Kangaroo court: A trial where ONLY damaging testimony is allowed, leading to an INVALID "guilty" verdict.

Ostrich court: A trial where ALL testimony, INCLUDING damaging testimony, is NOT allowed, leading to an INVALID "innocent" verdict.

It is rubbish to impeach an obvious criminal over something so relatively minor, and then get worked up about “justice.”

As I understand it, this charge was chosen because it's specifically illegal according to the Constitution--no loopholes to slither through.

Since the President swears to uphold the laws according to the Constitution, if found guilty, the President has violated the oath of office, and would be removed. "He did it but 'so what'" wouldn't work.
THIS is why there's such real fear of damaging testimony: According to the law, a guilty verdict in this case WOULD require removal from office. Whereas, for example, being found guilty of lying under oath concerning extramarital s*x, would not.

See, that analogy doesn’t make sense for me. Capone was a private individual, not a public servant. They got Capone where his life intersected with the federal apparatus, because that intersection gives birth to — evidence.
Trump is a public servant. There should be copious evidence.

He's a gangster, in bed with the Russian mafia. Should have been stopped BEFORE he ran. Intimidates witnesses, uses "Executive privilege" to hide evidence.

If this were a REAL trial, Judge Roberts would indict the defendant for both witness AND jury tampering. The Republican dominated U.S. Senate has now entered the most shameful period in its long history. It has disgraced the Constitution to which it owes its allegiance and its very existence.

Schiff is the brave one. This woman just declared "you're finished" to our Constitution. That's a cause for tears for those who love our Constitutional Democratic Republic. And, a cause for applause for those who don't.

Those who don't support our Constitutional Democratic Republic are hoping Trumpeached gets reelected. If he does, the Popular vote disparity could reach as high as 5-6 million votes.

This charade of a "fair and impartial trial" was big yucks for the nihilists who prefer Unconstitutional rule by dictatorship. But, it was a disgrace for the Republican Party.
