Smile Re: The Ascendant

Each planet has its own ecliptic, and the zodiac we use is in the Earth's ecliptical plane. It's an Earth/Sun relationship, with the transiting Sun from the Geocentric perspective, marking Earth's...

Hadn't thought of mutual reception using Exalted placements. I've always seen it as Domicles, but I like the idea. How would you say the Square affects it? I could use Exalted for mutual reception in...

Transiting Mars/Saturn square, advantage Domicled Saturn over Mars, which has little authority in Libra, opposite of its own Domicile-sign.

In 12/12, the Sun is Regulating-ruler of Scorpio. During the tropical Age of Scorpio, that was Ra, personification of the Sun itself (Helios/Sol in Greco-Roman). When the Regulating-ruler of a Sign...

There was a Trad versus Mod conflict when I first joined that was quite contentious. It's much less so now.

CAPs, do you have any problem with a female version of the planet :uranus:? Goes to gender fluidity.

Once the connection is made between the planet :uranus: and the Muse of astrology, Urania, it's clear that the Domicle-ruler of Aquarius is the intelligence behind the development and study of...

In Daumer's chart, it stops at Saturn. But there's a power struggle between Saturn and Venus, due to the dominating nature of Saturn, with Venus included in the sequence, along with the Earth's...

Smile Re: The Ascendant

Mostly agree, except that the zodiac is Earth-centered, with a transiting Sun. I see the ecliptic as "belonging" to the Earth itself. Objectively speaking, the Sun's transit is tracking Earth's orbit...

Okay, looked around and found varying opinions. So, I'll drop the "Dispositor" label, and call it the Ascendant rulership sequence. If it stops at a Domicle-ruler, that's the sole Asc ruler. If not,...

I could describe what I'm doing as the Asc-Sequence Dispositorship, with a final Dispositor only in the case of a Domicled placement.

Interesting. That's not in the glossary you linked to, and I hadn't heard of it. The word "final", as I understood it, is that it's a Dispositor sequence ending with a Domicled planet, so it stops...

Speaking of Daumer's chart, score one for 12/12, keying off the Ascendant to determine the final Dispositor. Conventionally, in both Trad and Mod, Venus is Domicle-ruler of both Libra and Taurus, so...
