The 2020 DNC, mostly virtual in a global pandemic, from Milwaukee WI...this is going to work out, because more people want to vote a new man Joe Biden to replace the worst president since...Bush Jr? Nixon? Hoover? to ruined America. Another big issue, race relations, will be addressed ...and the VP running mate Kamala Harris should represent the advancement of women and people of color when the issues of race and gender inequality are the hottest since the 1960s. If we elect Biden, would race relations be a lot better than now?

When Jacob Blake’s father talked with his son Sunday morning
the younger Blake was gearing up for a day of celebrating
his son’s eighth birthday

That evening, the father got word that his son had been shot eight times
by police officers
in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
Eighteen minutes later, he saw the now-viral video, he said.

“What justified all those shots?” his father said.
“What justified doing that in front of my grandsons? What are we doing?”

The cellphone video of the incident
shows Blake walking around and opening up his car door
before appearing to be shot in the back by police.

His father said there are now “eight holes” in his son’s body
and he’s paralyzed from the waist down.
Doctors don’t yet know if the injury is permanent.

Protests erupted Sunday

following the shooting of the 29-year-old Blake,
with cars set on fire and windows smashed out.
Monday night, peaceful protesters

marched through the city streets,

denouncing police abuse,
but the incidents again turned violent after dark.
Kenosha residents were waking up Tuesday to desolate streets
with burned out buildings.

Blake’s partner, Laquisha Booker, told NBC’s Milwaukee affiliate, WTMJ-TV,
that the couple’s three children were in the back seat of the SUV when police shot him.

“...That man just literally grabbed him by his shirt
and looked the other way and was just shooting him.
With the kids in the back screaming. Screaming....” Booker said.

“...They start to wrestle...”
said another witness at the scene
who spoke on condition of anonymity.
“...The officer is punching on him.
Two officers come to assist
They get him down on the curb behind his vehicle.
Somehow he manages to get up.
They said he has a knife. All of the officers pull out their guns. ...
One of the officers tells him, ‘Get out of the car!’ and he starts shooting.”

The witness said he never saw a knife.

“...Those police officers that shot my son like a dog in the street
are responsible for everything that has happened in the city of Kenosha...” his father said.
“My son is not responsible for it.
My son didn’t have a weapon. He didn’t have a gun....”

Its a wonder all these cities aren't bankrupt because of the police shootings and multi-million dollar settlements on most of them. Seriously, its getting rather expensive ...and should likely be taken out of the police budget! Perhaps then they will teach their cops not to use fear first, but logic. They could have tasered him, if the goal was to incapacitate him for a few minutes to get handcuffs on him. Not shoot him 7 times in the back!

Now, his father says he is paralyzed from the waist down, IF he manages to live.

Wisconsin's attorney general named the officer
who shot a black man on Sunday
sparking days of demonstrations.
Josh Kaul told reporters on Wednesday

that Rusten Sheskey

shot Jacob Blake
seven times in the back as he opened the door of his car.

The Department of Justice
has opened
a federal investigation into the shooting.
It has sent more than 200 FBI agents and US Marshals to the city

Jane Elliott tried this exercise on her grade school class in the 1960s and then to adults around the world ever since to teach all of us what racism and color-based discrimination is like. She read about the Nazis' racial dogma that Jewish Europeans often had dark brown (near black) eyes, in addition to religious and cultural hatred of Judaism and the Jewish diaspora. In the USA, skin color and geographical origin of African-Americans was the main factor of creation of a social divide ruled by a majority of people with socioeconomic privilege because of skin color and slave ancestry when the practice was legal until the 1860s.
