Quite the contrary. Lion 15° degree might very well be the best degree between all degrees in the Zodiac. It's related with Micheal Archangel and in ancient times it was called "the heart of Lion"....

Indeed Saturn is the ruler of the Asc, is in conjuction with the ascending node and is trine to the ruler of the X house which is Jupiter in exaltation.

I think yes.

I used the 3rd house for your travel (assuming is not a very distant and long travel).
Ruler of the third house is Saturn at the Asc in conjuction with the node. So my answer would...

I saw the chart you posted but it has the Ascendent in the early grades (2°Libra) and I don't see a clear reflection the theme on the chart.

Moon in VIII house, so it could mean they're both dead...

Since you are Venus I just watched the first aspect between Venus (You) and Mars (Him) which happen to be in 20°, I then forward the date of 20 days and Venus indeed make an aspect to Mars.

Probably then I watching the wrong chart, since the one you posted has the IV house in Capricorn.

Anyway there is also Uranus next to the Moon to consider. I don't know how to interpret it, but...

You are Venus
He is Mars
Saturn is his family (ruler of the IV house) which is squared to Venus so I think he had some problems with his family and couldn't call you.
