Hi all,

I know this is a basic horary question, yet,I'm puzzled by this:

Which house should one use when asking about someone one has never met(but is planning to meet:))?

Let's say the hot guy you saw one day at school, which house would he be?7th or5th?

Hello,

it depends on what you are meeting this person for. In other words, if you are planning to have intercourse use the lord of the fifth house. Otherwise, the lord of the seventh

Hey lissa,
I think its the 3rd house in our system.
Just try and find out.
3rd house is the house of friends/neighbours.
The hot guy, is not yet a bf for 5th house or a spouse for 7th house.
Best way is to verify and see.
And hey let us all know :)

Sandeep, that is more of the way I was looking at it,as well. I thought either 3rd house, or possibly 11th house. My reasoning for 11th house is that groups of people are 11th house - and a group of schoolmates is a group of people? However, Aquarius is not only a group, but an individual in a group.

So, I thought that that would signify "one in the crowd" catching one's eye. (This incorporates the proper balancing of the polarity of Leo.) Although, that might make it a 5th house, since it is one who has caught your attention.

However, 3rd house makes a lot of sense, as well. But maybe that would be more accurate for a schoolmate you study with or socialize and interact with already. Lissa's guy is one who caught her eye because he is "hot". "Hot" seems to be a Leo kind of word.:D

But as you said, she needs to try all approaches and see which one fits. I'm going to stop now, because I am confusing myself.

Thank you both Sandeep and Freedomlover,

Well I'm also confused,I usually put the person you're asking about in the7th,and always in the7th,but maybe the7th house is not fitting for this type of "atraction",if I may call it,which is why I'm asking for other people's opinions.Personally,the5th makes more sense to me,but I'm not an expert so I don't know:34:.

I don't know how I'll find out, maybe I should start asking horary questions everytime an unknown guy catches my eye?I've never done until this day,my Venus in Aries is a little bit boy crazy(OK,just a little bit:rolleyes:)but I usually never meet this guys,I'm16and have no love life whatsoever!Seeing a hot guy across the street, spending the rest of the month dreaming about them and planning our wedding, until a new hot guy crosses my path and takes the former guy's place in my mind-ahaha,that's like the story of my life:D.If I casted a horary chart everytime this sort of things happen I think Lilly's spirit would probably get out of his grave and try to spank me to death LOOOL!

I don't know, maybe I should try to use the four houses mentioned(3rd,5th,7th and11th)to see what answers can I get,get back at this six months later and see which was the accurate one?

Hey FL,
Yes i think if its a love interest 5 has to fit in somewhere :D

But hey lissy's lovestruck, and she's that for all hot guys so i guess its just crowd not 'a special person'.

Aww Lissa, go out have fun, if not now when :D

You don't have to be married to use the 7th house, but you do have to have a deep emotional connection with this person, I would use the 5th house...Unless it's a question about a PROSPECTIVE relationship or someone you've met and have begun to have feelings for I would use the 5th.

Yes, absolutely the 7th ,a person you have no connection with , just another person. The 3rd is really about brothers, sisters, neighbors, the 5th about your lover (he is not yet and just thinking about that does not make him a lover either). The 11th is for real friends and he isn't that either. The 7th is used for partnerships but also for another person you do not have any connection with. Try that one-.

Thank you all for your input, even thoug I still have no idea lol.

So let me summarize:5th is for a non-committed lover,and7th is for a partner(who can also be a lover),right?

Thank you Al Nablusi:).

I decided to use every house mentioned,to see what can I come up with.I'm giving this horary6months to see what what happens.

Rising is 2º21' Capricorn so I'm Saturn,23º57'Leo in the8th.Moon is 8º51' Leo in the7th,touching the8th house cusp.End of the matter is Mars at14º51' Taurus in the4th.

3rd house:21º15'Pisces,so Jupiter Rx at10º41Sag in the 11th,really close to the12th house cusp.
-No conncetion between Saturn and Jupiter
-Moon applies to trine Jupiter
-No connection netween Jupiter and the end of the matter
Doesn't seem to be giving strong testimonial of a yes,so I'm taking this as a NO.

5th house:20º21' Taurus,so Venus,at 0º25' Virgo in the8th.
-No applying connection between Saturn and Venus
-No connection between Venus and the Moon
-No connection between the end of the matter and Venus
So NO.

7th house:2º21' Cancer,Mercury sits closely on the Descendant. The Sun is in the7th house as well.
-There is no applying aspect between Saturn and the Moon. However,Saturn is the next planet the Moon will conjunct before leaving Leo.
-No connection between Saturn and Mercury, neither between Saturn and the Sun,even if the Sun receives Saturn.
-Moon applies to square Nars(end of the matter)
The fact that Saturn is the Moon's next conjunction seems to be good..however,I'm not getting strong testimonial that something will happen..so NO.

11th house:20º21'Scorpio,so Mars.
-Mars is moving to square Saturn
-The Moon is moving to square Mars
-Mars applies to trine the Part of Fortune
Err...my experience with squares tells me that they often represent no action at all,so I'm taking this as a NO too.

Lissa, honestly, the 7th is not only for partners and longstanding relationships. It is also assigned to "other people you have no prior relationship with" It is also used for your dentist for instance. So I would suggest to first look at the 7th and then at the 5th of the 7th (his 5th) to see how his romantic interests are and your 5th house and maybe see if the signifiers of your 5th and his 5th make a positive contact. How about that? And yes, time will tell eventually anyways!! Good luck to you! Star.

Still,I won't stress much over this,is just a guy I saw someday:).

Best wishes,

Hi Lissa.

The appropriate house for the generic 'other person' is the seventh.

The only people that are found in the fifth house are our biological offspring. Encountering a person for sex is still a seventh house issue, the person that is. The sex itself is the fifth.

"The sex itself is the fifth."
Draco, I have always thougth the sex itself is the 8th. Ok 5th show the pleasures but this could be anything like partying, gambling. Sex must be the 8th yes?

Hi Elansome, I also think that the 5th is sex, but I see it as sex in order to produce a result, like making a baby. This sex has a purpose. The 8th house I indeed see as the sexual sex, without thinking of making babies, like porno sex.

If he's just someone who's there when you're there, like someone you see at the gym all the time simply because his gym times happen to coincide with yours, or someone you see at school for the same reason, this would be a 3rd house dude. Once you get to know him, he would become more of an acquaintance/friend, and then becomes 11th house. If a relationship develops, then he becomes 7th. A lot of horary practitioners use 7th for the other person, whether you know him or not, so you probably could use either method, as long as you knew which method you were going to use before you cast the chart.
