Re: Table of the Years of Life -

It's not your fault.

The article refers to a few different methods and the author themselves in the comments notes that she's uncertain where the 61 years came from - but it was likely a...

Re: How to get the geocentric positions of the planets?

Most astrology programs utilize the swiss ephemeris by astro.com.

Here's the documentation:

(It's mostly pretty simple to use if you follow along...

Re: Western chart vs Vedic natal chart

Yes, that is normal.

Most "vedic" astrologers use sidereal zodiac, and most western use tropical (though not all - it's really more correct to say tropical vs sidereal chart)

Unless your...

Re: assets

Yes, I was counting using Whole Signs.

I would use whole signs when counting FROM a point. But may, depending on the situation, use the cusp of a house as one of those points to start counting...

Re: Fixed stars in Sidreal astrology

The fixed stars are (relatively though not entirely) fixed.

Whether you change between tropical or sidereal zodiac they are located in the same place.

However, because tropical and sidereal...

Re: assets

First would be to look at the houses themselves, separately from the lord. What is in them, what aspects them.

Then you can look at position of the same lord relative to the house (i.e. Jupiter is...

Re: mental health problems in my chart?

Your Moon is with the north node, in the 4th sign (a place of security, both emotional and physical) opposing Saturn (a planet of lacks, fears and insecurity).

There is further an exchange...

Re: assets

Yes. But to be more specific in many cases you would also want to check the 7th house for trade (7th is also 10th from the 10th so always somewhat applicable to 10th house things). Especially so if...

Re: There's a certain problem in my life...

At some point you've bought into the idea that the spiritual and material worlds are somehow different and you can only be one or the other.

Your 9th lord, Moon (of spirituality) is in the 2nd...

Re: lost interest astrology

If you lose interest in something AND it isn't really providing you any good then I'm not sure why you'd continue with it.

There are no "certified" guidelines...particularly in modern astrology. I...

Re: Article about natal astrology being false

The problem is really right there.

There is no universal consensus in astrology about how to systematically analyze a (blind) chart. The astrologers did not even agree with each others conclusions.

Re: Effects of combustion of mars

I would be more concerned by Mars and Mercury together than I would by the combustion itself.

They don't tend to go well together and tend towards causing arguments.

It will, like with so many...

Re: Is it true traditional astrologers exclude modern planets?

There is perhaps some precedent for that in Jyotish as well. There is a portion of strength when calculating planets strengths called "paksha bala" - paksha meaning "side" and referring to the Moon....

Re: House ruler aspects

You're not looking too deeply and are correct.

Things happening to the 3rd lord will affect the 3rd house as the lord is responsible for maintaining those things. If he is not able to do his job...

Re: Asc @ 0.59Capricorn but not having Capricorn characteristics ?

The whole shebang. Planets, sign, cusps in the house are being worked over by NN. It is common to have issues with significations of those planets from what I have seen, yes.

Likely, yes....

I don't think it does. No more than any of the other myriad different opinions astrologers hold anyway.

Re: SR 2017 confused from the results...

Not wrong...just not as deep as you might need to.

First for example, there is the profection of the ascendant. It moves to your 12th house Capricorn, lord Saturn (who is in the 12th from it)....

Re: Can anyone tell me why I'm uncontrollable?

I don't think you need to go looking too deep to find it.

Your rising sign is Mars ruled which means your consciousness gets a Mars tinge to it. Mars is placed in the 10th (house of authority) and...

It often accompanies it. I wouldn't go so far as to say it creates success though. A lot of people have plenty of pain and struggle but no success. And some lucky people have a reasonable level of...

Re: Traditional astrology chart - Online calculator

Most traditional astrologers use the Egyptian terms, not the Ptolemy or Chaldean ones. So you will probably want to include the Egyptian terms, yes.
