Yes, I would say having the Neptune oppose Pluto at the same time was making it harder for you. What I have found is when Pluto come calling it has a way of calling bull sh$t on whatever it touches....

I think with Uranus this can't be a bundle as it lies outside of the trine. At around 167 degrees from Mars it is short of an opposition but still provides the edge of the rim IMO
