ASTROLOGICAL TRANSITS
MERCURY RETROGRADE – JUNE 15 JULY 10, 2007
By Theodore White, Classical Scientific Astrologer

The planet Mercury will turn stationary retrograde on Friday, June 15 at 11-degrees tropical Cancer, and will remain retrograde until turning direct on July 9/10 at 2-degrees Cancer. A planet is retrograde when it appears from the perspective of a person on Earth that the planet is moving backward in the Zodiac.

Mercury’s retrograde occurs three times a year, and often does so in the same element (earth, air, fire, water.) This year, Mercury’s retrogrades are in the element of water.

Mercury’s retrograde usually brings along disruptions in communications related to the element, and its position in the zodiac.

From June 15 to July 10, Mercury will be retrograde in the tropical constellation of Cancer, and after turning direct on July 9/10 will move slowly until picking up speed in late July, and early August 2007.

When Mercury is slow, people tend to have problems communicating. Slow responses, mistakes, poor scheduling, and major technical disruptions that affect travel, professional and personal progress.

Look for these areas to show unexpected disruptions, slowdowns, failures in negotiations, and overall frustrations ~

Ø Equipment breakdowns, computers, engines, telephones, technical disruptions, etc.
Ø Problems affecting the House, water, food, household appliances, the yard.
Ø Transportation problems, slowdowns, airlines, trains, vehicles, etc.
Ø Late shipments, misprints, production problems due to malfunction of small parts, etc.
Ø Slow decision making by others
Ø Mistakes in decisions, poor judgments
Ø Mail disruptions
Ø People constantly rescheduling, cancellations, etc.
Ø Illnesses related to food & drink

During times of Mercury’s retrogrades, expect slowdowns in communications with people often changing plans, being indecisive, unsure, that often that lead to widespread confusion. The results are missed appointments, loss of work and profit, and general frustration because things are not operating normally.

Because this particular Mercury retrograde takes place about a week before the Summer Solstice in the Northern Hemisphere, the summer season will start off disrupted, slow, with confusing situations developing as people allow themselves to be affected by the transit.

This has ramifications for the rest of summer and the fall season, when another Mercury retrograde in Scorpio, begins in October, causing more disruptions, especially economically, which carries over into the coming Christmas season.

Astrologically and practically, the best way to handle such problems is to take the time to avoid signing contracts and making promises one cannot keep during such retrogrades of Mercury. It is best to use the Mercury retrograde cycle to take the time to think over all the consequences of decisions and actions that are possible while not settling on a plan of action until after the retrograde is over.

These retrogrades sometimes can become blessings in disguise because it allows time for unresolved issues and decisions to be re-considered. Business and personal affairs can be carefully thought over while allowing for unfinished tasks that were started before the retrograde to be handled with more introspective and wiser action and thought ~ allowing for practical decisions to come to light.

The frustrations will come for those people in a rush, which is something that is not wise to do during these retrogrades. Those people on vacation can expect problems before and during travel. Expect delays with airline travel, lost luggage, and overall frustrations for those trying to get somewhere fast during the retrograde cycle throughout mid-June to the late July, overall.

Mercury’s retrograde in mid-June to July lasts throughout the entire month of July because right after Mercury heads stationary direct, the transit continues to be slower than normal. This will last to about July 24, when Mercury picks up speed.

Planetary transits are the reason for what we call Time. Without the motion of the Earth, Sun, Moon, planets and stars, time itself would not exist. The ticking of all clocks are Earth are timed to the rotation of the Earth according to the region one is located on our planet.

Astrological transits are more complex. There are the aspects formed between positions of the planets at any given time in relationship to the positions of other planets. These are mathematical aspects made from the positions of the Sun, Moon, planets and stars relative to the Earth. These transits are always changing, always in motion, like the Earth.

Over the centuries, classical astrologers built up an extensive analogue database of observed influences in nature, and among humanity from astrological transits.

ASTRO-TRANSITS FOR 2007
A TRANSITION YEAR

World Transits for the new Astrological Year of 2007 show that this year is a major transition year leading to the years 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011, and the start of the second decade of the 21st Century.

