Re: What is your Elemental +/- # Rating?

You are apparently a very negative person. Try smiling.

But to call you negative...sounds so negative. Let's call you Yin instead.

If +4-4 is "balanced", and +7-1 is whacko, then a +5-3 split...

Re: What proof is there that pisces is co-ruled by jupiter?

No proof needed.

Astrology has no validity of itself. It requires human beings to bring it into being. Astrology is a system of thought created within man's mind.

This is seen in the many...

Re: DETRIMENT state of AQUARIUS SUN is WEAK and DEBILITATED

I prefer the word "exile" to debility. Of course we could revert to that good old term "descension".

But really understanding how this "debility" shows up in real people's lives is more important...

Re: Why I always have health problem?

Let's look at Mars.

The chart pattern is a Bowl. Mars occupies the position of leading, or cutting, planet. This planet shows how, with what sort of energy, we go out to meet life. This planet...

Re: Sun in Essential Detriment in Tropical Aquarius

Let's try to see how dignity works out. Mohammad Ali was a fighter, a warrior.
But his Mars is in Detriment in Taurus. And his Sun is "weak" by house, standing in the 6th. All three planets in...

Re: Sun in Essential Detriment in Tropical Aquarius

They are called "Essential" dignities. Things essential are not conditional. The debilities are also essential.

Essential dignities are those related to the signs: domicile, exaltation,...

Re: Why I always have health problem?

Mars is in high focus; his influence penetrates the whole chart.

He stands squarely on the 6th cusp. He is retrograde, strengthened by being in Scorpio. He is square Neptune and Uranus, opposes...

What is, is. That's what is communicated to the native. I need not tell the client his Sun is "debilitated in Aquarius". That is meaningless to him. I need to tell him how wonderful he is.

Re: Sun in Essential Detriment in Tropical Aquarius

The astrologer sees them as in debility and understands the use and significance of the condition. The native knows only what he has been given, and has nothing to compare it with.

Re: Natal retrogrades

I put little stock in cazimi.

What it does for sure is put Emphasis on the 23rd degree of Gemini. The Sabian Symbol for this degree is "Three fledglings in a nest high in a tree".

I also have...

Re: Natal retrogrades

Mercury turns direct at age 11, Venus age 20.

Cazimi is when a combust planet is "within the heart of the Sun", or within 16' of the center of the Sun (32' is one solar diameter.) It supposedly...

Re: Sun in Essential Detriment in Tropical Aquarius

The native does not see his astrological affliction as an affliction. I suppose he/she is too close.

I have Sun, Mars,Jupiter and Neptune all in exile, and they all seem normal to me. It's all...

Re: Saturn in 1st house = does he always destrothe question, I wondery the question?

The stricture applies to horary charts, not natal.

A chart can still be read even when it is "not fit to be read." And very often they should be read.

Let's assume that Saturn in the First, in...

Re: Saturn in 1st house = does he always destroy the question?

I doubt that it is irrelevant.

I pay attention to "Saturn in the First House damages the question; Saturn retrograde in the First House kills the question."

Re: What rising signs do you meet the most?

Signs of long ascension spend more time on the horizon, thus there are more people born under them.

You don't have to ask anyone; it's statistical.

Re: The Ascendant

The Asc moves, on average, one degree in 4 minutes, not 2.

The mean motion of the Moon is around 1312' per day, 33' per hour (about one lunar diameter).

We practice a geocentric astrology..."earth-centered". It is our only possible perspective.

The last two sentences of my post explain why I view Sun as "ruling" the ecliptic. Everything orbits...
