Sir, P.S. Shastri says karaka lagna tells about innate tendencies. And Pt. Sanjay Rath says its the seat of real self or soul and gives a clue as to desire of atman. Hehehe..As you may have already...

Sure. When moon is in angular house from lagna or there are planets in kendras from lagna or moon, kemdruma cancels. You've both these placements.

I don't think that this planet would be called vargottama, a planet is vargottama only when it is in same sign in D_1 and D-9, if the planet is also in same sign in other divisional chart it is known...