Transition and change is the major theme for 2007 as global transits show a series of new planetary changes this year that will translate into strong transits during the years 2008-2011.

One such sign is the retrograde of Jupiter at 19-SAGITTARIUS earlier in April 2007, and the other is the recent direct motion of the planet Saturn (April 19) that will take Saturn into tropical Virgo in September 2007 for its long transit in the constellation as the first decade of the 21st century comes to a close.

Transits from April to August 2007 continue to indicate a need to re-assess, and to prepare for the next decade. Economic and social matters are highlighted.

This summer is NOT the best summer to travel. Expect delays, higher gasoline prices, higher costs overall, generally stressful situations over the summer & autumn months.

Next spring & summer of 2008 have much better travel transits than the spring & summer of 2007.

At this time in April 2007, transiting Venus continue to rise and set after the Sun. Venus is in “evening star” cycle, helping those who seek to complete unresolved projects and issues since 2006.

By August 18, 2007, Venus will turn to ‘Morning Star” ~ at 24-LEO, retrograde, opening a new mini-era that is preceded by the direct motion of Jupiter (Aug. 6, 2007) and followed by the ingress of Saturn into tropical Virgo on September 2, 2007.

The year of 2007 shows a need to re-adjust to changes, resisting too much impulsive acts (Sagittarius) while looking ahead at the ingresses of Jupiter in Capricorn (December 2007) and Saturn’s ingress into Virgo (Sept. 2007) as signs to focus on PRACTICAL MATTERS, goals and objectives.

One of the major aspects taking place over Spring 2007 in the Northern Hemisphere, and Autumn 2007 in the Southern Hemisphere is the fire trine between a retrograde Jupiter in Sagittarius and a direct Saturn transiting tropical Leo.

This fire trine is useful for planning, and acting on future goals and objectives, using the months of April, May, June, and July to make changes that focus on what is practical and achievable. Those who use these transits well will experience success when Jupiter and Saturn translate into the Earth signs of Virgo (Saturn) and Capricorn (Jupiter) by January 2008.

The earth trine of Jupiter & Saturn in 2008 will cover the entire year, providing those who have used the transition year of 2007 to pre-act in several areas of life ~ mainly economics, and those things relating to housing, relocations, career, and relationships.

However, the transits of 2007 will be challenging to those who are not prepared, and it is advised for those who are aware of transits to carefully navigate the remaining months of the year 2007.

Reasons ~

The most challenging transits this summer and autumn of 2007 will be those involving Venus, Saturn, and the Dragon’s Tail, or the transiting South Lunar Node, now in Virgo.

Venus performs a retrograde (July 27 to September 6, 2007) in tropical Virgo and Leo that involves two conjunctions to the planet Saturn.

The first happens in the first week of July 2007 in Leo and the second conjunction of Venus/Saturn occurs in the third week of October 2007 in Virgo along with the South Lunar Node.

This is a mostly malefic transit, and can help bring about negative emotional and physical environments in society (Venus) due to the restrictive (Saturn) influences of this combination of transits.

Because of the Venus retrograde, summer in the northern hemisphere is extended through the traditional fall months, well into mid-November, when the cool of fall will arrive, but not mid-autumn, until the month of December 2007.

The Venus/Saturn conjunctions of early July, and again, in mid-October means that summer in the northern hemisphere will not be all that most people expect it will be. In fact, the summer months are extended deep into the fall months, meaning that many people will be unprepared for the holiday season of December, and the translation into the Earth signs of Jupiter and Saturn.

Venus/Saturn transits are not the best for positive environments. Moreover, the summer months of August sees the coming of a Mars-Jupiter opposition along the Gemini-Sagittarius axis. This begins in August 2007, and continues into September 2007, and influences increased worldwide impulsiveness that leaves many things unresolved, and sets a climate for the second Venus/Saturn conjunction with the Dragon’s Tail in October.

