So I started talking to this guy yesterday. We have a natural affinity for each other, intellectually. Could this be a blast from the past? What do you guys think

I looked at the composite and it verifies your description of the "intellectual affinity" between you. the composite mercury is at 12piswces51 and the transiting south node will be exactly conjunct to mercury tomorrow(aug14). the node has been within a 1 degree orb since july 17th. mercury was conjunct the node on aug 9th .about 00:00 UT, so this is when you most likely met him or first realized the intellectual connection between you.
but you description of an" intellectual affinity" is a understatement as these transits show a full blown psychic connection between you. this shows that when you were talking you both answered question before they were asked and you both knew what the other was thinking before you even said anything. this is why you wonder about a possible "blast from the past". the node conjunction can bring feelings of destiny and karma because of the psychic/premonition filled conversations you have with him.
but the rest of the composite is quite problematic ,especially if you think the intellectual " affinity " will lead to a romantic relationship.
the composite shows mars conjunct the south node and also chiron. with Saturn is conjunct the north node. this shows a "magical feeling" to the connection with him but also shows that he is the dominate one and that you are infatuated with him and his "edgy" presence. he is somewhat of a magician" as he has absolute control over his reality. when the nodal axis is conjunct planets in a composite, there is a strong aura created by the relationship.in this case it has a dark side because mars/chiron/Saturn bring a domineering impulse at best. there is not really a strong emotional connection here which would suggest a romantic intimacy being possible.
the erso/psyche midpoint point is conjunct to ixion and the descendant. this does show that you feel a powerful attraction, a childlike ,innocent love fro him. so with the "intellectual affinity" plus this idealistic emotional attraction, I am sure that you are thinking of a romantic relationship.
but the Eros/psyche midpoint conjunct to ixion, shows there are social tensions. it maybe family/cultural differences or it can show that he lives on the"edgy" of life. he is not the type of guy you usually are attracted to him and his dark side of existence.

Wow, thank you rahu. This relationship was soppused to be a Platonic one but I guess you are right. The telepathic connection is very strong. I will keep my head up.
