There's one way of changing the Past and the Future and that is NOW DURING THE PRESENT MOMENT

The Past is History
The Future is a Mystery
The Present is a Gift

The Present is the place from which to change Past and Future

The Future is always changing and never happens

I would say it only exists, if a realm outside of the universe exists. If an afterlife of spirits exist and they choose their lots in life then maybe I could see that there is a choice of will.
"Through the round of many births I roamed

without reward,

without rest,

seeking the house-builder.

Painful is birth, again & again.

House-builder, you’re... seen!

You will not build a house again.

All your rafters broken,

the ridge pole destroyed,

gone to the Unformed,

the mind has come to the end of craving."- Dhammapada ~Buddha~