Conjunctions to the South Lunar Node can be mostly malefic. With Venus and Saturn in conjunction in early Virgo along with the Dragon’s Tail, it is wise to avoid heavy commitments in relationships and to not draw lines in the sand, so to speak, on those relationships.

The October 2007 conjunction of Venus-Saturn & South Lunar Node in Virgo calls to avoid confrontations, and to maintain a low profile while working through the summer and fall months to prepare for 2008. One way to discover what October’s events may be is to look at what is happening in early July 2007, when the first Venus/Saturn conjunction in Leo will take place.

Summer is extended in 2007, through autumn in the northern hemisphere. In many ways, 2007 is a strange year for many, as changes are forced on others not prepared for them because of complacency during 2004, 2005 and 2006.

However, Venus will turn from ‘evening star” to “morning star” on Saturday, August 18, allowing those who have used the spring months to plan to make changes ahead of time that will catch many others off-guard by October, and last into December, when the Lunar Nodes translate from mutable to “fixed” ~ from the constellational axis of Pisces/Virgo to that of Aquarius/Leo.

This is critical, because as the transiting Lunar Nodes translate from mutable water/earth to fixed air/fire on December 17/18, 2007 ~ the planet Jupiter will enter tropical Capricorn the same day and Saturn will retrograde at 8-VIRGO the next day.

This shows December 2007 as a change in “era” ~ and opens the transit doors to a new era that takes the world into the last two years of the first decade of the century, while forecasting more to come into the decade of the 2010s.

The translation of Saturn into tropical Virgo, and Jupiter into Capricorn, and their earth trines (exact in January/February 2008) and again (October, November, December 2008) reflect a new era that is practical, and goal-oriented. Expect a down-to-earth transit here that is highly active via trine aspect and can be of great use for those planning to make changes overall in their lifestyle.

It is also an excellent time for further planning for the decade of the 2010s, which are challenging because of the transits ~ mainly after the three (3) Jupiter-Saturn oppositions (2010-2011) and the long-running Uranus-Pluto square in that decade.

To navigate the spring, summer & fall of 2007, it is best to use the times in-between retrogrades of Mercury, Venus, and Jupiter to make the switch into the year that 2008 will become, according to transits. Those who do so successfully will be rewarded by the earth trine of Jupiter and Saturn in 2008.

Plan ahead for Christmas 2007 by purchasing during the summer months. Saturn’s influence is strong in the months leading to Christmas, and restrictive from its transit in tropical Virgo.

The best way to take advantage of these mundane transits is to buy months ahead of Christmas, looking for bargains, storing away, and wait for the fall season to pass by.

Jupiter rises ahead of the Sun, in early Capricorn, on the Full Moon day of December 23, 2007, with a Moon in Cancer, just coming off a conjunction with Mars in Cancer. Christmas 2007 is not all the great because of the drag on the economy. The year 2007 will have a been a mini-recession year, with housing a drag on the economy.

Moreover, the transiting Lunar Nodes will have translated into fixed signs by mid-December 2007 with the North Node entering Aquarius, and the South Node entering Leo. This era will last 20 months until August 2009, when the transiting lunar nodes translate into Capricorn/Cancer.

Key is to Navigate 2007

August 2007 – make changes, noting Aug. 7-18
August 2007 to November 2007 – low profile, focus on 2008
November 2007 – December 2007 – relax & resolve
December 18, 2007 – new era begins lasting to August 2009.

The Jupiter-Saturn 2008 earth trine has better opportunities for those who want to advance their goals and objectives, particularly in areas relating to economics ~ including housing and real estate.

For instance, expect national foreclosure rates to continue to expand because of the busting of the mortgage lending bubble, while housing prices continue to fall with housing starts numbers also continuing to decline over 2007.

The ability to reduce debt, while at the same time navigating through 2007 to get to 2008’s excellent transits, is best. Avoiding impulsiveness, and hasty actions can be helped by the retrograde of Jupiter (April to August 2007) using the transit of Saturn to look ahead and prepare for 2008 and beyond.

