Re: What do y'all think about the asteroid Hephaestus Hephaistos (2212)?

My Janus software interprets Hephaistos as HEPHAISTOS
"Problems with the limbs (usually the legs) lameness, crippling, parental abandonment (most often by the mother,) to be "an issue" of...

Re: What do y'all think about the asteroid Hephaestus Hephaistos (2212)?

I might also point out parallels between Hephaistos the smithy and the Germanic legends of a smithy variously called Wayland, Wolund, Volundr, &c. He shows up in the Norse sagas as a master...

Re: Do you see placements that suggest this is the birth chart of a legendary singer?

Venus in Taurus is supposedly good for a singer, because Venus is domiciled and Taurus-- in addition to the 2nd house-- rules the throat.

Mercury is the traditional ruler of money, and is the tip...

I agree with the point you are making, yet it is an amazing chart. The Mars-Venus opposite saturn-Neptune in 12 is something else. Certainly suggests a strong capability to sense and wield emotional...

Re: Janis Joplin's chart doesn't say "Janis Joplin" to me.

Planets in 12th have difficulty getting out, and a grand trine is "complete", so there isn't a "handle" to grasp onto for an exit.

Re: Janis Joplin's chart doesn't say "Janis Joplin" to me.

During the Festival Express tour, Joplin was accompanied by Rolling Stone writer David Dalton, who later wrote several articles and two books on Joplin. She told Dalton:

I'm a victim of my own...

"She also said that if she were to avoid singing professionally, she would have to become a keypunch operator (as she had done a few years earlier) or a secretary, and then a wife and mother, and she...

Re: Janis Joplin's chart doesn't say "Janis Joplin" to me.

She was a Poet. But she was a poet living a Rock Star life. And it killed her in the end....

Her Neptune @ 1Libra rules the intercepted 1st. It is 'who she was' but she couldn't easily carry...

Re: Janis Joplin's chart doesn't say "Janis Joplin" to me.

She was actually quite vulnerable, naive, and shy, too. Yes, she was rebellious, but she was also very soulful and sensitive. I respectfully disagree, her 12th house gave her her soulfulness when she...

Re: Do you think it's possible to completely reconcile square energy?

One of which is that square energy is there to challenge those softer aspects that have acquired a laxadaisical attitude, and give them 'a push' in another direction.
E.g. A flighty, emotional,...

Re: Do you think it's possible to completely reconcile square energy?

I have read that the mutable energies are the easiest to handle, the next one being fixed, then the most difficult being the cardinal energies. The reasoning is that even though the fixed energies...

Re: Do you think it's possible to completely reconcile square energy?

Not sure I buy that mutable squares result in an easier reconciliation of conflicting energies. The mutability could easily manifest as an inability to focus and dissipation whereby the native cannot...

Re: Do you think it's possible to completely reconcile square energy?

Yes, in the case of tight Fixed Squares, it may just be the case of learning to 'accept' the imbalance and internal conflict with some finesse.

I have an angular, exact T-square to Pluto/So...

Re: OK, so Mercury conjunct Uranus is a "genius" aspect.

I think "abrupt" is a good keyword with Uranus. With a Mercury contact, we can talk about flashes of insight, intuition and/or inspiration, unexpected shifts in perspective... But also drawing blank,...

Re: Twelfth house hidden enemies and our saboteur

In my opinion, Saturn is not our saboteur but the key to seeing it and understanding it or where we sabotage ourselves. Saturn shows you fear and your fears are where you need to explore if you want...

Re: Twelfth house hidden enemies and our saboteur

I am a big fan of the 12th house personally as it is the repository of all the other houses and as a water house is spiritually reflective in nature. I find the Pisces/Neptune energy quite magical,...

Yes, I think it makes sense what you’re saying. Consciously gravitating to people with significant placements in my 12th has helped me see how I am projecting energy I actually disavow.

Re: Janis Joplin's chart doesn't say "Janis Joplin" to me.

The most angular planet is Saturn, but it is Saturn conjunct to Uranus. She will be tense and subject to violent mood swings. She will be irascible, paradoxical, enigmatic, and provocative. ...

Re: How do you describe applying and separating aspects?

It also depends upon what type of chart you are reading. They are critical in horary astrology.

In a modern natal chart interpretation, the horoscope is treated more like a snapshot, or still...
