Restless Legs Syndrome (RLS) related to ascendant?

Hi, i am wondering about the likelihood of a relation between the Restless Legs Syndrome and the ascendant: namely, i am saggitarius rising plus saggitarius moon, and have been feeling the syndrome for years (it might have grown somewhat lately, indeed). I would like someone else suffering the same thing to tell about his or her positions regarding either the ascendant/moon or saggitarius in general. Thanks all ! (as im used to say, english is not my first language so please forgive eventually uncommon expressions...).

Hi, I'm not sure if I have this, but my seemingly restless legs do tend to annoy people sometimes, I'm always shaking or moving them. I always thought it was a Mercurial connection; Mercury square Uranus, Mercury conjunct MC, Mercury trine AC. The AC contact at least would directly involve physical body.

Thanks for answering!! Regarding the shaking of legs...so do I have that one: ive always vaguely thought of this as related to, for example, nail-bitting: in the sense that either seem to be caused by a sort of anxiety (i bite my nails somewhat periodically...).

I also bear eventually myoclonic-twitches when falling asleep, and always related it to the same symptoms too.

By the way, i also recall that for years, i used to have certain type of dream (rather nightmare like...) within which some kind of claustrophobia feeling emerged, as also a feeling of being unable to move and desperately trying to do so at a more or less random point in time in the dream...

The mercury positions in my chart (i dont post the entire chart just because i feel somewhat superstitious about so doing...a rather compulsive-behavior so far but anyway...if you ask me to look at particular positions or planets i would find it quite a good option...) are: mercury square moon; mercury conjunct sun; mercury square neptune; mercury trine uranus; mercury biquintile saturn; and at last, mercury at the Sun in the 4th house.

On a side-note...I don't personally consider RLS as a valid condition, I think sometimes people in medicine and science suffer from Ridiculous Constant Labelling Syndrome (RCLS) and so I don't think it could be 'found' in a chart. If in fact it is a real 'condition' then Mercury and/or Uranus have to be involved I'd say.

Isn't it just a stress/anxiety thing? Google is a long way away. Think I missed the chart anyway.

In wikipedia, by the way, they relate RLS to something of neurological nature, among other causes such as iron deficiency. But as neurology remains rather obscure to non-specialists, that is not a really enlightening thing to know about...
It seems to be a fact that some kind phenomena, rather awful certainly, lend itself to be called RLS...just because it deals with a sort of mirrored motion...i.e. a strange sensation of motion, when there is absolute quietness of legs (for example); so that the motion of legs becames (as) an outcome...The sensation, at the very beginning of the sketch is that of, while being almost absolutely quiet, reaching a point in which there is gradual sense of awareness of one`s legs existence...then, a sensation of thinking "what am i suppose to do with those...?"...and afterwards, it seems like the order of moving the legs goes beyond the parasympathetic system boundaries and the legs start to move...as a sort of reflect (inner reflect...cause a reflect is meant to be the outcome of something external...not from within...).

That's interesting. Thanks.

I am quite interested in neuroscience and neurological disorders.

So it's like the legs are responding to 'ghost' signals?

Indeed...ive just considered to use the word "ghost", "ghostly" or some other one of the kind...and simultaneously thought of some word relating something to do with "memory"; then i discarded either of them...perhaps because i started wondering about the relation between "memory" (say, Time), and "ghosts"...:innocent:
Actually, the idea of a ghost may be thought of one accuratelly depicting the sketch, in so far as this lends itself to be taken as one in which there is "something caged"...obviously speaking of the psychological side of it (i say this because i figure a doctor, say neurologist or something, telling something altogether-practical like..."it has to do with body...nevermind about anything else...go and take this pill..." and so on...).
On another level, i must say that i cant help but to let in some hypothesis taking into account the average-degree of daily physical activity by those (me...) eventually suffering these symptons: there has been several years for me lately, in which i literally used to stay put for very long hours (studying and reading books, largely); except for a couple of hours a day, say twice a week, where i used to go running...
So to speak methaphorically, i would say that, as one take the daily living resting upon a sort of thought-like task, then the body might appear to say: "well...it seems that you just have forgotten about me...Do you really think im nothing but a ghost"?
Even on another level, i remember that after a period (say a year and half) in which i used to do meditation (for almost an hour long at times, indeed), i eventually started to feel like wordly-business was not but pretty sluggish...
Anyway, i actually described such things but not a single bit to deny the "inmanent" side of the (so called) syndrome...that of the close-body-like side of it...
Greetings!!

I am also Sagittarius rising and have had trouble with RLS as well- I always thought it was from Virgo and Gemini in my chart.
We Sagittarius risings need more exercise than what is relatively normal so be sure to take the stairs ! :joyful: It will help most of that tingling and crawling feeling go away.

Sagittarius does have an affinity to the sacral plexus, and it is the detriment sign of Mercury (Mercury being affinitive with the nervous system) A Mercury/Mars connection might well be involved in some of these cases, and also there might be 3rd house (mind, mental situation), 9th, 11th and 12th house connections to be investigated. A restless trend is, of course, connected with mutable signs (here again we might see a Sagittarius affinity)