TRANSIT NOTES FOR 2007

Ø Restrict Travel Plans Over Summer/Fall 2007
Ø Stay Home, Plan for 2008, reduce debt
Ø Avoid too much socializing
Ø Wait to start new relationships until November 2007
Ø Maintain lower profile
Ø Use date of Venus’ Morning Star (Aug. 18, 2007) for new affirmations, planning, reaching goals.
Ø Monitor Financial Markets, Plan for 2008

Those who navigate the world transits well will be in prime position to utilize 2008’s transits towards achieving goals and objectives that are practically-based, and planned for in advance.

Yes, this trine is big stuff this year. Nice interpretation :) I can see how things are lining up for me in regards to this, with the focus being on career as I'm working on professional certifications and rearranging my professional priorities to make life a bit more rewarding, and more importantly, less stressful.

This trine is most interesting, not only because it moves elements, but also because the trine has 5 (yes, five!) exact hits. Not often do these two highly important and synergistic planets form a major aspect repeated five times due to retrogradation, and it's not often their major aspects cross sign or element lines.

Also most interesting is the linkage to Uranus formed at the beginning of the trine series, when the Jupiter/Uranus square and Saturn/Uranus inconjunct connected, forming a triangle at the 19th degrees of Sagittarius, Leo and Pisces. I'm guessing this is a major player in why the stock markets surged ahead and continue to surge, considering both an expansive fire trine and Uranus's involvement. With the fire trine, Jupiter seems to have the upper hand as it's a fire planet, showing the expansive nature of the aspect. However, when this trine moves into Earth (Virgo/Capricorn), in two very practical signs, Saturn would seem to get the upper hand, and the nature of the aspect would transform into practicality and contraction. I'm thinking around that time, we'll start to see a major correction. Obviously this out of control market will have a correction, considering the weakening dollar but spiraling stock market; it just doesn't add up.

One should also consider this year's Sept/11/2007 8:44AM EST Solar Eclipse, which happens exactly on the South Node of the Dec/23/1913 18:02EST chart for the signing of the law creating the US Federal Reserve Bank and 2 minutes to the 6 year mark of the 9/11/01 attack. I could go into more detail regarding this extremely important eclipse, but I suppose I will save that for after I've done more research. I'm still piecing together all the links, they are getting fairly numerous.

3rd harmonic graphical ephemeris of Jupiter/Saturn through 2007 and 2008, crossing points indicate a trine. 0-30 is fire, 30-60 is earth.

Thanks Unukalhai... And good piece yourself on this year's transits to the points of the 9/11/01 positions. There's a lot going on there, and I'm sure you're seeing the same things I am... there's some fear there for those involved, and frankly, you know, they deserve it, don't you think?

The point really is that the people out there without a clue to transits, or those thinking that no one can see what they;ve been up to (God) are in big trouble. But, you know, they made their bed, and now they have to sleep in it. This eclipse point is serious, and makes very interesting aspects to the past, which, in part, does not resolve anything, but makes things worse, considering the ignorance that has been running around all these years and the fact that some just do not want to face reality as you said.

Re/ the coming earth trine of Jupiter-Saturn... you are correct about Saturn having the upper hand, however, Jupiter will emerge from the far side of the Sun in late December this year, and will rise in January, February and March '08, so Jupiter will have the upper hand first, before Saturn asserts itself later with its own rise in August, September, October, and November 2008.

Therefore, the first half of the earth trine series will have Jupiter with the strength, although in its "fall" in Capricorn, but still within positive earth trine to Saturn... This will allow for corrections to be made, and more practical efforts put forth into action for people who are aware of the transits, that is.

The months of January through April 2008 are excellent times to recover from the mess of 2007 (impulsiveness, stupidity, hasty actions, poor decisions, loss of opportunities, etc.) but usually, after the holidays, people have a bad habit of wasting time, by sitting on their duffs, and watching TV, etc., while these good transits are in play. By the time people emerge from the winter months, near the Spring equinox, they "act out" because of the shifting rotation of the Earth, and by that time in 2008, Jupiter will be high in the skies at sunrise, but in opposition to Mars in spring '08.

