saturn represent the men I love in my chart, me, and my enemies, and my family )

My father died, the man of my life ( who I am madly in love with and adore him to this day with the same intensitiy ) was killed, as a result of the stress over his death I lost our child ( I was pregnant ) Moon opp Saturn in my chart Moon represents children in my chart, and given the fact that I have taken upon myself to seek vengance for what they did to my fiancee most likely one day I will end up killed but I dont give a ****.

Very interesting article, its seems like the 22 of Cancer and Pisces gives that.
About your chart I can not see in what degree of pisces is the cusp of the 8 house. But generally I do not believe from the hole chart that is your case I do agree that something has to do with that degree but I also believe that it can show someones else death too.

Wina.

This is a very, very common misconception, but you actually have your ascendant on 23º Cancer. 0º is actually the 1st degree and 29th degree is actually the 30th. Speaking of Serbia, I've been there before and I absolutely loved it. I was there for a year and a half and I was, I think, 4-5 years old. I can't remember everything exactly, but yeah, thanks for reminding me.

But the website counted their degrees the same way he/she did. In their example, Emperor Hirohito has 22* degree planets and listed it as the unfortunate 22 degree, not 23 degrees.

If the 22nd degree thing were indeed a fact, it would be widely known by now. Like so widely a whole bunch of people who wouldn't have life insurance anymore would be freaking out about their impending demise.

It's not that simple. Very, very few things are.

I don't get what you're trying to say exactly, but I think that when they say 22nd degree, they are actually referring to what would appear in a natal chart to be, apparently, the 21st degree.

Something at 21º38' Aries would actually be in the 22nd degree of Aries. A lot of programs calculate that this way. 0º Aries does NOT exist; it's the first degree of Aries. Period.

My ascendant, for example, is at 26º37' of Cancer, meaning it's actually at 27º36' of Cancer. So if you roll with this, something at 29º59' would actually be at the 30th degree.

That astrologyinserbia makes me frown every time.

I feel like too few people understand how degrees work and too few recognize the significance of the degrees to a point that there is a rumor that no respectable astrologers would look at the charts of the people who have a personal planet placed on 18th degree Scorpio for example, because they are of devil's breed and many astrology students fear such people. Then you have many people who count the 2nd half of the 1st degree and the 1st half of the 2nd degree as the 2nd degree! But the majority of them count 1°-1°59' as the first degree.

Mr. S has conducted a study and concluded in his book: Therefore, this continues in the same order of things: the 25th degree has the symbolic of Aries, the 26th degree the symbolic of Taurus, the 27th degree the symbolic of Gemini, the 28th degree the symbolic of Cancer and, at the very end, there is the 29th degree with the symbolic of Leo.

And what comes next after the 29th degree of each zodiac sign? We get to the zero (0°) degree of the next zodiac sign hence repeating all 12 zodiac signs in a circle.

This is a new and unique approach. It would be interesting to read what everyone thinks about it.

Makes sense to me, only, I count 0-1 as the 1st degree and I see the nature of Aries in it and so on.

quote from the website: http://www.astrologyinserbia.com/e/knjige/tajne/tajna_22.htm

The Japanese emperor Hirohito (29 April 1901, 20:10 JST, 139E4, 35N42) has the Moon (people) at the 22nd degree of Virgo square Uranus in Sagittarius, and Pluto in Gemini. This shows that his people (the Moon) were killed (sacrificed) by a bomb (Uranus) which caused mass destructions (Pluto – mass killings). In addition, the disposer of the Moon in Virgo, Mercury, also occurred at the 22nd degree (of Aries).
-Author: Nikola Stojanovic

Hirohito's Moon is 22°40 and Mercury 22°24, and the Author mentions it as such. We are using the author's definition of degrees, and so are the people in this thread.

Also if you are saying 0° doesn't exist, while mentioning 0°, then isn't it a contradiction?

And since when did 0 suddenly equal 1. :innocent:
