Hey there buddy SUN

Welcome back to another edition of the Digital Hammurabi Book Club!

In this episode, we begin to read the famous Epic of Gilgamesh!

This early Akkadian composition
is known from numerous copies, particularly from the first millennium BCE.
The individual stories about the legendary King of Uruk, Gilgamesh, are known
from Sumerian originals that come from no later than the early second millennium BCE.
Come join us as we read through this very popular Mesopotamian story
and provide commentary along the way!

So, that guy Gilgamesh lived for approximately 750 years. I see some scientist had been noticed that every king after him, were lived much more shorter ages/reigns. The scientist also suggested this pattern of length of life happened after Noah's God imposed great flood upon the Earth. Long way before this event, I barely knew that there are about Dinosaurus in the book of Ayoub.

The Buddha’s teachings were based entirely upon the fine distinctions among individuals
that a compassionate eye can observe.
That is to say that
the Buddha taught always
in ways that conform to the dispositions, interests,
and specific situations of those beings for whom he was teaching at that time

distinctions
- a difference or contrast between similar things or people.

Emptiness and the law of cause and effect
~ Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche
https://justdharma.com/s/pcjb9
If you merely talk about the view of emptiness
but at the same time behave inconsiderately
it is said that your conduct has become lost in the view
If you believe that, since everything is empty by nature
it is all right to do whatever you want
and it makes no difference whether your actions are virtuous or non-virtuous
then your conduct has become “lost in the view.”
All the great teachers say just the opposite
— that the more you understand the view of emptiness
the more aware and careful you are
regarding the law of cause and effect.