Jupiter's effect in earth trine will help Capricorns, Virgos, those with positions in Taurus, in positive aspect, of course, and help with sextiles to those with positions in water signs, for the most part, except for the opposition to tropical Cancer, where Mars will transit in the first half of 2008. In fact, the oppositions to Jupiter from Mars kicks off this year, and continues into next year, which means more the same old "us" versus "them" mentality that has been ongoing for some years now....

The way to use this Jupiter-Saturn earth trine is to, well, be "practical" ~ not to sound too Capricornian, however, this is the way to use this earth trine to positive benefit... by being real, avoiding people who BS and waste time... avoiding those who seek "drama"... the yo-yos out there who just have not a clue and who think that everyday is the same.

Many people will waste the trine, and also waste the coming Venus-Jupiter conjunction in late January/early February 2008, which signals a sort of new era after the Lunar Nodes have changed quality from mutable to fixed in mid-December 2008 (the same day that Jupiter enters Capricorn) and a day before Saturn turns retrograde at 8-VIRGO.

The benefit of the coming earth trine is that the years 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011 can be used very well... mostly to make changes, expand on goals, and to surround oneself with positive people while ending relationships that have worn out their welcome. This year's transits will accomplish most of that, but most of it will be done poorly by people... who let events dictate action, rather than pre-acting to use their knowledge and their free will to apply transits in a positive manner.

Jupiter's transits in Sagittarius usually indicate people who go off on tangents, etc., etc., and act out. What they miss are the connections to the coming future, and usually these kinds of people waste time engaging in "dramas" with Jupiter's influence, along with that of the Saturn-Neptune opposition, influencing them towards waste of time, energies, and resources.

What will happen next year will prove this, considering that those who are engaged in such wastes of time will miss the opportunities presented in 2008 ~ especially early in the year, which, if used well, will yield great returns later in 2008.

Have you been recently following what has been happening in the world's financial markets from these transits I forecasted?

For sure. Looks like the credit bubble may implode. It seems there is a very overarching instability in the markets now, with the fed taking unusual steps to try to stabilize things, it seems as if the markets are teetering. Things will likely not be helped by the upcoming solar eclipse on the Fed's south node.

We can only guess how much liquidity has been injected beyond the stock market, since the Fed no longer publishes the M3 statistics, for obvious reasons.

I think the next few weeks are going to be very, very important, for a number of reasons.

Yes, for sure. It would be nice to see those M3 stats; however, we do have the transits. The last several weeks have been interesting, but I've been watching the markets for years now, and the fact that the major investment banks (including Deutsche Bank) were urged to use the Fed's discount window (and did so last week) shows just how serious liquidity have become.

There's been so much corruption, stupdity and greed in the real estate markets for the last seven years that it is obvious that transits have been calling for a severe downturn ~ here it is. Note Jupiter's transits (raises prices) while Saturn coming ingress in tropical Virgo will depress them.

The hedge fund situation within the investment banks is very serious considering the ongoing Saturn/Neptune opposition (excessive gambling & waste) as well as the fog of corruption mixed with greed that has caused the credit crunch and major defaults in the housing industry leading to what is now record foreclosures in the U.S.

According to transits, and the Fed's own transits, it looks like a rate cut is coming on September 18th. The reserve here has been throwing billions into the banks here to keep them liquid, while in Europe, where a severe credit crunch has caused the European Union to pour in over 130 billion Euros into the banks and the markets ~ we are obviously witnessing the result of major banks who've been playing craps with the real estate markets ~ on the losing end, of course, considering what we are now witnessing in the markets.

The coming eclipse in September is interesting, and has over-reaching effects into the 2010s, over the long-term. What are your thoughts on this?

Interesting. You obviously follow the markets far more than I do, I follow them for curiosity and astrological correlation mainly, as I don't get involved in the market. I haven't been following the european markets, although I probably should atleast start doing so a little bit :)

There's been so much corruption, stupdity and greed in the real estate markets for the last seven years that it is obvious that transits have been calling for a severe downturn ~ here it is. Note Jupiter's transits (raises prices) while Saturn coming ingress in tropical Virgo will depress them.

