Welcome. Important is to gain insight reading a couple of good books. I would recommend Robert Hand, Liz Greene, Sasportas, Pottinger to start with. There is a good iPad app: AstroWorx.

That's fine, but in the concrete example of a very tight conjunction between Mercury, Saturn and Jupiter, it is in my mind still not clear... I still say the negativism of Saturn combats the...

Well, looks like I go moved... It was not my chart, and I was not interested in a chart interpretation, just how to handle a mercury conjunction with both saturn and jupiter... But anyways... :)

Yes, but how can you simultaneously have opposite forces working? Optimism/Pessism, etc.

Let's take Mercury square Jupiter, Mercury square Saturn. They are both strong aspects, and contradict each in their influence. The one expands, the other inhibits. Do they cancel each other out?...

I am not in India. In the West astrology is not a science (you should know this.. :biggrin: ).

I never said that. I also never said the scientific method was relevant to testing astrology. You said the scientific method requires 250 charts. Where is your reference that this is so? :)
