Assemblies and diameters make planets meet on one straight line and form powerful syzygies. The 1/3, 1/2 and 2/3 of the diameter are important configurations. Of these, the tetragon and the diameter are disharmonious, because their contrary qualities are responsible for the turning of seasons and lunar phases. The hexagon and the trigon are harmonious, because their winds are of the same nature and sect, which also tempers the assembly to common nature and the diameter to the nature of the tetragon. The hexagon is tempered to the nature of the trigon, because even though it doesn't have the same direction, it has the same nature and sect and takes less seasonal space (lesser difference). The 1/6 and 5/6 of the diameter are not configurations, because they are neither turning, nor do they belong to winds of the same nature and sect, so that even if they had relationship, this would be general and imperceptible.

Configurations within 1 are complete
Configurations within 3 are powerful
Configurations within 7 are operative
Configurations within 15 are moderate

15 is the boundary before the beginning of the next configuration or the lack thereof, an additional reason is that it is the half of a place. Each interval is doubled in distance from the previous as 1 + 2 = 3 + 4 = 7 + 8 = 15, an additional reason is that these approximate one day, three days, one week and two weeks of the lunar months.

There are very few natural reasons for the usage of configurations by signs, ascensions and the so-called planetary orbs. Such we shall omit, likewise the usage of applications and separations is superfluous as we prefer current placements configurations at a given moment, and not motions in the future, otherwise the powers of the angles would be superfluous.
Let us expound on the obscure doctrine of physical aspects. Most astrologers have posited occult visual rays as an explanation, but actually one needs neither the obsolete emission theory of vision, nor the musical theory of the ancients, nor numerology to give an explanation for these schemata.

It will suffice to give some physical examples with the four seasons, which change at assembly, tetragon and diameter with the equinoxes and solstices, and the four phases of the Moon, which causes the highest tides in assembly and diameter with the Sun, and the lowest tides in tetragon with the Sun, though with more constant tidal range.

Of these configurations, the diameter appears more disharmonious than the assembly, because of the contrary seasons, while the assembly appears more disharmonious than the tetragon because it shares the line of the diameter, but the natures of the first two are tempered by the winds of the same nature and sect carried by the triangular figures (for reasons we have given above), so that the assembly becomes common, while the diameter becomes similar to the tetragon.

Thus I posit that the seven planets have the same effect within any of these configurations - Jupiter and Venus help, Saturn and Mars harm, Sun, Moon and Mercury join their effects with either group. I posit that the winds of the same nature and sect also carry out configurations by themselves, which are harmonious - Jupiter and Venus help in the same way, Saturn and Mars do not harm for the most part, because their effects have been tempered, Sun, Moon and Mercury join their effects with either group. Finally I posit that all configurations carry out the effects and most common predominations of planets, because they carry out physical causes, as has been shown, and which agrees with the experience and the traditions of the ancients.

At the equator, the same configurations occur, but not because of the zodiac, but because of the angles. But notice how superfluous is the objection of those who want the boundaries of the places to prevent configurations - is the Moon at 1 Aries moving away from the Sun at 30 Pisces, not in conjunction, and doesn't it have the same effect on the tides, as if it were at 30 Pisces? The predomination by place is surely different, but this does not affect the configurations, which are almost the same in daylight anyways, even though that one is moving over the half, which has an effect on the Moon, but not on the configuration, for the planet is in the middle of its influence, while the place is around the middle of its influence, which is the 15th degree, and which does not spill over the other places. Finally, if the configurations were hinged on the zodiac, rather than the other way around, there will be no aspects at the equator, which is contrary to reason - there are phases and differentiation of the angles. Besides, some hexagons occur within same seasons, while others within neighbouring seasons, some trigons occur within neighbouring seasons, while others within contrary seasons, yet no one changes his interpretation due to hard boundaries of the seasons, but rather because of the distance of signs.

Objection: You showed that the four winds and their rulers are based on the powers of the twelve signs, but this shows that harmonious sextile and trine figures need to be carried only within signs which are in such configurations, thus favouring the hard boundaries of signs over aspects.

Answer: I showed that each wind and its predominator is based on the powers of three places, which influence spreads 90 degrees which individually are in perfect configurations, and always in moderate configuration with their middles. But if we take a planet to have an influence over a place in the exact same way, and which is rarely in the middle of its place, but rather in constant motion through all twelve places with all different winds, this would lead us to the opposite conclusion, that there are no hard boundaries over configurations. The same logic applies to the other configurations.

The 1/6 and 5/6 of the diameter are not configurations, because they are neither turning, nor do they belong to winds of the same nature and sect, so that even if they had relationship, this would be general and imperceptible.
''This would be general and imperceptible'' e.g. the Sun's obvious effect is strongest, but so constant and so general that it is practically imperceptible compared to the dynamic minor effects of the planets. So Manilius would have all signs in configurations with the dodecagon in this way. Saying that everything is configured with everything does not help us in any way, so I would rather call them not configured or disjunct, rather than configured with the weakest dodecagon.