Another major factor of the real estate problem, specifically the huge rise in foreclosures, has been a high quantity of very poor construction. That's all part of the greed; build the cheapest junk you can, sell it for the most, and when sh*t hits the fan and joe sucker is left with a house that is falling apart in just a few years, they fall back on the contract which basically says your screwed. I've been reading a number of articles on how so many of the foreclosures are related to john doe purchasing a house, it basically falling apart, and having to foreclose it because repairs could not be afforded. In many cases if these homes were built to reasonable standards the foreclosures would never happen; combine this with unbridled lending and you have a formula for disaster. I would personally advise anyone to be questionable of any structure built during the "boom" that is now imploding, especially when Saturn was under duress in Leo.

We also shouldn't overlook the Jupiter-Saturn biseptile between the trines; the biseptile was exact on August 10th as all this fun goodness (... sarcasm) started happening. Moon squared the JU/SA midpoint at the exact biseptile, from Cancer, it's own sign, and also the sign representing the home from a sense of security perspective. Moon also trined Uranus, planet of revelation and sudden unexpected changes. It all seems, in retrospect, pretty clear.

I haven't even kept up with the hedge fund situation, although I've read a few articles; sounds like a massive mess, glad I have no investments of this sort.

According to transits, and the Fed's own transits, it looks like a rate cut is coming on September 18th.

They should have cut rates a few weeks ago, but they seemed too worried it may signal weakness, but you can only hide the truth so long. Then again, we don't seem to have the most intelligent leadership in the financial area these days. Curious why you pin the 18th?

while in Europe, where a severe credit crunch has caused the European Union to pour in over 130 billion Euros into the banks and the markets

Youch! I wasn't aware of that.

we are obviously witnessing the result of major banks who've been playing craps with the real estate markets ~ on the losing end, of course, considering what we are now witnessing in the markets.

Not just the housing market, but issuance of credit has been out of control across the board; seems the past few years have witnessed the attitude of "finance finance finance!" across the board, with no regards to the practicality of the loans or their ability to be properly paid back. Overextension seems to have been the keyword.

The coming eclipse in September is interesting, and has over-reaching effects into the 2010s, over the long-term. What are your thoughts on this?

My thoughts on the eclipse are mainly financial... I see the hit to the south node as exposing the underhanded practices that have been in progress since around the time the M3 data was concealed. The south node tends to be a point of release. I don't think their little charade of lies they've been perpetrating to keep the rubes happy is going to survive; reality will set in and the cards will be thrown down on the table, if you ask me. Beyond just the eclipse to the SN, the entry of Pluto in Capricorn carries a special meaning for the US Fed. Going with the Dec 1913 chart (signing of the bill, some like me use the 1914 opening day chart also) Pluto sits at 0Can05, so it's entry into Capricorn is also the Pluto opposition for the Fed. Pluto tends to purify, to lay things bare, and to force one to own up to one's use of Pluto's power. Pluto's power can be so nasty and underhanded, but this is not the intended method of use of this energy, and at the dynamic aspects of the Pluto cycle people or entities often end up reckoning with how they've used or misused the power endeared by this object. The first opposition happens late Jan.2008, but the process continues into 2009-2010 when the waning SA-PL square lines up with the conjunction of SA-PL shown in the Fed's opening day chart, bang on a solar return to the opening day chart! Also of note is how the retrograde MA-JU opposition (Dec 26 '07) falls right on that conjunction as well. I think that between the eclipse and the 2009 SR for the opening day chart there's going to be alot of changes, with what they've been hiding coming to light. A key period appears to be March of 2008, when Uranus opposes the eclipse from the Fed's NN, lining up with a Mars/Pluto opposition which straddles the 1913 chart's Sun-Pluto opposition. I think this is when the ball really gets rolling towards the upcoming major events of 2009-2010 (NAU, Amero)

I think we're about to enter a major transformative period, the likes of which haven't been seen for a long time. This is confirmed by the eclipse.. Opposing Uranus, squaring JU/PL midpoint, MA/JU=UR exact on the eclipse... such powerful transformative energies. Jupiter and Uranus are very, very important this year. First, we're under the waning square of the cycle. Secondly, the eclipse is tightly integrated with Mars, Jupiter, and Uranus... Third, at eclipse the JU/UR midpoint will be 29Cap13. JU/UR in the 1913 Fed chart is 29Cap27! Then the forth is even a bigger kicker: JU/UR are on the angles in DC at the Libra ingress. I think it's pretty apparent: Jupiter = Large finance, and is ascendant lord when the Fed opened for business. Uranus = sudden changes and transformations. The Mars interactions (including the supercharged MA/JU oppositions of this year, MA/JU=UR @ eclipse, Mars return on eclipse to 1776 chart, etc) give it the raw energy to actually move along.

The eclipse is also a Mars return to the American July 4th founding chart, certainly not a small consideration especially given the eclipse happening on the anniversary of the most blatant attack on America. The Libra Ingress also shows Mars and Pluto on the angles in Iraq, the astrocartography map has MA and PL passing right through the middle of Iraq. It's hard for me to say what exactly this will produce, but one thing is for sure: The Iraq situation is going to reach critical through the fall, especially with the Mars RX period.

I'm sure I've missed plenty, but one thing is for certain: things are not going to be slow and boring. As if 9/11/07 isn't enough, and doesn't have enough connections to the USA, the 8/28/07 lunar eclipse falls right along the ASC/DSC axis in DC. Dare I say this combination of events almost rivals the JU/SA conjunction on the DC midheaven in 2000?

Hopefully I haven't confused you, it is a bit late :)

Interesting. You obviously follow the markets far more than I do, I follow them for curiosity and astrological correlation mainly, as I don't get involved in the market. I haven't been following the european markets, although I probably should atleast start doing so a little bit :)

I haven't even kept up with the hedge fund situation, although I've read a few articles; sounds like a massive mess, glad I have no investments of this sort.

They should have cut rates a few weeks ago, but they seemed too worried it may signal weakness, but you can only hide the truth so long. Then again, we don't seem to have the most intelligent leadership in the financial area these days. Curious why you pin the 18th?

Youch! I wasn't aware of that.

Not just the housing market, but issuance of credit has been out of control across the board; seems the past few years have witnessed the attitude of "finance finance finance!" across the board, with no regards to the practicality of the loans or their ability to be properly paid back. Overextension seems to have been the keyword.

You're welcome :D

I've seen Zeitgeist in it's entirety, it's a good flick, and much more could be said about the various topics it covers. That's what the charts are for.. hehe.

One thing I forgot to mention: eclipse ruler Mercury, at eclipse (9Lib13), will be opposite the 1776 MA/PL midpoint (9Ari25) and square the 1913 MA/PL midpoint (9Can48).

MA/PL, in addition to MA/JU, is quite important - perfect trine at the summer solstice, opposition at the Libra ingress, 3 hit retrograde opposition over the Mars RX period with the final opposition across the first cardinal degrees of Cancer and Capricorn, hitting the Fed charts Sun-Pluto opposition, on the same day as a New Moon conjunct Uranus, the New Moon opposing the 9/11/07 eclipse.

MA/PL - To work on schedule. To accomplish several things at the same time. To organize one's work. Organizing. Planning. Plans. Duplicates, to copy, to repeat, to multiply. To lead, to supervise or to perform several activities at he same time. To divide, to split, to branch off. Branch. Plans. To hold two jobs at the same time. To do two different kinds of work. Transformation and change in the activity in one's work and in the working conditions. Change in the occupation.

Well, this is an excellent time to prepare, and to get together with skilled astrologers to prepare for the coming years ahead considering the world transits. Most people shoudl remember not only to focus just on their own personal transits, but also on the world transits to come, and those of the present, in order to be able to prepare for the stronger transits just ahead in the next several years, and throughout the 2010s.

People of like minds, and interests, especially those serious about astrology, should form serious partnerships, and groups to tackle the personal, group and world issues taking place now, and those to come in the future.
